We were happy with the room and the view, but not the breakfast at all.

We ate supper and breakfast in the restaurant, and both were definitely not up to standards that the hotel is striving for. The meals were definitely not up to par, and one of us ordered soup before his meal, it didn't arrive until after were done our meal, and only because he mentioned to the waitress that he had not received the soup, and then the waitress didn't listen to him, she went into the kitchen and got the warm soup, which he received as he did not want to make a fuss.

Large room, well appointed. Quiet location, lovely grounds.

Odd breakfast. We saw the usual cold buffet breakfast and helped ourselves only to find that 1/2 way through we were offered a hot breakfast of eggs and sausage plus a staff member was wandering about offering croissants. If we had known there was a hot breakfast, we would not have taken the cold one with all its attendant plastic debris. Nowhere had we seen any indication that there would be a hot breakfast included. Why not scrap the cold one other than fruit and coffee and just offer the hot breakfast? They could really cut down on the plastic garbage. As well, the waffle we took could only be described as stodgy. One bite was enough to put it aside.

I stay here for a few days every year and the resort had really been taking a downturn, but I feel like something has once again changed and they are really striving to do better. The rooms were clean, and the ocean views are spectacular! The pool was open for the first time that I can remember, and it was clean and warm. The young girl at the front desk was very helpful and positive. The surrounding gardens are absolutely beautiful.

No air conditioning. The bathrooms are very small. The breakfast could have been better.

- location - sea view room - breakfast buffet (all you need for a little breakfast: bagels, waffles, cereal, fruits, croissants, scrambled eggs, sausages, coffee, juice...) - pub food was good (big portions), service was ok - lots of parking spots

- carpenter ants on the balcony (luckily they didn't enter the room) - when asked upon check in to put a second credit card down for the payment of the second room, they said it was no problem. However, the original credit card was then charged for both rooms

It's an older hotel/lodge with a lot of charisma which, in its early years, was visited by many celebrities, including Bob Hope. We had an excellent room on the second floor of the Redondo Building, which overlooked the bay in front of us. The view was fantastic, and we were able to see a lighted cruise ship, headed for Alaska, pass bye.

The restaurant service was excellent, but the food was bland. I had seafood chowder, which had very little seafood and required a lot of salt to make it palatable. Others in our family had similar complaints.

The room was water front, watched cruise ships float by, salmon jumping. Pool was fun, lots of extra games like pickle ball or lawn games if you ask. Free continental breakfast and the staff is super friendly. The grounds were beautiful and quiet.

Our room was dusty and the door didn’t latch when you closed it. (We thought it was closed when we left and came back and the door was open) it kept opening while we were in the room, luckily we could bolt the door from the inside to keep it shut.

Fabulous room overlooking the water with a balcony, large size room with 2 comfortable double beds, small fridge in room. Fantastic sunrise from our room. Hotel advised us before we arrived that a large party had booked so it might be noisy, moved us from the main hotel to one of the lodges, complementary breakfast included. Great outside pool open until10pm. Booked a whale watching tour from the onsite tour operator, where lucky enough to see 4 different humpback whales.

Beautiful location, old school architecture, rustic but still elegant, room was spatious and bed was awesome, employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, no charge breakfast was great with a two eagle fly-by. Enjoyed the pub. Wish we stayed longer.

Room could have had a few drawers for clothes and not enough electrical plug-ins at night tables, could use some kind of power bar or charging station, bathroom a bit small.

Excellent breakfast. Fantastic location. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed watching the whales, otters, geese and seagulls whilst having breakfast. Very special

Unfortunately due to our dates of travel couldn’t eat dinner in the dining room only in the bar which is understandable. Food in the bar was fine especially as we could sea the whales, cruise ships and geese as the sun set

Nice waterfront location. Friendly and helpful staff. The room is big and comfortable, but the decor is too retro. The breakfast is standard. The swimming pool is quite small.

Wish they have some free water sports equipment such as paddle board, etc., or an area for some lawn games.
