The room was large for a Japanese room and the beds were very comfortable. First time staying in a ryokan. The price was worth it because we got free access any time to all the public onsens. If we had to pay, it’ll be JPY500-1000 per session. The ryokan also has 2 onsens for more privacy. When we were using it, no one else can come in. Was good “practice” for first time onsen users like us. At the ryokan, there is a Michelin star Tajima beef restaurant-reasonable prices for Michelin star. Tajima beef is same as Kobe beef but cheaper cos not so famous. Free breakfast at the cafe downstairs was superb. We can sit for free at the cafe downstairs from 4.30pm-7pm and get free drinks including wine, beer etc Location superb-5 minutes from Kinosakionsen Station, 10-15 minutes walk to any good restaurant. The staff were so helpful and the receptionist speaks English. WiFi a bit slow but I don’t think it’s the ryokan’s fault cos Kinosakionsen is a small town so may not have many towers. Will definitely return again and again. Very relaxing holiday

A perfect traditional hotel in this lovely spa town. It may seem a bit pricey but it includes a magnificent dinner (some of the best beef I've tasted), a free bar in the early evening, and free access to all the onsens in town, as well as yukata etc to visit them in. I had a traditional room with western beds, the ideal compromise for comfort and style in my view. Don't forget to visit the in-house onsen as well - very nice indeed.

Such a great place, a strong recommendation. Room was big and decorated in Japanese style according to traditional house. Staff was friendly and if English was an issue, they used a google translation and no problems. Good breakfast and a nice happy hour with free drinks. The restaurant was slso great, specialized to beef dishes. Short walking distance from the railway station.

Wonderful staff, very patient with a non Japanese speaker. Traditional room is lovely, comes with a complimentary yukata (4 sizes available) to wear around town to the baths and a pass that gives you 26 hours access to all the baths. Super convenient to the train station and still close to everything else. Amazing breakfast and dinners. I hope to come back in the future!
Room does not have a shower, just sink and toilet. I may not have read the description closely.

A beautiful hotel, 3 minutes walk from the train station. The staff were amazing, always so friendly and welcoming. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable and warm. We had dinner at the restaurant during our stay and it was amazing. The beef truly is exceptional. There are two private onsens in the hotel (no public), and we were able to use them multiple times during our stay without any wait. The breakfast included with the room rate was also very good. Happy hour (free drinks) at the hotel in the afternoons was a nice surprise. You get an onsen pass when you arrive at the hotel to use all 7 public onsens in the town for free (one is currently closed for renovations). We stayed for two nights and comfortably visited them all. You can use the onsen pass until 1pm on the day of checkout. We stayed as a celebration for my wife's birthday and I am very happy I chose this hotel.
We stayed in an annex room and the bathroom area was noticeably colder that the bedroom and living area (no heating in that area). It would have been convenient to use the hotel towels in the public onsen after checkout, as we were returning to the hotel to pick up our bags and return the onsen passes, at which time we could have returned the towels. Not a complaint but one thing to note, the prices advertised in the room for the Tajima beef dinner start at 7,000 yen but go much higher depending on the cut of meat you choose. We weren't aware and didn't see the full menu before we booked so we were a little surprised by the price when we paid on checkout. Easily avoidable if you check the menu when you order, but just something to be aware of.

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful! They helped carry our luggage into the room and when checking out. They also spoke good English. The room was lovely and sizable, and the location a very short walk away from the onsen buildings. The price was also great compared to some other local ryokans. Free snacks, food and alcohol in the lounge. The restaurant located in the same building was previously included in a Michelin guide. Incredibly good food, I recommend it even with the somewhat high price! All in all, great experience staying here and will happily recommend it to any other visitors!

The traditional-style rooms are comfortable, and the provision of yukatas and kits for use in the village's various onsen adds a unique touch to the experience. Despite its simplicity, the breakfast is complete and delicious. The stay includes a pass for complimentary access to the village's onsen, as well as the option to use the hotel's private onsen.
The bar offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, along with snacks, but its service is limited to a short period in the afternoon. Extending the hours until midnight would enhance the experience.

We had an amazing time! The 7 onsens are amazing and doable in a one night stay if you are organised. The room was lovely. The team were very helpful. The private pools were lovely and we used them in the morning before we checked out. As an FYI the Onsen voucher lasts until 3pm the day you check out if you bring our rent your own towel. So close to the train station - very easy to book your train tickets here compared to Osaka or Kyoto as the ques are smaller. The meals were very large so much so that we had barely any lunch the day we arrived and the day we left and didn't need any other food in Kinosaki. The accommodation is just down the road from a convenience store too for drinks or cash out etc.
Check in time was 3pm not 2pm as per the message we got when booking so we arrived early. But that was ok as they held our luggage and we went out and explored the shops.

This was my third time visiting Kinosaki Onsen, but this was my best stay. The location is perfect, right between the train station and the main street. The staff are kind, helpful and proactive. They explain everything kindly, help with your bags (they even put little cosies on my suitcase wheels!) And while most of the Ryokan in the area provide yukata and obi (traditional robes) to wear while you go to the onsen's in town - this was the first that had a wide range of sizes (important because I am quite tall) and also let you choose from a drawer with a bunch of different colors and styles. It was such a nice personal touch. There were also two private onsen you can use for free. It's nice to be able to use with your partner as the public onsen are of course gender separated. The room was very comfortable (many can be cold this time of year, but it was so nice we didn't even need to turn on the heater) - with very comfortable futon (Note: It's traditional so you will be sleeping on futon on the floor, but once you get used to it it's very comfortable.) There was even a fridge and kettle. Note the bathroom has a toilet but no shower/bath - but it doesn't really matter to me because I'm there to use all the onsen! Finally the included breakfast the next morning was delicious, as was the coffee that came with it! 11/10
That I had only booked one night and couldn't stay forever! ;)

I was lucky with the weather as the day I arrived and stayed there for 2 nights, it was sunshine but just before I leave the rain comes for a next few days! The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk from station, the room is spacious and just a few steps away from private onsen, so I did enjoy very much onsen - early morning, afternoon and late at night.
I would prefer to have more choices for breakfast, the chef is nice, quick and always with smile!
