It’s located in a really good area! 10 min walking from the Amsterdam Central station and less than 5 min to the main commercial street with all the shops and restaurants you could ever imagine! Very clean hostal, comfortable beds, locker for your personal belongings or luggage and the toilets/shower were very spacious and it was like “private”, so you go in the toilet/shower and you’re by yourself in there so you can get dress comfortably. Towels included and there’s a hair dryer in the shower available. Last but not least, the breakfast was good, I got 2 buns so I used to eat one for breakfast and the other one take it with me during my long walks in the city.
On my first night I was in a room with 5 more people, they were nice but I was the only girl in the room… I think to make feel more comfortable and secure it could’ve been better if it was like 3 male and 3 female. Also they are doing works in the building so you would wake up with a lot of noise at 8:30am.

-The hotel is located quite centrally. - Unlike a regular shared hostel, the rooms were quiet, clean and had a clients that valued quiet. The demographics of people staying here were middle aged or young professionals, rather than party going backpackers. - The under-bed lockers are practical and electronic and thus one does not need a separate padlock - Their cloak room for luggage too is big and professionally managed - Breakfast was laid on time on time on all days - While I stayed they had some renovation underway and the wifi was not working either. However the construction team was mindful of timings and noise and also the staff was kind enough to share their personal hotspots for any emergency any one had for web access - The shared showers and toilets on each floor are clean and well equipped - The reception staff was courteous and professional Overall it's a place I would absolutely recommend if you are ok with shared living and appreciate a clean and quiet place.
- Hopefully the issue with the wifi was a one off and thus hopefully it is fixed

Please find the following thoughts & suggestions:- Re: Amsterdam Centraal Station - there is no indication as to which is the main or back entrance for travellers. Re: directions to the hotel. Main entrance: When you see a building which reads “Drop-In,” cross the streets towards this building, veer left of the street corner, then walk onwards until you come to a fork. Then take the right-hand side of it and walk until you approach no. 52 Spuistraat. Re: the term ‘mixed’. There are many definitions of mixed, as in mixed races or a co-ed dorm. My version of ‘mixed’ is a co-ed dorm, not a co-ed unit, especially for the culturally sensitive. Re: luggage(s). I believe you are already working on having them closer to the person, eg. underneath the bunk bed or in the locker next to the bunk bed. Re: toilet room. It would be helpful to place an aroma diffuser or refreshener, as well as a bathroom cloth on the floor. Re: staff @ reception desk. Very warm, hospitable, accommodating & flexible. I had problems with my charging device (UK/HK version); I was accommodated with an earlier breakfast at 7:10am because I had to set off early to show up at the Barbizon Place meeting point by 7:50am for a full-day Dutch countryside tour; the wi-fi problem I had; directions to certain meeting points and on the last morning; and Sayid serving me with an early breakfast with mini-cupcakes & orange juice before setting off at 4:45am to catch my flight. Re: breakfast. It was a sheer delight, although I must admit that I love scrambled to boiled eggs. Never tried the different types of coffee but loved the orange and apple juice. Muffins and yoghurts would be a nice addition to your breakfast platter. Also, samples of Netherland’s infamous snacks would be inviting. Recommendations:- 1. I am surprised that a staff member had never gone to castles eg. Muiderlot Castle or Castle den Haar in Utrecht, while living there.

The property was in a fantastic location, we walked to every major attraction, Dam Square, Anne Franks house, Van Goth Museum. It was perfect. The rooms were great, very clean and loved the decorations. Having plugs on both side of the bed and the mirror in the bathroom having different lighting shades and the showers having different settings. It was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam
We weren’t told before hand that the hotel is going through renovations so that meant they would start work early than wanted in the morning so we did leave the hotel early because the banging was too loud. We also did like that the breakfast was a bag delivered to your room unfortunately with the work being done they didn’t have an option but a cold fried egg isn’t ideal for breakfast but in saying that the cheese, roll was nice. I suffer from back problems and for me the bed was far too soft so from having a long day of working the bed didn’t help me much. I understand that’s a personal preference though.

Each bed has a curtain for privacy, a new towel is provided daily, and a locker cabinet for valuable items. The location is very convenient too, it is near the central station and is a prime location. Breakfast is included. The staff are accommodating.
The room is a bit small for 6 guests. They are currently renovating the place, hence there's no proper place to take the breakfast. It is usually delivered in the room, the room has only 1 small table and 2 chairs.

From the moment you step into the hostel, the experience is exceptional. The staff welcomes you with warm smiles and attentive service. The rooms are surprisingly impressive, with comfortable beds equipped with privacy curtains. If you have pleasant roommates, it makes for a truly wonderful stay. The breakfast is excellent, and the hostel's location is convenient, close to the train station and various attractions. There are also great restaurants nearby. I have suggested this place to my friends. If you are hesitant about it, dont even think twice

The breakfast was great and so was the location of the hostel. Some touches to extend the useful space of the rooms (mini-shelves at the end of the bed, reading lights, sink and shelves next to the sink) were also highly appreciated. The bathrooms were spotless.
The room was extremely small and cramped, and sound insulation was minimal. Climbing the stairs was difficult on its own, and very painful with heavy luggage.

We were 6 people and there were 6 comfortable beds. The room was clean and as expected. There were towels and lighthening and curtains for each bed. The price was wonderful for the location. The breakfast was high quality and delicious. You can have two sandwiches each with cheese salami, tomatoes, and limitless tea and coffee with milk. All free.
The heater of the room was not working, so we need to tell the person responsible. We went out for lunch and when we come back it was fixed, so no big problem there. The room was not that large, and the tables inside were small to eat breakfast there. You know this is not as comfortable as a hotel with individuals sleeping in separate rooms, you are not alone and you have to be in your bed otherwise there is not enough space in the room. We stayed for one night so it was ok. It would be hard if we wanted to take a shower considering there were 6 people, so I am not sure this is a comfortable option for people who stay long. We, all 6, were family but we cannot change clothes near each other, so one needs to visit the restroom very frequently for such things.

Had all amenities needed. Staff were attentive. The beds, bathrooms and showers were very clean - they regularly cleaned the bathroom/showers and made the beds every morning. Cosy, comfy bunks with lots of privacy with the curtains which was great. Fresh towels were always on hand if you needed and asked. Never had to wait for the showers which were always in good condition, lots of privacy on the room - as a female traveller I felt safe. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good as well. Perfect for a few night stay especially as I was out for most of the time.
