I wanted to visit the cathedral so the location was perfect as was walking distance. I arrived very late to the hotel and received a warm welcome. room service was available as the restaurant had closed by this time. The room was clean and very comfortable. Toiletries were provided as were some snacks from the mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. The decor of the hotel was lovely. My booking had not included breakfast so unable to comment on the food but the coffee was very nice. There was no time to enjoy the pool in the lovely surroundings. I would definitely stay again in the event of travelling to Nairobi

Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with a great housekeeping team. Very warm outdoor pool (31 degrees). Lovely spa section with sauna, jacuzzi and wonderful therapies by experienced staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a great choice of healthy options, including a variety of fresh juices, homemade muesli with seeds and choices of nuts, milk alternatives such as almond, rice or soy, gluten free options and more. Best a la carte meals are from the Indian cuisine menu.

The waiting time for a la carte meals in the restaurants was often close to an hour, even when it was not that busy. Restaurant service often seems unorganized with either too much attention (by various waiters) or hardly any. Desert was never offered so if you like desert, remember to ask.

The room was ok. The pool was big enough, but there are too few sun loungers. The drinks on the poolside were well made and good! Good for a short time stay.

The service at the breakfast! We ordered something from the egg station and asked four times after our order, as it took a very long time. Eventually it came, but it was too late, as we had to leave. The check-in procedure was not smooth and think our taxi reservation was "lost" for a while. Towel rack felt down in the bathroom. Bathroom was small.

It is a good hotel. Well managed, with excellent staff and brilliant food. The view from my room is nothing spectacular (tall buildings and road construction). All in all, it was a nice cozy experience.

Could not go out for walks at night. Area said to be unsafe.

The good hospitality of the staff, especially at the reception! Very professional.

Overall satisfied with excellent service. Should have Asian Cuisine Restaurants as well which is very popular among business travelers

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are really friendly and help. Great rooms, great restaurants and facilities. Loved the pool and the fitness centre. Highly recommend.

Safety and security are very high in the hotel because of the security men and cameras deployed on the site, both internally and externally. All employees understand the guests and help them in various ways. They are kind in dealing and their style is elegant.

The Wi-Fi needs to be strengthened throughout the hotel, especially at the main entrance

Some of the extras were ludicrously priced. Taxi booking from the hotel and movie Chanel’s pricing was out of line. ( More expensive than 5 star hotels in New York.) This is a five star hotel in the 3rd world.

I recommend Serena Hotel for business meetings, where you can have productive conversations over a wonderful lunch or dinner. You can also stay in a safe and comfortable environment and exploring Nairobi and its surrounding areas – there is plenty to see! I recommend visiting the National Museum, the National Gallery, and some small private galleries.
