This is a lovely hotel - very environmentally sustainable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and had what we needed. The breakfast has locally produced and organic produce available which is great. The lounge area and outside square is very nice for working in or meeting friends in the day. Lively at nighttime too with a great Asian fusion restaurant on the square.

The room was a little dingier than the pictures. They also run out of fresh bread fast in the morning so make sure you get to breakfast early. There was not so much left by just before 10am when we got there.

The hotel was charming, cozy, and in a great location. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The cafe on the first floor is nice, and offers an enjoyable complementary breakfast. The hotel has some very interesting themes, and it gives the place a rather unique feel and charm. The hotel is quirky and unique, and definitely worth visiting.

The only issue with the hotel is that the walls can be a little thin. It's rather easy to hear people in the hallways or in neighboring rooms. However, this was not a serious issue, as all guests were quiet and polite. Although the walls are a little thin, it didn't pose any problems for sleeping.

Everything was great for me. Spacious room, comfortable bed, shower worked well, excellent location, wonderful breakfast in lovely room with large windows letting in the sunshine and very arty chandeliers. No traffic and quiet. Eco conscious and no rubbish, waste or plastic for breakfast.

There was nothing I didn't like! A very minor point was that breakfast can be a little busy. As a consequence one might sit just somewhat close to other parties and coffee arrived with some delay which was long for me but will not be a problem for people who are less dependent on coffee in the morning.

Firstly Delft is a beautiful City, luckily most people don't realise this and they go to Amsterdam instead, but Delft is so much nicer. If you're wanting a quiet relaxing break with the cafes and canals but without the crowds then I would highly recommend Delft. The Hotel de Plataan is located in a small square surrounded by cafes and bars but not too noisy at night. It's lovely, slightly quirky, old hotel and the staff very nice and welcoming. We stayed for four nights in one of the themed rooms which was like no other hotel room we've ever stayed in. The themed rooms are all different and the one we had was a large room with a massive round bed and an awesome double jacuzzi all in the one room! Breakfast was the typical continental style and very nice.

Perfect location, very near to the center of Delft. Can only recommend. Breakfast was really super delicious. The room was very interesting. Our children also liked the nice paintings and windmills on the wall. Stuff was also always very friendly. Can only recommend this place. Was fun that the back of the bed could have been lifted up with the remote control. I really liked the view on the city from our window and the shower with the painting. And in general the style of the hotel.

There was a small inconvenience because of a renovation which did not let us leave the car in the parking space on the first day. But the second day we could find a space here so then it was fine. On the day we left we wanted to buy some souvenir before leaving but there was no option to leave the car till 12 o´clock. Understandable because of the renovation going on in the parking lot, but anyway people don´t check-in until the early afternoon. So maybe a small flexibility on this could have been nice since we were there with two small kids...we could have avoider searching for extra parking place etc. etc. Bed was comfortable but one big mattress would have been better :) A small fridge in the room would be a great touch.

It’s in a fantastic location, with easy walking access to all tourist locations. The room we had was really quirky, which lived up to our boutique expectations. The room had a huge round bed, with an elevated platform that housed a huge double ended jacuzzi bath overlooking the front of the hotel that has seating to sit and unwind, plus a couple of fab restaurants, we dined in both.

The hotel was in a beautiful location on a lovely square. I enjoyed taking my breakfast outside in the morning and watching the world go by. The breakfast buffet itself was also delicious and good value included in the price. I hired a bike from the hotel on a couple of days and that really added to my trip.

The room was one of the themed ones, and although it was spacious and the bathroom was lovely the decor (especially the carpet) was a bit tired, and the 'boat' bed could have been comfier.

Excellent location, with 2 of Delft's top-rated restaurants next door and all the city's tourist attractions within walking distance. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. An art movie cinema is situated opposite the hotel. The tram station (Prinsenhof) is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and goes to The Hague Centre and Scheveningen beach. Breakfast is included and the hotel organizes transport if necessary, at a fee.

-each time I return to this hotel I fall in love a little more -I was told the pastoral wall paintings are by local delft artists -the room and lounge are incredibly relaxing -best scrambled eggs I think I’ve had, and I’ve stayed in a multitude of places. really good continental breakfast, such delicious breads, herbs are grown at the hotel which also keeps chickens. -the whole ambience is wonderful

not a dislike, cost of an upgrade is a little expensive but I was very happy with my room nonetheless. I’ve stayed in the theme room before and loved that as it has views across the delf skyline

The location was very nice. The breakfast was super good - freshly squeezed orange juice, assortment of artisan breads and buns, lunch meats and cheese board, jams, fresh vegetables and two kinds of hummus.

This is a dated facility located in a busy and loud in the evening area. The lift didn’t work and we had to carry our luggage upstairs by ourselves.
