A great magical paradise place in Tulum that makes you feel at home. There was great enviroment and artsy vibes with beautiful spaces. Very comfy and clean bedrooms, amazing breakfast and coffee. Also very well located just around the corner of everything :bars, restaurants and supermarkets! Other interesting activities happening like Temazcal and some live jazz music on my stay during sunday afternoon!

It’s like a little atmospheric oasis in Tulum, you are welcomed into a home like a family member and it’s very cosy and aesthetically pleasing in every way. They have perfect shower, wifi, pool, kitchen, community space, quiet corners, lots of greenery. Everything is very clean, comfortable, and beautiful! After long months of traveling it was a perfect place to come down from it and I felt so taken care of. I got much more than I would have expected. I’m usually also very kind with reviews but this time it exceeded so many times and if I could, I would give more than 10. Thank you for creating this home for us, Botanica family!

The tranquility and friendliness of this place is like no other! It's a little oasis in Tulum that you can call home. I enjoy every minute of my stay here, would love to go back! The team who runs it is amazing, they served great coffee and breakfast, always helpful and accommodating. They offer free bike and fresh water. The public areas are very comfortable, the pool is nice, so you can easily spend a morning/afternoon here. The location is a block away from the main street and you can reach everything easily.

What to say that wasn't said already in the other reviews. I had to leave otherwise I would have been stranded here forever. As soon as I arrived I felt like I was at some (cool) friend's place. Amazing breakfast. Free bikes. Great kitchen (I cooked two days in a row and shared with some members of the staff and some customers). Soft toilet paper. Free use of washing machine. Very clean common spaces. Respectful customers. They kinda ruined the rest of my trip. Every other place will feel sh***y in comparison to Botanica!

I was in a shared room and it was not that big, but basically you will not spend there more than the sleeping time

I couldn’t have a better word to say about the staff, they were very friendly and super helpful - could not have been accommodating enough! The breakfast was really delicious and the place had a nice chill atmosphere. If you’re there on a Friday make sure to get the pizza for dinner, was so fresh and delicious!

The only issue we had was that our room had a tree going through the wall, it was on purpose assumably for decoration, but it meant that it was noisy when vehicles passed on the road outside and that bugs could get in. For the private rooms there is no door on the bathroom so can make showering a bit awkward If you’re not staying there as a couple.

Exceptional experience during our stay in Botanica. This is not a hotel, this is rather your best friend's house. The staff was truly amazing, super helpful, they just did everything to make your stay very pleasant. Breakfast served in 3 different options, each of them very healthy and tasty. Fresh juices and great coffee! And the room was super modern with all the necessary equipment. The hotel has very impressive garden with a pool. Close to the hotel you will find supermarket and oxxo store. Also, collectivo stops nearby. Thank you Fernando and All The Staff for making our stay at your place so great!!! Miss you already 😉

I was in a little bit of shock when I arrived in Tulum. I was expecting it to be very different than what it really was in my experience. But this hostel only made my stay in Tulum to be pleasant. The reason I returned to Tulum during my travels was Botånica. The warmth of the hosts, the atmosphere, the music, the interior… everything here is just great. I instantly felt welcomed and as a part of the community. This place seemed to attract my kind of people. Warm, generous, somewhat spiritual, loving and open hearted individuals. No crazy parties or staying up too late. A special thanks to Fernando for making me and everyone else to feel like a part of family. He has a gift of seeing people for who they really are and to serve everyone as a friend, not a customer. If I ever return to Tulum, I will definitely come back to Botånica ❤️

The upper bunk beds are very high, and there is no rail. So if you tend to move a lot while you sleep, it’s not the best option. If you fell from there, it would make serious damage to your health. For me it was fine and I stayed in upper bunk bed for my whole stay and enjoyed it!

The hostel really looks like a Boutique hotel. The garden, terrace, pool are very nice and welcoming. There is a big kitchen guests can use. There is not reception but Alejandra makes sure to be here for your arrival and is always reachable by whatsapp.

The dorms are super small and there are people staying for a long time (weeks/months) hence they think the room is their appartement. It was very messy and not cleaned. Didn't know where to put my stuff.... The showers are full of hygiene products, finished or not. No space to put mine and looked very dirty. A bit far from the center because at the end of the main road. No info about tours and activities to do in Tulum.

I liked the atmosphere here - it is a quiet space to get away from the touristy hustle and bustle of the main strip in Tulum. Really nice pool and pool area for relaxing and cooling off in the heat of the afternoon. Breakfast was very good quality and was served to order, rather than usual buffet hostel breakfast. Everyone is chill and staff are attentive and accommodating. Good kitchen facilities. Free use of bicycles. In the dorm you have personal light & charging point and individual safe and small basket. I did the temazcal, which was an intense and unique experience.

Can’t think of much wrong - could do with some more shelf space in showers/bathrooms and it was a bit hard to find as there is no sign.

Botanica is a magical place. Everyone who stays there or works there are super friendly. Botanica was very communicative, they reached out by message on booking.com and through whatsapp as my arrival date approached. They were very flexible with me in terms of my arrival and check in time. The location is central to the main strip, La Veleta is about a 30min walk, and Tulum beach and beach road is about 15min scooter away. I stayed in a private room, it was a decent size for one or two people. Alejandra met me when I arrived, the air conditioner was on in the room already for my comfort. She provided me with a complimentary kombucha, and a few tips and tricks for my stay, and made herself available by WhatsApp just in case there was anything I needed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Botanica provided shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap gel in the room, along with several towels and a drying ladder. There is tons of communal space for you to chill and relax. The wifi is strong throughout the entire vicinity. The pool is clean and cool, perfect for those hot Tulum days. My stay fell on a Sunday, there was a feast (didn't have anything, I wasn't sure how it worked, and I didn't ask) and a jam session, pure positive and good vibes all around. I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm in Tulum.

On booking.com, botanica's additional information is set to them only accept payment by USD cash on site. Once I arrived, I was informed that was not necessarily the case, and that they preferred payment by card. I let them show these instructions were showing on their page, but to be honest, I think it would've been cleared up prior to my arrival, had I reached out.
