Our whole experience at Tano’s was first class. On request Noemi arranged transport from the airport for us. On our arrival Dennis was at reception, he was welcoming and engaging. A very good start to our visit! Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, very clean, enjoyed the traditional design and colours. Breakfast was excellent with both European and North American breakfast foods offered in a buffet style - fruits, sliced cheese & meats, croissants, raisin brand cereal, eggs, yoghurt, and more. Breakfast on the rooftop patio, views of the harbour. The host for the day also prepared the buffet, greeted guests and served cappuccino and other specialty coffees. An historical building with the requisite staircases if you might enjoy the exercise but also has a lift! Super location, laundromat across the street but more importantly steps away from the heart of Valletta while seemingly not being there! Particularly pleased with the cheerfulness of the staff and their willingness to be helpful. Special acknowledgment to Dennis for his graciousness and humour throughout our week long stay.

Situated right in the heart of everything, this hotel provided everything we needed. A 10 minute leisurely walk from the ferry port and a 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants, Triton Fountain and the Saluting Battery for the cannon fire at noon. The owner was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served overlooking Valletta harbour. We took the opportunity to book the jacuzzi on the top floor and were glad we did as we witnessed two cruise liners edging their way out of the harbour to open sea. Leaving the property after our 2 night stay was seamless with the bus station only 10 minutes away on foot.

We liked everything.

Its very central, everything to visit is only few minutes away. (Just be aware that because the place is central, during summer, you will hear the parties, people, church bells and fireworks day and night.) The place Is clean, spacious, staff is really nice and breakfast options although quite limited, is very good quality. Croissants with pistacchio the best!! Also the capuccino! They let us check out late for an extra charge and that was wonderful for us. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and the bath is so big. We loved it.

I dont think its fair to advertise the jacuzzi with a night picture, because the latest hour you can use the jacuzzi is 7 o'clock, when its still hot outside and day light. The breakfast is wonderful but if you come after 9am, there isnt much left and you have to wait 15 min for other things to be replenished, like juice, milk, eggs, croissants, but if you ask the staff, they provide it to you on demand.

Beautiful room, brilliant breakfasts - fresh delicious pistachio, chocolate or plain croissants and cake ( one happy child and mum) plus much more savoury choice. The room was beautiful with high ceilings, an enormous bed and a huge bathroom. We had an extra bed in ours but there was still room for an enormous sofa. The staff were lovely, especially Grace who was very welcoming and gave us answers to everything we needed. It was truly a lovely stay. Lots of history to the building and stone spiral staircase to breakfast too. Loft up to all floors.apart from roof. The jacuzzi on the roof was bookable for free for a one hour slot and was superb and a great place to see the harbour. (Photo taken from breakfast room level) Gorgeous stay in all.

Nothing much. If you are a light sleeper staying on a Saturday night in the summer then the street close by was a little noisy, so perhaps ask for a back room if they have one.

Amazing location, a few minutes from the upper and.lower gardens and less.than 10 minutes from the buses to take you to the North of the Island. In the other direction it was 5 minutes to places to eat, ice cream and again less than 10 minutes to the food court and supermarket. Rooms were big enough and we had 3 in the room. It was clean, breakfast was lovely and the terrace was a lovely way to start the day. An hour's use of the jacuzzi each day was a really nice thing to do either to begin or finish your day. Staff were helpful and friendly

Being fussy the pillow was really hard and only 1 each, but we could have asked for more.

The location is very convenient as it is a couple of blocks away from the Barraka Gardens as well as the ferry point from Valletta to 3 Cities and to Gozo (fastferry). It's also ideal if you like Valletta's nightlife. The hotel itself is an old townhouse, partially restored to fit the hotel purpose but still maintaining some of its original character. Room is spacious and hot running water available at all times. Jacuzzi area provides also great scenery.

Breakfast could offer slightly more variety. Also the the staff weren't as equipped to offer advise (either due to knowledge or use of English language), they would redirect you to the tourist office in Valletta. Rooms could be more thoroughly cleaned but met the standards.

Hotel has plenty of character and the location really allows you to soak up the atmosphere of central Valletta particularly in the evening. The breakfast selection is reasonable and takes place on the terrace on the roof with views across the harbour which makes it a real treat. Staff are very friendly and helpful and I would also add that the bed mattress is one of the best I have ever slept on!

Reception closes at 7pm which makes late check-in a bit messy. Be aware that traffic snarl-ups are common in the narrow one-way lanes of central Valletta so allow plenty of time for that taxi back to the airport.

Noisy room - even with windows and blinds closed it was a little noisy, but as it was warm, we wanted some air through, which made it very noisy for a period of the night and then again early morning. Towels - 2 hand towels only were provided to begin with - i.e. no bath towels / sheets. No one was in reception to ask for on day 1. So after breakfast the next day, we asked for these. When we returned to our room in the evening, no towels had been delivered AND one hand towel had been taken away; no bath sheets or any towels delivered … until ‘emergency’ contact made, in the absence of a manned reception desk. No spare toilet rolls until asked for. No milk for drinks Mug too big for Nespresso coffee machine (so didn't fit properly and couldn't use)

Everything . location is brilliant in the centre surrounded by all the important restaurants, bars, cafes and sites . We had fabulous view from the balcony of our room and better still from the rooftop breakfast restaurant with my perfect breakfast. Fresh orange juice on request . delicious croissants . other pastries , great local ham, eggs and really good coffee . And a wonderful view over the harbour down below . 10 minutes walk to the ferry to the 3 cities or to a bus to Rabat. All the staff were smiling and helpful. The boss booked us a taxi to the airport and when I left my all important bag in the boot he called the taxi and I got it back in time to catch my flight. everything made easy for you.

Great breakfast- fab central location. Second time we stayed here and it was even better than the first- comfortable beds and usb sockets by the beds made this a very amenable stay. Rooftop area with hot tub bookable for free private sessions and has amazing views - really made the holiday for me. Special mention to Grace on reception who really went out of her way to make our stay perfect and allowed us to leave our luggage after check out until we went to the airport later that day.
