As a couple with a 5 year old we found Auberge La Veranda the perfect place to stay during our mini break to Luxembourg. We arrived a good few hours before the usual check-in time as our flight was early but the staff were very helpful and facilitated an early check in which allowed us to take a nap/shower before heading in to the city centre to explore...We had to wait an hour or so before the room and was ready so we ate in the restaurant attached to the accommodation which was lovely. The room was nice with a sliding door into an extra room with bunk beds for our child. The beds were very comfy and there was lots of storage space and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom /shower facilities good too. The accommodation was a few minutes walk from many bus stops and from the tram which brought us in to the city centre in approx 10/15 mins. Breakfast was top quality with lots to choose from. We let the accommodation know that my husband requires gluten free and there was lots of gluten free bread/cakes waiting for him.

Very comfortable room with a kettle, tea & coffee & drinking chocolate. Excellent breakfast included, terrific Italian restaurant downstairs. Lovely staff. Bus stop nearby & all public transport in Luxembourg is free so a bonus.

Very late check-in at 5.30pm. No baggage drop-off option either was a big problem for me as I was on foot & it never crossed my mind to check until it was too late. A bakery/coffee shop directly opposite meant I had somewhere to sit while I waited & it had a toilet so a life-saver. The reasons given were fair enough I suppose & wouldn't be a problem if you have a car. This was the only negative in an otherwise great stay.

Cosy, quiet room with great amenities including a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities & a TV. Restaurant downstairs had a great selection of Italian foods of great quality. Seems like a small local hotel and I was made to feel extremely welcomed and safe by the staff despite some language barriers. Breakfast was included. Would stay again!

Check in was very late in the day, 17:30! I arrived in Luxembourg at 11am which meant I had to carry my luggage around on a very hot day with nowhere to freshen up. Would’ve been nice to have been able to drop my luggage before check in. Location was not central, this was no real problem to me because Luxembourg is a small-ish city.

The family bnb feeling, the accommodation is above the restaurant and you have a back door access to the restaurant. The room is clean, everything is good. They even do daily room service if you need. Close to public transport, very easy to get to town especially transport is free in Lux

Some lights in the room didn’t work, and they close at 1500, reopens at dinner time. If it wasn’t because one of us arrived early to check in, I don’t know what will happen. But I suppose they communicate with you to check what time you arrive and would make sure you get the key?

Room was decent size.. Not very far from the bus stop considering free travel.. :) Clean room. Quite room. Good for family. Staff was friendly and helping nature. All good.

Breakfast was OK.. Considering not many guest in the hotel this can be justified by the hotel. But we could have had worm eggs at least. Otherwise good. They were cold. Bedroom, we received twin bed.. There was no lift. So, if you absolutely need this then think. We do not have any issue, so fine with us.

I have stayed a few times this year at this hotel and I must say I have always been pleasantly impressed by the quality offered for the price. It is a small hotel with a restaurant located very close to city center. The staff and especially the owner are very nice, always smiling and ready to help. Very easy to check in and out with public parking just in front of the hotel. The rooms are very spacious and everything is clean and well maintained. The breakfast is simple but of good quality and the coffee is amazing. I will certainly come back.

Very quiet and comfortable. The family room has a great setup - a king bed equivalent (2 twins pushed together) for the parents and a sliding door to a separate room with bunks for the kids. We enjoyed a nearby park after having a delicious pizza dinner at the restaurant in this hotel. The neighborhood felt very safe. The breakfast was also very nice, with a cappuccino for the adults and specially made hot chocolates for our kids.

The twin bed was comfortable, and the blankets kept me warm since the heater wasn't heating.

It stated there was laundry service in the app, but when I checked in, the older person who checked me in said no, there wasn't. I should have double checked the room key for the back door before I went out for the day because of course when I came back at 4 pm it didn't work and the front desk doesn't do check in until after 1730. So I sat in the rain for the older person who checked me in to show up.

Easy to find even in a torrential rain storm. Very clean and a nice Italian restaurant.

Bit away from the main area but that is our fault for not researching the area. Did not appreciate having to sit in the car for 2.5 - 3 hours waiting for the hotel to open its doors especially as we sent a message before our arrival saying we would be early, which was acknowledged. The owner was lovely and friendly. The guy who checked us in however was rude, aloof and abrupt. Did certainly not feel welcomed.

Old vintage building but newly renovated. Very comfortable. Just several minutes bus ride to Luxembourg train station. Public transport in Luxembourg is free! Breakfast is good. Very comfortable stay. Good value for money.

Just one point: Check-in time is: 530pm. If you arrive early, you need to store your luggage in Central station €5 per item. Other than that, all good.
