Wonderful location, fantastic view of the canal and street life in the lovely Jordaan neighborhood, very comfortable bed, clean, safe

The other reviews commented on the stairs being difficult and I thought how bad can they be? Well, I have never experienced such steep and shallow steps. It was sort of equivalent to climbing a ladder, so getting luggage up and down was not easy. After a couple days of coming and going, it got a little easier to navigate, and once in the room it was wonderful. But these stairs are the reason I am not giving this property a 10, and would not recommend this room for anyone with mobility issues.

Great location. Nice cafe downstairs. Good Thai restaurant along the street and a chines but very busy on Friday we went. Market in next street to the right on Saturdays, maybe Sundays but we weren’t there that day, get cheese and many other food and clothes etc. Cheaper than other local shops. Good food stalls as well. Area around good with nice bars etc. Recommend this bar over the bridge on the right https://www.facebook.com/CafeDeOranjerie/

Sign could be bigger but found it via stairs on side of the cafe below. Bit noisy from outside although windows looked double glazed, you can hear people outside, however we did sleep well. Need a mat outside shower as floor slippery when coming out. Door mat outside flat for wet shoes would help keep wooden floor dry and clean when it rains. Square pillows a bit soft for me so take a blow up one or ask for firmer one. Nice big windows but you can be seen from outside unless full blinds closed. There is a gap as well. Maybe a nest curtain on one would be good so you can get light into room without being visible.

The location of the apartment and the view from the windows over the bridges and the Gracht are just amazing! In the evenings it became our favourite activity to just sit at the windows and look outside, doing some people-watching. Easy walking-distance from the main station with everything you need just a little walk away from the place itself. We had a wonderful time!

For the price paid I would expected a bit more when it comes to what the equipment of the room itself. We are talking small things here, but it was really annoying that there were absolutely no hooks whatsoever in the bathroom to hang used towels on. Also: Why provide an iron, but no ironing board to use it on? I would have ironed clothes on the beds instead, but since all electric sockets were quite a bit away from the bed, that also was no option.

Great price (for Amsterdam), I think it was the cheapest option for the rating that high and such a central location. I really enjoyed human-less check in and check out. The location is perfect, and we had a very pleasant view

These were the minor things, but nonetheless: - I’d say the bed was rather small, and it felt like it was slightly tilted? - I would have preferred two blankets - There were two towels, which is fine, but zero bath mats or small towels. Since the shower is just behind the curtain right next to the toilet the floor in front of the toilet was always wet after the shower - We couldn’t figure out how the heating works. It kept turning on, even when we were setting it on “off”, and the one time we turned it on to dry our closes it didn’t turn on :)

Amazing location, beautiful views. Could've sat there for hours watching the people of Jordaan below go about their days. Nice modern bathroom. Easy check in / out process.

Only minor let down was that we found the double bed a bit small. Very comfy but for two adults on the large size it was a bit of a squeeze! Would've appreciated air con too as it was a (rare!) hot day and having he windows open at night meant there was a bit of noise outside in the early hours.

amazing location with easy access to different city neighborhoods Picturesque surrounding neighborhood and great view out window of the canal and canal boats, right across from a bridge 😀 Simply furnished room Neither bad nor good but to note that the stairs are very steep getting into the building and up to the room not ideal for people who are unsteady on their feet Very comfortable mattress and thorough room service

Only one outlet in bedroom and one in bathroom but a multiple plug power strip was provided

On arrival the agent / owner met us and provided an upgrade from Room A to Room B which was the larger of the two. We love this area from other in Amsterdam as it has a greater number of residents vs tourist's and hence the quality and prices in restaurants is more reasonable and better quality. The lake and street views from the room are also a real plus. The room was larger than typical and very comfortable and looked to have been recently renovated too a high standard. Just a 15 minute walk from the Central rail station with easy service to from airport. Only took taxi to due to coming of cruise ship which is about a 25 minute walk.

The stairs are steep and narrow but nothing unexpected for Europe. You need your own soap supply.

The location and the views: The quarter is quiet and lively but luckily not very touristy. The room place is wonderful, like an eagle nest overlooking the street, the canal and the bridge, so that you can just sit there to watch and enjoy the room just like that. The room is modern, clean, comfortable and big enough. Since it is not a hotel, you depend on the host's information, codes etc. but everything worked perfectly. Breakfast is not available, but there is a nice cafe just downstairs that fills this gap.

There is nothing to complain about, but it must be said that access to the premises is through steep narrow stairs, just in case. Anyone with problems of mobility should know that. The same goes about the possibility of leaving your luggage before checking in or after checking out: the option is given (thankfully), but if your luggage is big, you'll have some trouble to accommodate it out of the room

Perfect location! Cute (tasty) cafe downstairs, great canal view. Cafe closes in the afternoon so no chatter into the evening. I'd definitely stay here again.

The stairs were super steep and tiny so a bit hard to bring the luggage up. I'm a fit, petite person so it was not a super big issue but just something to think on if you're not as mobile.

We were not informed that there was construction litrally right Outside the window Was woken pretty early and even tho it didn’t bother us the stairs to the main door are extremely steep and narrow aswell as the stairs into your room
