Clean, convenient hostel. It's overpriced through.

It's a combined bar / hotel. The bouncer at the door with a shaved head is a sociopath. Tried to start a fight with me as I politely walked past him to enter the hostel. Telling me he would kill me...all I said was "I am staying here tonight" A real piece of s***

very central location and every where is a quick walk. the property has good facilities all very nice and clean

the noise in the building due to the pub and v busy street. some work such as double glazing and sound proofing can help but the staff always provided the ear plugs which is very helpful. i was living in Room A and the lock kept on getting stuck between ladder and causing a lot of disturbance maybe this can fixed. and they only change sheet’s probably at checkout. but overall its a great place and I will stay here again for sure.

The reception staff are so lovely! Immediately, you feel welcome and at home. It puts you in a good mood for the rest of your trip. Location is perfect for everything. Rooms were fine and the pods did a very good job of keeping sound out and felt private. Pods also had usb ports for charging. Showers were clean enough I guess. Not much problem with queues, but sometimes it was difficult to work showers around the cleaning of the rooms. Towels available for deposit and you can change daily although there is no need to change your towel daily, every 2 days at most.

The stay was perfect. My only feedback would be to put a system in place for the showers while cleaning takes place. The cleaners work for a long time and it's not clear if or what showers can be used. The cleaners seemed a bit frustrated when people are doing stuff while they try to clean, I appreciate they have a difficult job and the rooms were always clean and tidy. Keep one shower open at a time and have a sign on the open shower. make cleaning showers a priority to make them available as quickly as possible.

Location is great and hostel is impeccably clean - rooms and shared bathrooms alike. A lot of privacy in the dorms with the capsule style beds, though this does take away from the social aspects of dorm style rooms. Luggage storage was helpful and discounts at attached bar and nearby grocery store was a nice plus.

While the rooms had good AC, air flow within the cubicles, especially those furthest from the ac unit, was poor - we were very hot at night. The lights in the dorm are motion sensor but very bright and VERY sensitive. They were on most of the night because any movement from the cubbies that touched the curtains at the end turned the lights on. A lack of kitchen area or common area wasn’t ideal for socializing or for allowing guests to save any money by buying their own food or drinks at a grocery store etc. Top bunks had to store their bags in lockers out in the hallway, which was also a bit inconvenient, and bathrooms aren’t on every floor so depending on room and gender you needed to go up or down a flight of *incredibly* steep stairs.

I recently stayed at a hostel in downtown Amsterdam, and it was my first time staying in a hostel. Initially, I was a bit worried, but that all changed when I arrived. The receptionist, a friendly and welcoming Italian girl, made me feel right at home. I forgot to ask for her name, but she was incredibly helpful and patient, answering all of my questions. After checking in, I met some wonderful people who were staying in the same room. We quickly became friends, sharing stories and travel tips. We even went out for dinner and drinks together later that night, which turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip to Amsterdam. This hostel is a perfect choice for anyone looking to make new friends while traveling. Highly recommended!

I stayed in one of the hostel pods for 2 nights. The pods are a good size, but I am 150cm so tall people might find them a bit small. The bathrooms were really clean throughout almost the whole duration of my stay. The only time they weren't freshly clean was on Saturday morning, but I showered right after another person. Staff were incredibly friendly the whole time, and even online communication (messages via booking) were replied to within a few hours. The hostel provides a locker padlock and a towel for a 5 euro deposit each, which you get back in cash on their return. You can get a fresh towel as often as you want. Given the hostel is right on the main red light district street, the rooms are very quiet and you can't really hear any sounds from the nightlife outside. This was great for me as I travelled for work.

I'm not a young person, so I found the staircase is really narrow and especially difficult to navigate with luggage. I was in a top bunk pod and found the ladder quite difficult to get up (again, I am not a limber young lady anymore). Next time I will request a bottom bunk to avoid this. The walls between the pods are really thin. You could hear a mouse fart on the other side of the room. The curtain at the entrance of the pods could also benefit from some magnets to hold the sides closed. The lockers are very handy and you get one specific to your bed number. While they are tall/wide, they are also very shallow. There also isn't much room in the corridor or the dormitory to pack/unpack any bags and cases.

The location is perfect, at a walking distance of all main museums and attractions. Everything was really clean and new. The cabin beds offer you more privacy than regular bunk beds which I liked as a solo traveller.

The only critique that I really have is that the bedroom was a bit narrow and the top bunk beds had the locker outside the room, so it's a bit difficult to store your things and get changed without going in and out of the room a million times. Also, bring a sleeping mask because the big light opens automatically with a sensor every time someone goes in/out the room and it can be uncomfortable when trying to sleep.

The location is SUPERB. Walking distance to nearly everything. Lots of good restaurants, shopping, etc. and easy access to the tram lines. Super clean, well maintained, great staff, good folks staying there overall.

SUPER noisy at nights because there's a bar next door playing music, so make sure you have ear plugs and even that won't block out the noise 100%. The curtains are also not black-out curtains, they're just light curtains, so anytime someone enters the room or moves around, the lights all go on and could make it difficult to sleep. Also, no coat hangers there, so it's difficult to hang your coat after it rains.

Well done for being so clean! People there clean at least2 times a day and it is never upleasant to use the facilities!! Also the staff is very communicative and responsible for safety of hostel areas you could rely on them!!! It was very kind of you to help me carry my big luggage on the room and opposite!!

You should really check the fridge you provide to the customers because all my food had a taste of mold the next day I took them out. Also the automatic light inside the room was really annoying for a good sleep with all these guests coming and going during night. Finally I would recommend this place mostly for people with few stuff because the space for luggages is extremely limited

This hostel is located just 10minutes walk from the central station.usually the beds in hostels are in verticle but here the beds are on horizonticle.that means only Ur feets will be open to the outside.so that U have the maximum privacy..even the feets side U can cover with the curtain.if U are going bit early U can rent a coin locker until Ur check-in time arrives.the staff is really helpful.thank for the nice stay in Amsterdam.

It would be better if there is a mirror in the room so that U don't have to go to the wash room to see Ur face.since it is located in red district it is bit noisy at night.
