The hotel has an excellent location - a quiet, peaceful area right on the canal. The tram/bus is 4 minutes on foot and you can take it anywhere you need. If you are coming by car, I recommend to book parking at the stadium. Varied and tasty breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff. In the evening you can enjoy a drink on the terrace with a stunning view. Very good value for money - we will definitely come back here!

I believe there is no need to change towels every day, especially since we didn't leave them on the floor. However, you could wipe the table or vacuum the floor, because it gets dirty after a longer stay. Paper coffee cups in the room.

We liked the hotel in general, the person that did our arrival and departure was very nice and helpful. The room was spotless. We would have like to book a jacuzzi but we were too late and it was fully booked. I would advise the staff to indicate the jacuzzi can be fully booked very fast as we thought it would be more quieter.

The price of breakfast was too expensive . We did not book it as we thought we would prefer to eat in town but it was an option available if needed but I think 19,50 per person is overpriced

Nice hotel with nice amenities (bar and restaurant). Recommend a canal view room - fun to watch the boats and crews.

A little out of the city but easy access via tram. We actually enjoyed coming back and being out of the hustle bustle later in the evening.

Breakfast was great, staff from the reception desk as well. Very clean rooms. Lobby is ver beautiful. Easy to get the tram or bus.

We bought some wine to drink at the hotel. We borrowed glasses from the bar and sat at a table in the restaurant. We really failed to sit in the restaurant to have the wine we took, but we were treated very badly by the waitress, who came from far away, in a LOUD tone of voice, kicking us out of the place, saying that we could not use the restaurant table to have the wine that was bought out. You are right not to let us consume the wine in the restaurant. But the aggressive, rude way we were treated in front of dozens of people is totally unacceptable. It embarrassed us, a lot! We Brazilians are not used to rude service. We were kicked out of the restaurant area. Otherwise, everything was great

Spacious room (we had family room for 4 with bunk bed), comfortable beds. Coffee maker in the room. Location near to metro, tram and bus stops. Some cafes and Albert Heijn shop quite near. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Restaurant serves delicious food (compliments to the chef!), but it’s very pricy. Very convinient online check-in/out. We left at 7 in the morning and just dropped the room keys to special desk for it near the exit.

The welcoming lobby is quite old and tired, holes in sofa and armchairs. Daily cleaners are not very attentive, needed to remind to refill coffee and tissues in the bathroom. There was one lamp bulb in the bathroom, that didn’t work and it was quite dark. There should be drying rack to hang the towels to dry (common issue with hotels). Floors could be cleaner.

The room was clean, we loved the decor and the view from our windows a lot! Wi-Fi was working so fast. The location was good and convenient for going to the city center and the airport. We loved that neighborhood too, it was quiet and peaceful. Definitely we would love to choose Olympic Hotel once we come to Amsterdam again! Thanks!

The second day when we were out, our room was cleaned up. But the staff forgot to fill some new capsule coffee for us. Then the next morning, I called and asked twice to the reception for some capsule coffee, but they didn’t bring to me :(

Everything went well from checkin to checkout: - the room was exactly as advertised, it was clean when we arrived and had all the amenities described - the view from the apartment was nice (towards Zuid and a park nearby) - it is very quiet, there's not much outside noise coming in - restaurant at the ground floor was good and not too expensive (we had dinner once there) - there were enough parking spots available (I was worried about this since you can't reserve them in advance)

The biggest thing would be the pillows, they have some clumps in them and they were uncomfortable at times. Also, the furniture is a bit used.

Very good hotel and we got a very good deal in terms of the price. It's located well outside of the center of town but transportation is so easy in Amsterdam that it didn't bother us. Its' also very close to the airport and since we needed a cab to get there in the middle of the night for us the location was a bonus. Breakfast was amazing, great spread and variety and tasty. We got a "room without a view" but the view was amazing!

We stayed for 2 nights' an in between they didn't clean up our room, which we didn't mind so much but some people really want their room cleaned every day. Also, we had 2 small lights that didn't work and although we reported it at the beginning of the day it was not fixed. The staff was honest enough to say there is a shortage of cleaning and maintenance staff in the hotel (and apparently in all hotels in Amsterdam) and that's probably why we didn't get the service we needed in those areas.

Everything was great, what you see is really what you get from the pictures. Staff was super helpful , friendly and welcoming. Hotel is super near to metro and the tram.

I am quite upset with the housekeeping, they did not clean the coffee table and refill the coffee/creamers/tea every time upon housekeeping, we had to go down every time we need a refill or restock of the coffee/tea. Perhaps management should take note of this and inform the housekeeping staff to make sure the coffee table is always re-stocked and attended to. Otherwise, overall experience is fine.

This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. The room was very comfortable, clean, with a beautiful view on the lake and the city. There were all the necessary facilities, even an iron and ironing desk. The hotel is well-located, the neighborhood is nice, there are some coffee places and restaurants nearby (5 minutes walk). The center of the city is easily reachable by bus, and even late at night we could come back from the center to the hotel by night buses. Also, the price (for 3 people) was lower than other hotels and apartments. Totally recommend this hotel!
