The building is very old -over 200 years old- so you can't expect a modern lobby or breakfast area. Breakfast is served in another shop about 500-600 meters away. The staff is smiling, very polite and very helpful. They will give you a paper with instructions for everything. They will also help you with the points of interest you should see. As soon as you go up in the small elevator and enter the room, you will be in a good mood! Very well-made room with fine taste. Its cleanliness is really excellent and the daily care and refreshment impressed us. Every day it was like we were coming in for the first time. Made bed, clean towels, even replenishment of coffee and sugar, etc. On the first day, we had a problem with the water supply. After our message, it was solved in 30 minutes and we were constantly informed! There is nothing more important than immediately resolving the problems! Would we stay at this small hotel again? Definitely!

The hotel needs a sign to make it easier to find, as it shares the entrance with a tavern. About 20 meters away is a bar that starts playing music every afternoon, very loudly. In the evenings it also has live music until at least 11 and then it continues with music, so loud that it's like having a speaker in the room. This can go on until 4 in the morning

We stayed for three nights in Valetta and I must say the hotel was way better than what we expected. The location is ideal and the staff is very kind and friendly. The rooms were clean, the housekeepers would come every day to bring fresh towels if needed, put new coffee capsules and clean cups. Also, big plus was the breakfast which was served at a nearby restaurant and you could fill you plate from the buffet as many times as you wished and additionally you could order more from the a la carte menu, such as eggs on toast, eggs Benedict etc. Higly recommended!

I recently stayed at a room in this hotel and overall, it was a very satisfying experience. The location was simply perfect – close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and public transport options, making it incredibly easy to explore the island. Whether it was a quick walk to the local shops or a short ride to the historical sites, everything was conveniently accessible. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and had all the basic amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. While it wasn’t luxurious, it met expectations and provided a cozy base for my trip. The staff was friendly and responsive, which added to the positive experience. If you’re looking for an accommodation that combines convenience and comfort without breaking the bank, this is a great choice. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Malta!

Loved: The location. Right in the middle of Valletta. The size of the room. Very comfortable, huge, bed. General amenities - fridge, coffeemaker, bathrobes, etc. The price - very reasonable!

Didn't love: No windows. Either open the French doors and risk safety or privacy, or stay in the dark. Shower could be cleaner. The sink was weird and splashy.

The room was a good size, with air conditioning and a nice sized private bathroom including heated towel rail. We had wardrobe space, space on the floor for a suitcase and still enough room to walk around, a chair and large desk area for getting ready / putting things. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, nespresso machine, phone, towels, safe, fridge, slippers, dressing gowns, toiletries in the bathroom, spare toilet paper and free bottled water in the room. We asked for a hairdryer at reception and they were able to provide one. Bed was comfortable and despite being off the main streets and above a restaurant it wasn't noisy at all. On the 4th floor, we accessed the room from a small balcony / walkway and had a door with window allowing light and fresh air. Felt secure and safe. There is a small lift inside which was ideal as we were on the 4th floor. Staff were friendly and helpful when checking in. Breakfast was good, a buffet with the option of some cooked dishes - this is offsite, about 5 - 7 minute walk away from the hotel. I would recommend to friends, good value for money and perfect location for eating out or walking around Valletta. Only 10 minutes from Valletta Bus Terminal, and the Fast Ferry to Gozo.

The hotel reception wasn't always manned - which is stated when booking - and so when checking out we just had to leave the key on the desk which didn't feel overly secure. No room for luggage storage there, but we were able to store it for free at their sister hotel which is just a 5 minute walk away. Difficult to find with Apple maps - as address didn't match up with location - however google maps was much better and led us to the correct place.

Location was great. Easy walking distance to many attractions. Very busy and interesting street at the entrance. Abundance of food choices around...including a supermarket and food court a half block away. Room was adequate for our needs and communication via whatsapp, with very courteous staff helped tremendously. Our check in was in the afternoon, and there was an area to leave our bags, which helped. Wi fi, room safe all worked well.

Nothing really. Maybe, a short walk (about 5 mins) to the breakfast location took getting used to. The location was on a pedestrian only street so it was initially a little difficult to find...and upon check out, a little inconvenient to lug our luggage to the adjacent street for a taxi. There was no one at reception when we arrived, so it was uncomfortable leaving our bags, though assured by some workman and restaurant staff (that shared the main building entrance) that it was safe.

I really liked the hospitality of the staff members. They were very responsive on text and quickly accommodated to my needs with anything. For instance, on the day of my check out, I fell really sick and found it difficult to leave before 10 am. And they were very understanding and open to extending my check-out time by one hour to 11 am, which I thought was very sweet!

I was mostly satisfied with everything that I have nothing to complain during this stay.

Breakfast was not in the hotel itself but in the restaurant opposite. The staff there were kindness itself and the buffet was extensive, both English and continental and very well prepared. The restaurant serves very good meals in the evening. Our room was inward facing but had abundant natural light. The receptionist was so helpful.

The lift was out of action for our stay and our room was on the third floor. To compensate for this, the hotel gave us a free taxi ride either from the airport or to the airport. We took the latter as our flight was at 06h15 and there were no busses that we could take to get us there on time. We considered that the cost of the taxi was worth the climbing of the stairs. Another small point to note is that house numbering starts on one side and goes down the hill and continues up the hill on the other side. Number 191 is reasonably close to the top.

The room was modern and spacious. There was a cleaning service each day, which was nice. Bed is super comfy. The location is perfect, just in the very center of the downtown. The elevator was not working, so I was offered a free ride from the airport, which was also great.

The room did not have windows, which was quite problematic. Basically the door serves as a window. Hardly any daylight, the door is looking into the patio where the restaurant's kitchen is. The noise was coming from the restaurant each night, so it was difficult for me to fall asleep. Continental breakfast was really basic. Certain spots in the shower do need proper cleaning.

Not a cupboard area, had to live out the suitcase. The breakfast was ridiculous, continental breakfast, not told when we booked it would be continental didn't even know what that was. Should not have even been an option. Treated like school children where we were sat down and got the bare minimum. We weren't even allowed cereal or ham/cheese on our bread!! Worst service ever. The guy had the cheek to say we can upgrade by 8 euros per person. Went to other breakfast places where we could have eggs, beans etc for a good price. Only 6 euro 50 cents.
