Location was very close to the tram which went directly into the city centre, and the bed was quite comfortable. Check-in was very easy as well.
We booked a room with a kitchenette because we were hoping to cook some of our meals instead of eating out for every meal, but there were no cooking utensils/plates/cutlery, etc. except for 2 small glasses. We wouldn’t have bothered booking a room with a kitchenette if we knew we’d have no way to use it.

Overall had a great experience at the social hub. The checkin and check out process was all self serviced however they do have receptionists at the desk 24/7. The vibe gives off a student campus dormitory and is very high tech, eco friendly and secure. It’s a 25min tram ride into the city centre however we found it better to hire bikes from the property and get around that way. It’s about a 20min bike ride into the city centre and everyone uses bicycles as a main mode of transport. The room was bigger than expected, it had all the essentials, and was clean. The demographic is definitely catered to young people with little study nooks, a cafe on site, pool tables, vending machines, laundry facilities, quiet rooms, lounges etc.
Wish it had a mini fridge.

The Location: You have to budget for time due to the commute, whilst there is a tram stop and station right outside the hotel, it was my first time staying in this part of Amsterdam so I wasn't used to the longer commute to and fro the city center everyday, I guess this is just a personal preference and no fault of the hotel. The Room: spacious, comfortable, quiet and more than equipped for all your needs, I booked a particular room with a small kitchenette, purely because I needed a microwave, this really helped and added so much more value to my stay. The Staff: some of the most amazing individuals work here - super helpful, caring and fun to engage with on every level, a true highlight of my stay here. I would most certainly return here again as there is so much more value for money as opposed to the other Social Hub in Amsterdam. This hotel is reasonably priced and the staff are a 1000 times better than the other Social Hub in Amsterdam.

The Social Hub concept of shared spaces was nice to experience! We chose a king bedroom over another option we had in a hostel as this hotel offers everything good from both sides of a hotel (privacy) and a hostel (shared spaces). We stayed for 4 nights 2 of which we worked in the coworking space. It's a good option for remote workers like us who travel while working. Cleanness of the room was great, with daily recharge of coffee capsules and water bottles in the room. Small details in the design of the room were cool; like there was a water meter to educate about the amount of water used per shower! The gym was small but had all the essential equipment!
The distance to the city center was 30 minutes by tram, we thought it was closer based on other reviews. The Supermarket nearby was small and to get to better ones you had to walk around 20min. We didn't get the breakfast; however, by just looking at the offered table, it was a bit overpriced. If the breakfast was a better deal we would definitely enjoy it!

The hotel has some amenities in the room - coffee machine, tea, etc. - and the laundry is free. These kind of things make a huge difference for travellers. The breakfast is nice, the room is confortable and clean, and the location is very convenient, with the tram and the metro just outside the door.
Some of the staff are very helpful, but not all of them. This is a normal thing in very big hotels, with many people working there, but some of them couldn't give very basic information.

All staff members are customer oriented and friendly. They received us late at night and gave us all the details we needed to know about our stay. Also helped to fix the accommodation for my relatives in good manner and explained the reasons for all extra charges which is something I personally highly appreciate! Extensive services. It offers different type of rooms based on your needs. Cafeteria with extended breakfast options, terrace, billiard table, ping pong table, working area, gym, basketball and football courts.
I would say it’s not that I did not like it. The terrace which is located on the back of the coffee place could be improved by adding plants. It will give greener environment and make it more attractive, comfortable and cozy.

Very organized and easy to get around. Cool facilities, like the TV and pool table. The metro and tram was right next door, which was perfect. The room was pretty small, but definitely still spacious enough and it was great for us!
Our cards didn’t work for the kitchen at first and on our 3rd day it didn’t even work for the elevators, to get to our room. Both times we just went to the desk and they helped us out, but it was still kind of weird and annoying. The breakfast of 15€ a day seemed kind of too much for us, although we don’t know what they served, as we didn’t get it. We don’t know if our room simply ran out of it, but we didn’t have any body wash - only a tiny travel soap.

The place seems to be originally a student dormitory but it is more like a hotel than a dormitory. Rooms are exceptionally clean, very well equipped (compared to similar facilities with this price), the common areas are so much fun with a lot to do; meeting rooms/study rooms, game tables at the lobby, vending machines, automated self-check-in... You will not feel that you are in a dorm... The neighborhood is calm and very nice, and you find a lot of cool people around (albeit mostly on the younger side)
Location is a bit far from center, takes about 20 minutes by tram or metro, but it's not a big deal. Nothing else.

The location is a bit away from the center, but public transport is about 50 meters away and takes you to anywhere you want to get in Amsterdam.

For someone who needs peace and quiet for a good sleep, comfortable bed and room temperature, clean and functional bathroom - this place was just right. It is not a walking distance to the center but public transport is extremely convenient and close by - both trams and subway options. We didn't have the hotel breakfast, so I cannot comment on that but there was a nespresso coffee machine in the room with a daily capsules refill - just perfect for a quick coffee before heading out! The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
