My husband stayed there and the review is from him. Location was absolutely perfect. Breakfast is just a bit above average. Right by the Dam square but not in the middle of the noisy part. Dam square 3 minutes away. Centraal Amsterdam about 10-12 minutes, all by walking.

The entrance door at the bottom can use a card reader. I came back one night very late and there was no one to open the door and then after repeated knocks and ringing of the bell, a sleepy staff member came to open the restaurant door instead of the main entrance to the hotel.

Great location! Easy walk from Central Station and to several neighborhoods. The room was clean and everything was in good condition. The double windows were effective at reducing street noise even for my street-facing room on the first floor. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. I know some people complain about the size of the room, but it was absolutely fine for a short stay.

This isn’t meant to be a complaint, but I wonder if there is a way to request that one of the two single beds be removed from the room for solo travelers. I did have plenty of space, but if I were to have had only one bed, the room would have been absolutely perfect.

As central as you can get in Amsterdam and very cheap to stay. The attached restaurant where breakfast served in nice - although we missed breakfast. Staff nice.

Rooms very warm but air con is being installed. Lift (elevator) could do with instructions, unsure if this is the standard lift in Netherlands but confusing to us, not a British standard lift (elevator). Pizza was not nice sold in the adjoined pizzeria. Note* €100 deposit is required at the stay to prevent damage to the rooms,, which we did not know about until arrival.

The staff were helpful and thankfully everything went smoothly. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. The tv had good channels like Comedy Central and a hdmi port if needed. I actually wished I stayed longer because both amsterdam and the hotel was enjoyable. The safe worked and was a good inclusion. I also liked the location as it was close to a lot of attractions, food places, coffee shops and everything else.

For the most part everything went well but it would be nice if the room had a microwave for example or a hair dryer without needing to ask, even attaching the hair dryer to the wall could be an idea. But I didn’t ask for one as I just used the towel and it wasn’t that big of a deal. The spare pillow in the closet looked a bit dirty, not a big deal but could have been cleaner. Single room was small but comfy. Overall a nice stay.

Overall room cleanliness was satisfactory. It was next Dam square which is good but it can be noisy during the night due to some drunk people yelling.

First day, we were given really awful room on 5th floor which was rooftop floor. Staff were not really helpful to change as they were mentioning the other rooms were booked despite the fact that our room was given to someone else. Later on after 15-20 mins, new room was magically unbooked and we had to stay there for one day until we are transferred to our booked room. That happened as Sharon from Hotel handled the situation. So next day we moved to new room which was satisfactory.

Location was ideal. Breakfast was excellent with cappuccino made properly at last! Although the building is tired, everything was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Plenty of options for eating and Find Me Gluten Free app worked brilliantly as I have coeliac disease. I felt safe day and night in the centre of Amsterdam.

Inconsiderate late night and drunk arrivals. Perhaps the staff could remind these people that others are in rooms beside them They don't have the floor to themselves.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the red light and bars but quiet on an evening so you get a good nights sleep Central station is just a short walk less than 5 minutes as are the shops It is about 20 minutes stroll to the Leidseplein The rooms are modern but a little soulless, having said that there are wardrobes a dresser and TV Bathrooms are modern as well, with a power shower with shower gel and shampoo supplied The room is cleaned daily with clean towels etc

The only thing that lets the hotel down is Breakfast It is a very basic continental, toast, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, croissants, cheese, ham, orange juice, tea and coffee It’s edible just basic Having said that we would stay here again no problem

The room was a reasonable size compared to others we have stayed in when visiting Amsterdam. Literally a 40 second walk to Dam square. There is an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel, if residing in the hotel, you get a 10% discount. Reasonably priced. 2 mains, 3 sides and 2 beers , our bill was just over 40€. The hotel booking included breakfast, this was served in the restaurant and the selection was fantastic for a continental breakfast. All staff were so welcoming, especially Ruben who gave us much information. This will always be our first choice of hotel when staying in Amsterdam from now on.

Just off Dam square, so central to everything! Perfect location! Simple and clean rooms, perfect as a base! Breakfast was continental and well stocked, plenty of options, and plenty of time to eat! Requested rooms next to/close by when I booked and this was accommodated. Staff super friendly and as helpful as possible. will definitely book to stay here again!

Had the electric go off one night, staff on counter was new and struggled to sort the issue that night, meant we had a day without fully charged phones for photos. Issue was resolved next morning. Wasn’t a major problem, just a little inconvenient as one of our rooms had no electric to see in the bathroom either. Little noisy at night, due to location but not enough to disturb any of our party. If out late, was often a delay in being let in, up to 20 mins on one occasion, but again, only one staff overnight so if there is issue in hotel, there may be no one at reception to press the entry button for a while.

The hotel is very central located to all the places of interest.Receptionist always with a smile and ready to help with anything we required. Though breakfast was continental, it was sufficient to start the day. I liked that we had a kettle and tea and coffee in our room especially after coming back from sight seeing in the cold . Not far to walk with luggage to get to and from the train station.

I wish that our room including our bathroom was bigger, but this is an older. building. Our room was near the lift,so it could get a bit noisy when people are coming in an out at night and in the morning. Not all the clients are quiet when they are in the hallway.
