Beautiful black design. Felt very modern.

Shower cabin is terrible. After showering couple of minutes, cabin was full of water and started to leak on the floor. Had to mop myself.

The area is very beautiful, it's easy to reach the train station quickly, and there are shops, cafes, and restaurants in the vicinity. The staff is friendly and the cleanliness is good, although there was some dust under the bed. The bathroom is very nice, clean, and nicely decorated. The TV is a large smart TV, enjoyable for watching Netflix on rainy days. In the room, we had a small espresso machine that used pods, which were replenished every morning during cleaning. If I were to return to Rotterdam, I would stay at this accommodation again.

I suggest to place a mirror in the elevator. I'm not sure if it was mentioned on booking, but a €100 deposit is required at check-in and is refunded at check-out. Our room was quite small, but sufficient for 2 people of normal weight. If we were overweight, we might not have fit comfortably. I'm not sure if it was my oversight or if it's the case, but the window in the room we stayed in only opens slightly upwards and can't be fully opened, which makes ventilation difficult.

Really nice, small, boutique hotel! I definitely highly recommend it. I could not believe how inexpensive it was. Half the price of The James hotel, which is my normal, boogie Go2 hotel in RTM!! I had a great sleep. The residential neighbourhood is quiet. The beds are most comfy. The bathroom sale was extremely comfortable. If you are a couple looking for a romantic weekend, the bathroom has the LARGEST mirror opposite it, to watch yourselves in the shower. AMAZABALLZ

This was not a negative for me, as I enjoy cramming in any form of exercise on business trips, but it is 20-25min walk from the city center. Ubers aren't too expensive, but people should keep in mind that if they want all the hustle & bustle and be in the thick of it, this hotel is out of the city center.... but imho that's a bonus!!!

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet street slightly apart from the city center but it is still walking distance. It's in a historical building but with all the commodities of contemporary life. The rooms are decorated with a fine taste and are quite confortable. The bathrooms are big enough. Hairdriers have to be requested at reception as they are not available in the bathrooms. Nevertheless, they are available. The staff is pleasant and professional. Requests are quickly answered. A small stroll can take you to a set of restaurants and cafés close by, which makes for a very pleasant stay.

Nothing.

Take note, they have 2 hotels. The main Le Marin and this Le Petit Marin which is only a short walk from the main hotel. Check in from the main hotel, they held our luggage before our rooms were available and transferred them to the rooms. Hotels are close to Central Station which is again about a 15 min walk. They were great to help and held our luggage after check out. Despite it being all dark and bleak to some, it was a big size room. Tea and coffee facilities, knock on the door for room service in the morning, bathroom was lovely, vegan shampoo, body wash and hand wash. No fridge in the room, but they have one in the reception that is available to all (we left a bottle of water, so please feel free to have). Air con is a little troublesome to work out, but it was satisfactory. Great customer service, no complaints there. They were lovely to accommodate to us, especially when my friend completely forgot about his key in the room and they were able to unlock the door for him through communication on WhatsApp.

The placements of the lights are terrible, I'll be honest. The long mirror in the room is far away from the lights, so you can barely see yourself. Bathroom lights are all above you, so the angle of the lighting is not great when checking yourself out in the mirror. Streaming to the TV on TV WiFi, therefore losing the hotel internet WiFi.

I loved the location! It’s so close to the city centre that if you like to walk, you can walk and be there in 15-20 min. It’a also just one bus stop away from the Central Station. I also loved how aesthetically pleasing and clean the place was! It’s worth the price we paid. Would definitely recommend to a friend and stay there again.

I didn’t like that the check-in was only supposed to be at 3pm, so we had to wait the whole day. Thankfully, we were able to at least get into the room at 1pm Another thing that was weird was that they asked for a 100€ deposit and it wasn’t mentioned before, so it’s a good thing I had some extra money that I could use, otherwise it would have created some difficulties

Good location in a quiet street about ten-twelve minutes walk from the rail station, which made it good for days out to the wealth of nearby towns and cities. Also, just a few minutes walk from the nearest tram stop, giving easy access to the centre (walkable but quite a way) and around the city. The room was quiet, with tea/coffee making facilities, and the bed was large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful both in Le Petit Marin and the larger Le Marin at the end of the road, which is where the bar and breakfast service was. The bar, by the way, has some nice local bottled beers.

The room didn't have a wardrobe, just a short rail with three coathangers. I'm happy living out of a suitcase for a few days but my wife considered this an inconvenience. Breakfast was adequate but rather expensive for the choice. After the first day, we just bought something in the station (which has several cafes) before going off to explore.

Our stay in Rotterdam accidentally coincided with Kings Day (27 April) and we really appreciated the hotel's location on a quiet side street - the city was having one gigantic, very noisy party and we had a nice place to go to escape from it! The bed was huge and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and smart. All of the members of staff were friendly and helpful. We did not opt for breakfast, which was not in our bit of the hotel anyway, but there were some very good cafes not far away serving eggs, pancakes etc.

The hotel has a very specific design look, with lots of black. It's interesting on the one hand, but does make everything very dark and often hard to see where switches are and things like that. There's pretty much all you need in the room (coffee maker, safe etc.) but a couple of glasses and some larger cups would be nice. The Dutch do like a 'kopje' but unless you're into shots of espresso, having more than one mouthful of a hot beverage would be preferable.

We fell in love with this Hotel. Clean, cozy, quiet, good location, and the staff very friendly. About the deposit that some reviewers wrote about : I paid it via credit card (but I believe you can hand it by cash too) and was returned to me straight away on the check-out day; please notice it might take 2-4 days for the Banks to process it. The bathroom is spectacular and it has what I think is most important after spending many many hours walking around a city: a comfortable shower and the water being immediately hot.

No hairdrier but as I had read other reviews, I brought one along. So it wasn't much of a problem.

The location is pretty good. It's nice and quiet yet not too far from the city center. There is a comfortable bed in the room, so we had a good night sleep. The room itself feels cozy and comfortable.

I didn't understand why I was charged a 100 € deposit for services that are available in another sister hotel. I obviously wasn't using them and now I have to wait to get my money back. This should not be a thing.
