When looking for a hotel I consider 3 main things. First is if the hotel is clean and don’t have bed bugs (this is really important to me, otherwise I can’t sleep). Second and third is price and location. This hotel has everything. Location is absolutely perfect. The rooms were super clean and I felt safe to sleep. Price is fair. I really enjoyed my stay there and I will recommend to my friends.

The only thing to look out when booking a room in this hotel is if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. In order to get to the rooms you have to get on a steep stair and it was difficult even for me and my husband but I knew this before booking so we only had backpack and was not so difficult to arrive to our rooms. Also if you are sensitive to sleep with noise, you won’t listen anything from the Street but you will listen occasionally someone upstairs or going up and down the stairs. As the hotel has just a few rooms, don’t worry much because it is not packed with people. We could have a really good night of sleep as they have a really comfortable bed. To the hotel, please buy new pillows. You guys did really good job choosing the bed but that pillows were not nice.

It is located at the central of the city so we can visit almost all interesting places by walking. The steep stairs were a bit trouble but also very memorable.

Double check the room number and the key cards you have. The host normally left the keys in an envelope on the room door handle, so when we arrived, our room was occupied by some strangers and the host had to put us in another room and switch room the next day. I think they should find a more secured way to hand keys to their guests.

Everything! It was cozy, spacious and clean. Offered water for coffee and tea and it was located in the center of everything, with great restaurants around the corner - we had a run around the corner for a late evening dinner and on the opposite corner we had fantastic breakfast every morning. The stuff is helpful and very kind too.

The stairs..it’s no one’s fault and can’t be helped, but to have access to the room there are 2-3 set of stairs (depending on the room you are at) and they are very steep, almost vertical, with tiny steps. We managed just fine and we had kids and larger piece of luggage with us. If I had noticed prior to booking this place I would have packed lighter for an easier time on the stairs. Still, this place is worth the little effort on the stairs.

This hotel is very close to Amsterdam Centraal train station, approximately a 14-minute walk, it is very central, there are many restaurants nearby and it is on the corner of the Red Light District. A little tricky with entry, make sure you have the room number and the code for the exterior doors of the building. The host allowed us to check in early and they kept our bags after we checked out, the cleaning lady was very friendly and the room was very clean, there was no air conditioning and the stairs are extremely steep, be prepared to climb the stairs.

The location is perfect, just in the city center, at walking distance from everything. Also central station is just 10 minutes walk. Bed was very comfortable, and I did appreciated the coffee, chocolate and water for free that I found in the room! The room was very clean, and besides being in the red light and coffee shop district there were no noise at all, it was very silent. I was scared about the self checkin, but the day before my arrival they send me a video with all the the explaination, which was very useful!

Centrally located in the city center. Short walk to the Rokin Metro station as well as Central Station. Tons of food options nearby. Safe and secure hotel location that fit a family of four, hard to find in the city.

No A/C in the room, but we managed through with the fan provided and cracking the windows. We stayed in room 2 so we were comfortable with leaving the windows open. WiFi is was a bit spotty, but not a huge deal. The stairs are quick vertical and need to be careful when coming up and down.

The location is fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms have been renewed in the last couple of years by the looks. Family rooms of 3 single beds make the room perfect for travelling friends, or travelling with family. I travelled with my 2 teenage sons, so the space was fine, I’d imagine most visits to Amsterdam are shorter, and the focus is to be outside in the city, not sat in the hotel room.

Stairs are steep, but of caution required when descending especially. Not suitable for persons with limited body mobility or similar.

Location Fantastic, just off Dam Square. Ratin Metro station just around the corner, central station a 10 minute walk away. Trams on your doorstep, however everything was so close, we walked everywhere, and we have a 8 and 11 year old (whom don’t like walking) 😂 Lots of bakeries, restaurants, food outlets on your doorstep, everything from mc Donald’s, KFC, Starbucks, Chinese, Mexican, kebabs, to Dunkin doughnuts, all less than 5mins away. All 4 of us stayed in one room, basic but comfortable and warm, great base! Towels changed every day, bath and hand towel. Cleaner came every day.

As we were so close to the Main Street, you inevitably heard some of the hustle and bustle below. The room was warm so we opened the windows, but the back of the restaurant below had their kitchen doors open into the alley, so you could hear the noise of a working kitchen. Take some earplugs or use the fan provided. The kids and my wife slept through it, so it couldn’t be that bad, I just took a while longer to drop off to sleep.

The location is great, and nearby has a lot of food and shops. Every where is walking distance. The room is clean and comfy for a 3 pax. There were complementary of coffee in capsules, a variety of biscuits, and candies. Staff was helpful in providing clear instructions for check-in. Easy and convenient. Overall, good experience.

The staircase was too steep and needed to be extra careful.

Our room and bathroom were super clean, new and cosy. Beds were comfortable (mattresses rather on the soft side). We had a Nespresso coffee machine with enough of capsules, creamers and tea bags. Our window was into a narrow space between two buildings so there was no view but thank to that it was pretty quiet at night given the very central location. Also, thanks to the hotel manager: we received very precise instructions on how to find the hotel and our room key. And after I asked, we could check in 2 hours earlier :)

This building is very old so this is normal but just so you know: if you will have noisy neighbors you will hear them very well. But the hotel has enough signs for everyone to keep it quiet ;)
