Hotel Port

Efficiently run hotel. Staff were all helpful and friendly. There was building work going on so the area outside the door to my room was very dusty etc. Good shower with two heads. The room was basic but clean. The metro station is an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away and a couple of bars . The hotel suited me fine for my 3 night stay. I would stay again.

I didn't not like - but Coolhaven is what Rotterdam residents call an area 'in transition'. I didn't feel unsafe but currently there is not much in the area. The curtains in my room were really thin and kept little of the light out.

Room was very comfortable and well heated, room service excellent. Staff were very friendly and able to advise us on any query we had, as well as being available around the clock. Hotel Port was close to public transport and places to see and visit, including the sea and parks, always some new place to explore.

We found many bike riders were completely indifferent to pedestrians. We felt we had to have 'eyes in the back of our heads' at all times. Many bicycle riders seemed to have a complete disregard for the rules of the road!

I only stayed for two nights to participate in a conference in Rotterdam. I was in a double-bed room. The sheets were very clean and the bathroom was clean, warm, and designed nicely. The staff were very helpful and nice. I also really liked the 24 check-in scheme, because I arrived quite late (1:00 AM) and was able to easily go to my room. I enjoyed one-day of bike rental to ride to the conference and it was a hassle-free experience.

I like the view of trees or nature, but my room's view was the street. Perhaps this is not a weakness of the hotel in the middle of a city. The hallways leading to the room were a bit small and narrow, while I like wide and open designs more. Perhaps with better decoration or creative coloring, this can be alleviated a bit.

Lovely little hotel, ideally situated for exploring Delfshaven and Oud-Charlois, for such delights as the Dutch Pinball Museum. On this visit, the outside temp. was 30° plus, so the aircon unit in the room was WONDERFUL. Another plus is that the desk is attended 24/7, so no problem catching the the late flight to Rotterdam airport.

It's a pity there was no fridge in the room, and we never did figure out how to switch off the lamp above the en suite sink, but otheriwse things were great.

The hotel was clean and spacious. We had a large spa bath, which was wonderful. The hotel is close to a Met station, so getting around the city via train was quite easy. Walking distance to the Euromast.

Our room seemed a bit old, although everything was clean. There were renovations happening in another room when we first arrived, so they might be upgrading the older rooms. Our bathroom seemed to have already been updated.

location was great, only a 10 minute cycle to the train station. as well as this it was close to a small port/harbour where there were cruises etc. room was great, small but with great amenities, bathroom was great, storage was excellent for 4 days as a solo. Not to mention they provided a fan in case it got too hot

the wifi was a bit slow and unreliable but wasn't the end of the world. would be better if it was more stable but other than that it was sufficient.

everything was clean, cozy. small room, but has everything you need. delicious breakfasts, friendly staff. parking is 500 meters from the hotel, you can leave the car and walk. the location of the hotel is very convenient, you can get there on foot or by metro, which is nearby.

the glass in the shower does not close completely, it is inconvenient to take a shower

I stayed for 1month and the staff did everything possible to make my stay as comfortable as it can be. I had to work from the hotel a lot and when my wifi was low in the room, the staff brought me an extra long lan cable to connect from the hallway wife router straight to my room. This was much appreciated!

Breakfast was the same every day, but tasty overall and with reasonable amount of choices. Other than that, had a great stay there!

Most of the staff were helpful and welcoming. Small but homey room. Daily changes of towels and empting trash. We were able to stay in the hotel, on sofas in reception. They also offer nice toilletes in basement.

Sometimes the water wasnt running fully, so it was hard to shower and dush hair. The room was hot, because the AC wasnt working.

Very nice staff. Possibility to make tea and coffee in room. Comfortable bed. Okay breakfast, maybe a bit expensive for what you get though. Location walking distance to Erasmus MC and metro station.

Floor gets wet when you shower. I see this in a lot of reviews but was still the case during my stay. Place is a bit outdated, could do with some fresh paint.
