Room was a good size and the spa tub was heaven after walking for miles and hours each day. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was plentiful. Good location, with a tram stop and metro station outside. Evening meal I had in the restaurant each evening was outstanding. Most of the staff were very helpful.

Fancy coffee machine but only powdered milk - yuk. Check in didn't go too smoothly so I was given a voucher for a drink at the bar/restaurant. First evening I go to the restauarant and order a mocktail. The drink arrives and the waitress then tells me the voucher doesn't cover the cost of a mocktail. Bill comes and I was charged17 euros. Seriously that is daylight robbery - the hotel should be ashamed of itself. The alcoholic cocktails were the same price !! I asked for directions to the Remastered experience. Told by the young lady on reception to go over the bridge, end of the traffic lights and turn right. Did this, completley wrong. I have now missed my time slot. Go back to the hotel and ask a different member of staff who tells me to go UNDER the bridge. Not impressed.

The location is great, room was big with good facilities. The jacuzzi bath was a nice addition to the bathroom. I would stay again as the location is perfect, it’s very easy to walk to Witte de withstraat where there are lots of nice bars and restaurants. Nice view of the Erasmus bridge

The food in the restaurant wasn’t great and was very expensive. The water in the room was €5 which is extremely expensive. I was there for 4 nights and went to a nearby spar to buy water. The shower soaked the bathroom floor. There was one day where my room wasn’t cleaned. My room faced onto the street so there was quite a bit of noise at night from cars and the tram. The pool temperature was quite cold

We stayed in a City XL King room, which was amazing. Huge comfortable bed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom with shower and spa bathtub. Ropes, towels, slippers, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner available. Hair dryer, safe and fridge available. There are huge windows with black out curtains. Funky decor. Great swimming pool and Sauna facilities. The breakfast options are fantastic, hot and cold breakfast. Chef cooking things to order. Tube/ tram stop right outside the front door. Great WiFi. There is also a Gym. Would recommend and will come back.

Rooms facing city side can be noisy due to trams/ traffic. Reception staff was disappointing, a queue of people and no extra staff to help. We did not get told about breakfast or facilities at check-in.

The people who work there are great. The bathtub with water jets was not the best but it served it's purpose to help me relax after work. The sauna was nice. I liked that there were so many towels to use. The location is perfect with nice view next to the river. The room was quite and in the corridors outside there is a thick carpet to reduce noise while walking. The bed was comfortable. The coffee in the room tastes good. I would definitely visit again for business or vacation.

We have no complains, Just want to share few things that are noticeable and not particulary bad. The shared swimming pool is small and It was a bit confusing with the signs where is the <Adults only> spa. Additionally, we were expecting from a room with a privet ~jacuzzi~ and a sauna to offer better quality beers in the fridge than heineken.

Very nice comfortable hotel with beautiful view from the window of the city. Beautiful lobby and restaurant. And very exceptionally large area of wellness and gym. It has 2 separate area, one must wear swimwear and one naked. Both has a gym inside. Both has dry and steam sauna, with transparent big windows that allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the city. Enough towels and water supply, bathrobe and slippers. Malin goetz branded shampoo conditioner and body wish in the room. Big jacuzzi in the room. The location is perfect. 10min walk to blaak and 10min walk to Rotterdam centraal.

Pillow sucks. Hard to make reservations for the treatment and restaurant on the same day. The receptionist very slow. Takes long.

Room was lovely with a fabulous view. The terrace was lovely to sit out on. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Some of the bar staff were okay but the wait staff and restaurant experience wasn't great. If you're paying for 5 star- you want the service to match the facilities. Some staff were quite rude, which didn't really make me feel welcome as a paying guest. Food was very average for the price and I waited over half an hour after my plate was cleared to be asked whether I wanted anything else. It wasn't crazy busy and the staff seemed to be more attentive to other tables.

I have stayed in the MainPort Hotel numerous occasions. Until now it was one of my favorite hotels for the Spa, Spa rooms, view on the water, valet parking, central location, fabulous breakfast, bar and restaurant. See below on what I did not like.

Unfortunately the floor that I stayed on this time had the passageway roof removed with debris all over the carpet. One would have expected for the area to be cleaned or closed off. The quality of the breakfast was not up to the standard previously. On the first morning I ordered poached eggs - it took 20' to receive eggs that were over cooked and not well presented. There were no smoothies, and a lack of choice for the fresh fruit. The staff serving breakfast lacked management, co-ordination and urgency.

The reception staff were all young, fully motivated, conscientious and responsive, very polite and friendly (Eva in particular) speaking English too. We paid extra for an upgrade and the view was worth every penny, as was the jacuzzi bath. We were treated to a surprise in our room for our Anniversary with petals, balloons & rubber ducks which had been picked up on during a conversation and made us feel very special (thank you Eva!) 😊 The room & hotel was immaculately clean and handy for the city with tram and bus stops right outside. The glass lifts gave an amazing view over a harbour immediately outside. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food and drinks. Leisure facilities were good (although pool was out of use for some of our stay). The steam room (on the wellness side without swimsuits) was the best I have ever been in (for steam!!) but the other one by the pool (with swimsuits) was out of order.

Just the fact the pool wasn’t usable for some of our stay and one of the steam rooms was out of order (the dressed one) but the maintenance guys were working on the pool to get it fixed. Struggled to obtain any decaff coffee easily.

A fantastic hotel in a great location. I would return, but have breakfast elsewhere. Parking near by, but at €23 per day. Use "Parkeergarage De Boompjes" in the sat nav and not the hotel address. Unless you require valet parking. I didn't use it as i wasn't aware of the cost before arriving and never asked. The underground car park is around 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The room was big enough with a city view. A great big jaccuzi bath with a small tv built into the mirror. Everything was spotless. The bed was huge and very confortable. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, but i didn't mind paying for the quality. It was outstanding and worth it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and answered any questions i had without hesitation. Sunbed next to the pool costs an additional €15 for 15 minutes. Pool and Gym are free.

Breakfast!! The price is outrageous. For comparrison, my evening meal was Beef Carpaccio as a starter. Steak, and fries as the main course. Also 2 coke zero's. This total was €63.70. I was happy to pay this as it was top quality. Back to breakfast. All the usual selections that i have had on offer in many hotels in the Netherlands. Scrambled eggs, bacon, small sausages and the usual fruit, salad, ham & cheese. The selection is big with various breads, but €29.00 per person is outrageous. It's also an extra €7.50 for breakfast delivered to your room.

Great location at an harbour arm, close to the Maritime Museum, therefore close to many interesting ships and boats just outside the hotel. A range of interesting restaurants close by, off the main road the hotel is located at. Our city-facing room was large with interesting design and comfortable bed. The spa bath in our bathroom was great. The swimming pool on the 8th floor was good for relaxation and exercise. Breakfast was excellent and varied and the staff there was fantastic. A chef made pancakes or omelette to order.

Asked for complimentary 1 hour later check-out, but was told I would have to pay 50 Euro/hour. Shower recess stayed wet most of the day. Tram noise intruded a bit through the windows. Should have got a harbour view room.
