The rooms were spacious and clean. They were equipped with a safe box; and generally the hotel felt very safe. It was in a relatively good are of Nairobi.

The majority of the staff did not speak English; so naturally they couldn't be as helpful when we had questions about the city.

The rooms are pretty comfortable and spacious. The breakfast options were good and varied everyday. The restaurant on the rooftop is Chinese and serves authentic dishes. I tried a few dishes in the Hotel restaurant and were decent. Could have done better but again that's my individual preferences. The service in the restaurant is fast. Entire staff team is attentive and polite. Check-in & Check-out process was smooth. The Hotel is at a very good location but the selection of room side matters. One side of the Hotel has an excellent view of a beautiful community with playgrounds and buildings at distance but the other side is facing to the adjacent building without any view which I had. However it didn't matter much to me as I barely stayed in the room. Overall a good experience. Keep it up.

Personally for me, the food at the restaurant was average according to my taste and preference. No judgements here. To my surprise the room did not have an Air-Con, but a ceiling Fan. Although the weather during my stay was cold and didn't need the air-con but not sure how would it be comfortable during the peak summer days.

The staff of the Hotel were really friendly and approachable. They were always willing to answer my questions and render assistance. I will never forget how the security guard even stood next to me while i was waiting for my BOLT Car ride (Taxi) to arrive. They kept me company with conversation and made sure the driver was not lost. The area is very safe and close to westgate shopping mall which any tourist can comfortably walk around in and enjoy the usual creature comforts (Restaurants, food, cinema etc). They have a restaurant which is helpful if you are lazy to leave the hotel for food. The breakfast was good. Nice view of the playing field opposite the hotel where you can see international people all playing sports together. There was not too much noise in the room. The microwave and full sized fridge were great additions meaning you have some ability to prepare food. There are no pots and pans/ plates but that didnt bother me. Room was very clean and comfortable. No AC but again that didnt bother me and seems to be a common thing in Kenya.

I wouldn't say I had anything I didn't like, but it is probably worth noting that as a solo traveler I never really felt totally comfortable walking along the streets even though the westlands area is supposed to be very safe. There was nothing wrong with the area but I guess I just felt it was a bit intimidating. But that being said, it is very safe and easy and comfortable to book a ride from the hotel to wherever you want to go at an affordable rate. I even went out at night and didnt feel unsafe taking the car rides.

The room was nice, with a large fridge microwave and a kitchen sink.. This was useful. The furniture, the bed and the linen were all good. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were nice, helpful and friendly. We left a day earlier due to personal emergency but enjoyed our short stay.

The entry charges to all the parks were bit high. The rates were recently hiked up.. probably a reason there were fewer tourists.. Kenya is a great destination, the food was exceptionally good and all restaurants were clean and well equipped.. We ate at the Carnivore, Java burgers and Sarit mall ... amazing food, good ambience The Masai market is the ity centre was a great place to pick up curios.. Giraffe centre and the National park were good...

Bed was very comfy, room was large, breakfast selection was good. Clean bathroom. Location was alright, it is not walkable to too many things but everyone seem to know it. It is included in the pick up list of the rivierside shuttle company if you are planning to go by bus to Arusha.. anyway it is safer to travel with uber after dark.

The room we got was on the 1st floor and the balcony was basically facing the next hotel. So ask for a room on the higher floors. We didnt care so much since we were only staying there for 2 nights to rest before safari. It is a bit higher end on the price compared to what is available in nairobi but since it was the first place we were staying at as soon as we landed, we wanted a hotel with 24 hour reception and not a swrvice apartment. We later realized that some service apartments also have 24 hr service.

Everything was clean and comfortable in the room. And the receptionist in the morning was lovely and super helpful.

Unfortunately we didn't feel the same welcome from the receptionist when we checked in. As far as the room itself, all the kitchen shelves and drawers were empty, no plates, knives and forks etc, so I'm not sure the reason for the kitchenette in the first place.

The food is great - naturally very vegan friendly, very tasty and plenty of options. The staff and security were lovely. Perfect location. Gate and security for increased safety. Stored luggage whilst we left for a few days! Room was nice and spacious. Everything was 10/10 and so affordable. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Safe was already locked so had to wait for them to fix this after checking in - not a problem though, was resolved within an hour.

We stayed at Lotos pre and post my husband's surgery. The Hotel staff were amazing. The receptionists were welcoming. They accommodated our needs and were concerned and helpful. The cleaning staff were amazing. Special thanks to Lucy and Peter for making our stay comfortable. Breakfast had good variety and the in-house Garden restaurant(Chinese) is really good. Though the room service menu should have more options other than Chinese food. Location is close to big malls and restaurants.

Loved the breakfast. So much to choose from!!. When it came to choosing from the cooked breakfast - no two days were the same.Except for the eggs which were cooked to one's preference. We got to try local foods that we would never have tried. Most of the staff were super attentive and welcoming and cheerful all he time. Loved the foliage outside the rooms and the decor in the restaurant - the pictures on line don't do the place justice. Comfortable beds and lovely hot showers

The complimentary slippers were really lovely but we only got one pair in each room.

Rooms were kept very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful Location in the Westlands is excellent (walking Distance to most attractions) Rooms were quite large and Kitchenette came in handy at times (large fridge)

1. Shower ran Hot and cold sporadically which was a bit annoying 2. WiFi often went down to a dead slow/stop. Eg. Netflix viewing had many screen freezes and sometimes resets were required 3. No Swimming Pool 4. No Gym
