The photos really don’t do this property justice. The family room was just perfect. We were expecting to all be in 1 room, but the second double bed is on a mezzanine, so gives that little bit of privacy for each room. The roof terrace was gorgeous. A little piece of calm and relaxation among the roof tops of Amsterdam. We didn’t have great whether during our stay but it would have been perfect for alfresco dining and drinks with nice weather. Blaine was a fantastic host, who has attention to detail…from the fresh crisp bedding, to the fluffy towels and the coffee machine for that morning coffee. I would highly recommend the breakfast…a better deal than any local cafe and great value for money. We left full and content having loved a few days in Amsterdam. Thank you!!

The owner was very nice and helpful. Plus, he had a cute dog. The accommodation was in a great location, with great access to the centre (about 20 minutes by direct tram). Even though there was a shared bathroom and toilet, it was clean everywhere and there was no problem. I noticed that there are a lot of complaints about the straight stairs, but after walking the city streets it is clear that this is just how houses in Amsterdam are built, you have to take it into account.

The only thing I would rate negatively would be the owner's not-so-good communication about the planned party.I don't mind that he invited people to his birthday party, that's perfectly fine, I just would have appreciated it if he had given us more notice than an hour or so before. We would have planned the day differently. We had originally planned to go to the patio in the early evening, but that was no longer possible. Later on, the group moved downstairs, which again was awkward because of the shared bathroom and toilet. If we had known about the party earlier, we would have stayed out longer. So it's more just... better communication next time?

I liked the slightly out of the centre location and the family room set-up. It was a homely place, but more than that as your man, Blaine clearly knows a bit about hospitality. The breakfasts were very good.

We didn’t mind, but if you really don’t like dogs, even really cute ones, it might not be for you, as it’s home to a super friendly young one. Ditto, if you can’t cope with a few flights of stairs you might struggle.

Awesome Apartment. The highlight was the impressive roof terrace. We spontaneously quit our plans to go to a bar and stayed instead on the beautiful terrace. The second highlight was the host! He was friendly and curteous all the time and made whishes come true even before mentioned. Really great!

The location was nice. Quiet but easy to get to a station to get into the city. Blaine is an exceptional host. He was friendly and accommodating. He had great recommendations for our visit and was available to answer any questions. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Definitely get the breakfast Blaine makes! It is delicious and a great value. He would also sit and talk with us during breakfast. We were also lucky and able to enjoy and pizza dinner he made for guests. Great price for amazing food.

Blaine was an excellent host, knowing what to do to satisfy my stay. He was hospitable, and treated me as a friend beyond a guest. The room was also clean and cozy, nothing I would complain about, except for maybe that there is no fridge but he offered space in his own. I would like to visit some day again.

A private fridge or more accessibility to the microwave would have been nice. However Blaine was kind enough to offer such services on request.

The bed was simply amazing, super super comfortable and snug. Locality was good, owner was supre helpful and very kind and accomodating.

Everything was great, I didn't have an en-suite, which I thought was going to be an issue but, it turned out not to be an issue. Everything was really lovely, comfortable and convenient.

Before booking I obviously researched the place so I knew what to expect. Location, stairs etc. Tram2 which passes very frequently connects to central Amsterdam - never had problems. In my opinion, the photos on booking.com don't do the place justice. In reality, place is much nicer. Both bedrooms good sized and comfortable. Lovely terrace. Room kept clean.

Great location to stay at, lovely neighbourhood around the corner. The rooms are nice and the bed really comfortable, the terrace is amazing and the room and bathrooms were incredibly clean . Blaine is amazingly friendly and helpful!

A great place with a lovely terrace. Out off city fuss, yet accessible with a tram in 10 minutes. Close to a lovely park, which is great for morning walks and run.
