Beautiful location (across the street street from another hotel and the marina/beach! Nicely furnished and appointed rooms, very nice and helpful staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and restaurant chiefs.) Wonderful pool and lounge area. The LaMarina (George) restaurant has great food. There are also some local/local eating locations within two to five blocks (Carranza, Drunken Sailor, El Burro). There are also two smaller markets within 3-5 blocks (the chain 0XX0 and another small market (will good beer prices, local pasteries, and good selection of food and sundries on the shelves)...it has the blue TECATE sign (beer) on the front of it.) Bought 6 packes of Tecate for 86 pesos (remember about 17 pesos to a USD)

It would be nice if the property also had a Jacuzzi, but the LA Marinia has an arrangement with the Hotel Ganzo (across the street) for a nominal fee to use their infinity pool, infiniti jacuzzi, (which have a swim up bar) and you are given a 10-15% discount on the food and bar items up in the pool area.

The restaurant is open air, the food is great, the staff is really nice. They do move at Mexican time, so pretty slow. The location is across from the public beach, and walking distance to very good local places to eat and reasonable bodega's.

No coffee in the room. Complimentary coffee from the restaurant but no decaf. Room door is frosted glass so your room never gets dark. Some folks might not like the local nightly parties that can be heard, along with the occasional loud barking from the pack of roaming dogs (all friendly). Not much in the way of english speaking cable channels and no channel guide.

Breakfast was delicious and complimentary coffee was much appreciated! Also liked how we had a smart TV and AC was a lifesaver during the July heat. The team was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs.

The guest wifi wasn't working during our stay and I wish we had a fridge to keep our water cold. These are just nice-to-haves though. It's not far from downtown, but just far enough to where you would probably not want to take multiple trips back and forth between the hotel and downtown.

George's restaurant is fantastic - wonderful amenity to have at the hotel. Restaurant staff were super accommodating. The hotel staff are possibly THE BEST people that I've ever encountered while traveling. I hope that the hotel owners are aware of how amazing their admin and support staff are.

La Marina Inn is a 5-10 minute uber from San Jose Del Cabo. There is no real safe way to walk with kids so you have to rely on uber's or VERY expensive taxis. With a family of 5, it almost always meant that we needed two uber's to get places. However, staying away from the noise and crowds has HUGE advantages and there are cafe's and food stands right around the corner, including a pharmacy and clinic right by the marina which is really useful with kids! Hotel staff were excellent with helping us book taxis when we needed them. We would return to this hotel without thinking twice. Lovely pool and sitting area. Have I mentioned the front of house staff and how fantastic they are in terms of communication and attention!

La Marina is an intimate and lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious, spotless and complete with fan & a/c. Location is good with beaches in walking distance (one 5 mins walk, the other 30 mins walk). Shops and restaurants nearby though the restaurant on site is excellent as well. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are seeking somewhere to stay outside of the resort confinement.

We enjoyed the location for a couple of nights, across from the marina and the public beach for walking. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. The pool is small but enjoyable. The outdoor restaurant atmosphere and food were excellent!

Within walking distance to small stores, restaurants but to get to town and shopping required a car or taxi.

noise levels from street, from pool deck partiers, and room above make for a horrible night's sleep. If on the ground floor, it sounds like living under a bowling alley with someone above. Needs modern amenities and updating like USB ports, mini fridge, microwave, etc.

Restaurant in the courtyard is very nice. Lovely small pool. This is a 2 story property, very clean, and nicely designed. Rooms and beds are super comfortable. Live music 3 days / week. Free coffee in the morning starting 6:30am.

No cups or ice bucket in the room. A bit noisy loud due to the design of the property, - in other words, noise travels easily across the courtyard. Things can get pricey this close to the marina.

our room (number 109) was billed as a “pool view” but was in a dim corridor with no view and was next to the employee break room (#108) which was occasionally noisy (especially in the morning when staff arrived to work but we were hoping to still sleep). I look forward to staying here again, but NEVER in Room 109.

How friendly and how accommodating they were with my scheduled events while there.

What I didn’t like was booking.com who handles their reservations but I let the owners, not just management know that, long before my payment due date I requested to shorten my stay by two days, booking.com acts like they represent you but they don’t, with no response for awhile on this you said you would reach out to Marina Inn to change it, you didn’t and then at billing deadline you billed me in full, Marina Inn made it clear to me that you never forwarded my request, I paid for two extra days when I had already checked out, very disappointed in booking.com and will try to avoid reservations though booking.com in my future stays anywhere.
