It is a good value for money place, and the staff were very lovely, easy to communicate with.

The noise from the club downstairs is loud and disturbing sleep, even with ear plugs

The hotel is nice, the staff is friendly but you can't expect European standards though. Unlike described on the website they didn't speak English. Check in still worked good. I chose the hotel because of the roof terrace which is really cool when you're traveling alone so you can just spend the evening there looking over the ocean and harbour. Also the hotel is just 15 min walk from the starting point and ticket office from the Hop on Hop off Bus ~12€ which I can really recommend to get around. And in general the hotel is just 5 min from a big marjane supermarket and 1 min from two main streets

I had a room first floor and it sounded like the second floor was jumping on my head the whole night. Didn't hear the city or noise from the street, just the noise from upstairs which was annoying and loud

The hotel is close to the main city port and to the big commercial beach. It is a bit of a walk from the main railway station, but there is a bus that stops nearby,. The hotel obviously has some inbuilt cultural history which is interesting though I am pretty sure the bar downstairs is nothing like it was when frequented by beat poets. There was a pretty interesting crowd there though and I had a good time. If you walk a short distance either uphill or downhill there are shops and restaurants.

No AC, which I knew in advance and was fine with, but also no fan in the room or available. This is only a problem in the height of summer.

The hotel was well located in general (in between the port and the Medina), there was a nightclub nearby and several places to eat. The staff was very nice and helped us with everything. The best of the place was the view, right close to our bedroom there was a lovely terrace with a great view of the marina.

It was very difficult to find the place at first, since it was in a small alley close to a small street, and it was too dark during the night. The bathroom was in the bedroom, but the wc was in a separated room. The window to the terrace didn´t seem really secure, but we didn´t fear anything would happen to our belongings.

I can't really find any fault with this stay, for the price, bar one thing - noise and nighttime disturbance!

From 23:00 until the early hours, I was continually woken up by noise and light: The light in the hallway flooding into my room from the window just above the door (the light button was pushed about three times); the person right outside my room on the terrace talking loudly on their mobile at midnight; the regular slamming of doors that echoed throughout the corridors. Pretty annoying really. If that can all be sorted then it's a nice place to stay, with amazing views!

The room is very spacious, and has everything one might need, including a cute table, lots of closet space, and a huge drawer chest! and the blue touch in the room makes it very soothing. It's also very well exposed to the sun which is great. The personnel was very helpful and sweet, they answered every question I had and were very welcoming. And the view from the roof is breathtaking, to say the least. The location of the hotel is perfect, everything is just a few minutes walk.

We decided to stay in El Muniria purely to experience the spirit of William S. Burroughs and recapture the residue of his iconic stay in this obscure hotel where he wrote "Naked Lunch." The experience felt very surreal and inspiring. Something about the place gives that raw oddball magic one would want to experience staying in such a historic space without it being overly gentrified for profit, which it isn't at all. Let's just say it was a huge vibe.

The hotel is in a great location, it's close to the beach, old town supermarket and, mall. The room has a nice view of the sea and is well ventilated thanks to two windows which keeps it cool at night. The shower has hot water. The lady at the reception is sweet.

The room wasn't super clean, there was hair on the floor, and the vanity table was a bit dusty.

The people on reception are really helpful. We had an issue with the room that we selected but they sorted it right away. The room is very nice with a great view out onto the terrace and the marina beyond. The bathroom is shared but this is no problem as it was right next to the room. The location is amazing, very quiet and yet only a few minutes away from all the bustle on the Boulevard.

For the price you pay nothing really. it is exceptional.

The history of it, location and clean

The room just needs a fan - just a pedestal one would be fine. I found out when I was leaving in the morning the outside door was locked and could only be opened with a key which wasn’t there. This is a fire risk. The key should be left in the lock for easy escape.
