This accommodation is a hostel which provides a very good service. I would say that it is specializing in rather young travelers, who need a reasonably priced accommodation while having a basic standard for living, good access to the city sights, an opportunity to cook for yourself in the community area and to meet other travelers, while having also your own room as a retreat. The staff is internationally minded, fluent/native in English and helpful based on an extraordinarily good, welcoming, a bit American-style (in the positive meaning of the term) service attitude. A plus is that the hostel works and is equipped, according to basic Japanese custom, which provides the guests an idea of true Japanese lifestyle (e.g., you have to take off your shoes before entering the hostel, which is a custom in all private Japanese houses as well as in many Japanese restaurants). This authentic Japanese experience gets extended by the environment of the hostel. The hostel is not very centrally located (but with shops, nice restaraurants and convenience shops around the hostel) but well enough that guests are able to reach all sights within a reasonable period of time, considering the size of Tokyo. However, Tokyo's Skytree tower is relatively close. Relatively close are also subway lines (e.g., Ginza line) and bus lines that make it also well manageable to reach the airports. Considering the price level in Tokyo the price/performance ratio of the hostel is very good.

Basically I have nothing to complain, since the hostel, of course, provides rather a kind of basic but very convenient service. However and unfortunately my WiFi access did not work flawlessly (but it worked - maybe, this was because I booked through a third-party booking platform which hotel/hostel owners sometimes consider disadvantageous for them so that they provide rooms then with bad WiFi access or other limited services). Moreover, I had to heat my room through the AC/heating device by myself (which is, however, understandable and acceptable, considering the energy savings generated by this approach). A bit disadvantageous was that the only way to heat the bathroom was to keep the bathroom door open to the living room.

The staff were absolutely exceptional, the most accommodating hostel owners/workers I've ever encountered. The location was also good - great food away from too much hustle and bustle. The downstairs facilities were also homely and welcoming, with everything we needed.

The only disappointing factor is that my friends in the family room needed to use a separate shower downstairs. The hot water in this shower turned off at a certain time in the evening, which was not ideal in the winter.

Lovely small hostel with shared kitchen and lounging area. It was a really nice social space and the staff and other guests were all very friendly. The properties location was incredible and truly the best place to be in Tokyo, it was near a few walking only areas which made it super chill and lovely to wander through.

Everything was great. We stayed for 3 weeks and loved our time there. If there had to be something it would be that our room had very little natural light, and did not have a japanese toilet.

Amazing staff, value for money. Everything was comfortable. The place is a walking distance to all the must-see areas in Asakusa. I love the common kitchen area! You can cook, heat up food, wash your dishes, etc. They also have a space for lounging and playing the guitar/some boardgames

The common watering jug was full of moulds. I had to clean it off. (For travellers: The place is clean-as-you-go, so even the rubbish from the bin must be brought down when full.) The room is also tiny, but that’s ok. It’s what you get for the price

Location was really great in the heart of Asakusa, within 5-10 minute walk to Sensoji Temple and to Sumida river. Approx. 10-15 minutes walk to a train station. The staff were very friendly and shared solid recommendations! Would definitely recommend.

As a solo traveller, I stayed in the shared dorm which is on the 5th floor. Before arriving, I wasn't aware that the elevator doesn't reach the 5th floor, so you take the elevator to the 4th floor then walk up to the 5th floor. Within the shared room there's a toilet with a door, but the sink is in the same space as the beds and one of the beds is directly next to the sink. So you can hear people wash/rinse and if you're in the bed beside the sink you might get splashed. There's also only 1 shared shower and it's on the 4th floor.

Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly! So easy to extend my stay, seek assistance with any questions. Extremely clean facilities too, throughout the day I heard them going absolutely HAM while cleaning a shower that only I had used that day (I was the only one in the dorm for my entire stay). It really shows how serious they take the cleanliness. Very secure place too, every time you want to come in and out of the property, you need your code, makes sure no randoms can come into the lobby and whatnot. The location is a little far from the main station BUT it’s a nice walk there. Very close to cool markets, temples and a 24h Donki

The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The location ist really Central, especially if you want to visit the temple. The bunk bed is simple but we slept well. Great value for Money.

It was a very simple room, quite noisy (the neighbourhood + Thin window) and a bit cold. The bed sheet kept sliding of the mattress during the night and I had to be careful not to bang my head. I wouldnt recommend the bunk bed for older or walking impaired people.

We had a very comfortable and memorable stay! It was a great start to our holiday. The staff here are lovely and the location was absolutely perfect - we were in the heart of Asakusa, within walking distance to the station, sensōji, lots of restaurants/shops (Donqi, uniqlo etc.) and a Family Mart around the corner. The hostel was quiet, calm and well air-conditioned which was a great relief from the summer heat/humidity outside.

We would suggest choosing a room with a window/view as it did feel a little dark/small without outside light!

We stayed 4 nights at the hostel and had a lovely time. The private room was spacey enough to keep the luggage and had three shelves in the shower room so storing things was easy. More roomy than other more expensive places we saw in tokyo. The location is great, near the lively center of Asakusa but in a quiet and safe alley. There was just some noise on Saturday night and some individual people talking loudly from the street sometimes, but overall you don't hear the sound from the most crowded streets of the neighborhood. The two girls of the staff were really nice and welcoming, they speak perfect English and were very helpful.

Everything was nearly perfect, one thing we would maybe advice is that a small working area was set somewhere in the shared spaces so that people working at their computer could have a place other than the table in the kitchen. There was often a guy working in the kitchen (not sure if he was from the staff or just staying and working from the hostel) in the mornings and evenings and seemed always serious and busy and it killed the welcoming and warm mood a bit, we didn't feel really cozy cooking and being around the kitchen. But there's also a big table in the living area so we could make something and eat it there. Just a small advice that it would have been nicer if the kitchen was just for people cooking and eating and chatting and had a more "hostel-like" feel.
