Beautiful hotel located a minute away from the temple grounds. Has a relaxing ryokan feel in the middle of busy Tokyo. Room was small by North American standards, but clean and well maintained. Bed and pillow are firm, but I personally prefer it that way, so I was even more comfortable than at my own home. Toiletries such as toothpaste, razor and toothbrush were included. Pyjamas were also available. There was free delicious soba noodles every night, along with tea, coffee, and ice cream. Yakult was free in the morning. The mineral bath was nice and hot, and made your skin super soft. It was open long hours, from 5 am to 1 am. Washers are free to use, and dryers cost 100 yen for 20 minutes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and well worth the money. It's too bad I had to move to the next hotel.

Great location, walking distance to the famous shrine. Hotel facilities were great, free drinks and ramen during night time. Tattoo covers were provided for anyone who wanted to get in onsen. Free ice creams after onsen which is a plus.

Customer service needs to improve, all of the receptionist needs training as they weren’t friendly at all. No guidance on what to do whilst we arrived and they expect us to know where to put shoes, etc (even tho there’s sign but some explanation would be great). Suspect they are racist to Asian. The only hotel that I’ve been in Japan with bad customer service. Did not expect to receive this kind of service for a four star onsen hotel.

The breakfast was amazing. Never left feeling hungry and it was delicious. The onsen, once you get the hang of the routine becomes a thoughtless relaxing experience. The hotel itself is very clean and they have washing machines if you are traveling light and on an extended stay. Close to Senso-Ji Shrine and not a far walk from the Asakusa and Tarawamachi metro stations.

The rooms are slightly small, so it is better to bring smaller luggage if possible. The AC remote is in Japanese, so you will need Google Lens to translate everything on the remote the first time until you remember the settings.

Nice location in Asakusa, there is a black water onsen included, its mostly travellers using it. The dark water gives a lot of privacy.

The hotel charged me $1900 more than the confirmed booking.com fee when checking in and did not give any reason for this.

Comfy room, excellent use of space- if anything larger than average for Tokyo. Loved the shower pressure, beds were quite comfortable. I like the Tatami mats throughout the floors and rooms. Check in and check out were very easy. Particularly loved some of the "bonuses"- free noodles during late night, ice cream and Yakult during the day outside the Onsen. Breakfast was traditional Japanese. Price is very reasonable for Tokyo.

Some small things could have been better- many of the people working the check in area don't speak much English, which is fine for basic things, but made requests like an extra pillow more challenging. The room was not quite as clean on initial arrival as I would have liked but was spotless after one day of housekeeping. About a 10 minute walk to nearest train station- fine most of the time, but a little challenging with big bags.

The onsen facilities were wonderful! The hotel was very clean and looked amazing inside! The bed was a good size and very comfortable. The staff spoke very good English to me at the reception and were very helpful.

There's not much I didn't like it was an overall great experience! Just keep in mind when you enter this hotel you are expected to remove your shoes and place them in a locker near the door, I did not know to do this at first just because I wasn't expecting it.

Excellent location near restaurants and shopping Convenient access to Sensō-ji Temple, ideal for avoiding crowds Clean and comfortable rooms Complimentary pajamas and slippers Relaxing and well maintained onsen with provided toiletries Free washing machine; 100 yen for 20 minutes of dryer use Delicious breakfast, ice cream and ramen in the evening, and yakult in the morning

Limited taxi access during weekends/events/business hours. Can get loud when the amusement park is open, the hotel is right next to a roller coaster, so I heard a lot of screaming. Can also get loud at night due to the outdoor seating from surrounding restaurants.

Location: close to some great local eateries and restaurants. Uniqlo and Don Quijote within 5-10 mins walk. Room: clean and comfortable, won’t be large for most western travellers, but not small for Tokyo. Breakfast: love the ikura, sashimi, rice and miso soup. Bread was great too (you toast these yourself in the mini oven). It is slightly pricey though - 2,300 yen. There is however a 350 yen ramen place in the arcade right opposite and February Kitchen (5 mins walk) has great Western breakfast and great coffee. Free ramen (9.30 pm - 11 pm). Onsen in the hotel and there is Yakult in the morning and ice lollies on the floor with the onsen.

Nothing! But bear in mind shoes are not allowed in the hotel so you will need to keep them in the shoe locker at the entrance. Also, there are one entrance (for those with their cars) and another for guests. They are around the corner from each other.

The location was perfect: near to subway lines that offered direct service to many places I wanted to go and there is a warren alleys and arcades where you can eat out and go shopping for souvenirs surrounding the hotel. I loved the traditional spa “pajamas” and Japanese-style socks they provided and the hot mineral spa was awesome (especially after a long day of sight seeing). It was fun seeing everyone walking around the hotel barefoot or in socks. I treated myself to their Japanese breakfast on the last day and would definitely recommend it. It is something special!

I found it difficult to find (google sent me to a restaurant and the waitress there took me to another hotel— an annex, maybe?). Some of the desk staff could have been a bit more friendly.

Located near the temple and the surrounding bustling tourist area, it's fun and energetic. The floors are all tatami mats which is a neat feature. The hotel offers a public bath, complimentary soba in the evening, and complimentary washer with pay for usage dryers. Complimentary amenities are provided in the room and in the drawers. The front lobby offers a luggage disposal service should you buy a new luggage and wish to throw away your old one. If you've stayed at a dormy inn, this is the slightly higher class version.

While the tatami mats were neat, having to take you shoes off at the lobby and store them in lockers with keys became a hassle, especially if the lockers were completely filled up or if you had to run up to your room real quick. Room are pricey for their size, you're paying for the public bath, even if you don't use them. While it's fun to be in the bustling area, it can also be an annoyance because it's very crowded outside and inside the hotel.
