Hotel was well located, clean, staff were great, food was fine. We had a great view out to the port and beyond from our spacious room.

There was a lot of noise from the poolside and constant loud music, until 3am. To be fair, when we mentioned it to staff, they did ask the revellers to reduce the volume and turn the music down , but we had interrupted sleep every evening. I think it was the location of our room . Everything else about the room and hotel was great.

The location was great, near the ferry to Spain and the breakfast was very good. Check in was very smooth and we were able to get in a bit early after a long morning train ride.

Beware of the front desk staff, especially one of the bell boys. When you ask him how much a taxi is to certain places he quotes almost 3 times the amount it should be and he then goes to get you a taxi. Don't ask him and just step out in the street and negotiate your own taxi. Left a real bad taste in our mouth.

A cute little hotel in a great location, just on the outside edge of the medina. Very walkable and also easy to access with a car. The hotel was nicely decorated, the staff were pleasant. The room: spacious and clean, had a nice little juliet balcony to watch the hustle and bustle of the city, and was quiet and dark at night, which is important to us. Discounted parking in a private garage across the street was convenient and easy to access. We would definitely return.

We really loved this hotel. It has so much character and charm. It has a great faded grandeur vibe (in a positive sense) with excellent facilities and the room was very spacious and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. The location was very good. Short walk to the beach/promenade/port and Kasbah. 30-50 dirhams in a taxi to/from the train station and the Medina in the other direction. We heard while on the City Tour bus that the hotel was a favourite haunt for the likes of Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac (although the same commentary also said Gaudi drew the first tentative plans of Sagrada Famila while staying there and yet the hotel's own website says it opened just the 24 years after he died!) Still, the place is full of history and a very interesting and cool place to stay. Unfortunately it was too cold to go in the pool while we were there (end of Feb) but it looked very nice. Really glad we chose this place, and would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed pretty much everything about this hotel. The people at the reception desk, bar, and restaurant and the housekeeping staff were all helpful, sweet, and laid-back. The view over the funky pool area (where it was too chilly to lounge in December) toward the bay and new marina was gorgeous, although my room (by choice) was on the "happening" Boulevard Pasteur side. It was a decision that I was glad about when Morocco first beat Spain and then Portugal during my stay, giving me a catbird seat above the ecstatic, celebrating crowds. Yallah les Lions de l'Atlas! Really a fun time to be in Morocco. The St James Bar was a good spot to watch the matches -- although, as in almost every bar in the country, way too smoky.... It was necessary for me to have easy access to the medina, the areas around the Spanish Cathedral and the French Institute, and Casabarata, and all of them were reachable by foot (or, of course, by taxi). The Hotel Muniria and TangerInn were just around the corner, the Librairie les Colonnes across the street. This is a hotel that dates from 1950, thus during the city's international zone era, and it has a wonderful retro vibe.

I will definitely stay here again during my next trip to Tangier. On my fairly numerous visits to the city over the decades, I've always stayed at different places. The Rembrandt is now my favorite, and I'm getting too old to try out any new ones!

One of the most impressive hotels! Very clean and spotless everywhere - room, building, restaurant, lounge. It has everything you need right there, onsite. Classy restaurant. The design is fantastic, it looks like a wonderful luxury museum inside. The lounge at the reception is just gorgeous and so well-maintained. The reception staff is very polite and helpful. There is a lot of attention to details. Great price per value. Super close to great places to eat and the beach. We'll definitely go back there every time we're in the city. Great view from the balcony too. The rooms with a sea view actually offer a generous beautiful sea view, not just a little corner like other hotels.

Breakfast was nice with a good variety of food and nice seating space. The rooms were spacious, bright and well furnished, sofa chair- we travelled with our son who had his own room but hung out with us during the day.

Channels not working on the TV. Waiting time at check in time, supposed to check in at 1:30, we arrived later to check in at 2:45 but then only one room was ready for us and that we would have to wait another hour. They then had to allocate two different rooms for us.

We loved the location and the staff were very nice. They answered questions and helped with taxis. Breakfast had a wonderful variety. I loved that the bottom of the tub was not tile. :-)

The bed had a hard spot, but wasn’t horrible. We like firm beds and they suited us. Also we would have liked to watch a movie or something on the TV, but it wasn’t a smart TV to get a streaming service.

The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, there was lots of variety and the hotel was above my expectation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a really great hotel which I would thoroughly recommend. The pool is great and overlooks the sea and the harbour. We will definately be returning again this summer. Thank you Rembrandt Hotel.

Especially loved the pool, the little balcony and the view out across the bay of Tangier. This hotel was built in the early 1950s & has a gentile and friendly atmosphere with touches of erstwhile glamour, like the lovely lift. I felt very comfortable there.

The Friday night party around the pool is a fun and noisy affair - and goes on until 4 am!
