A booklet hard copy explaining everything is an absolute must rather than just relying on the TV screen - we could not work out the scan process which was incredibly frustrating. Relying on IT 100% is a shocking strategy.

the breakfast was decent although not as good as in Kaikoura in the same hotel, relatively close to the airport but had to take the yellow shuttle bus. The pool was nice too although very slippy around which wasn't great for kids.

it seemed like we got a lot of no's from the staff - for example asking if we could get some bread for kids that were starving and couldn't wait for the dinner to be made. I find it hard to believe there was no bread in the kitchen. There were no robes/slippers in the room so it was a bit awkward walking around in a swimsuit. The location also wasn't ideal - I'd probably go with Novotel just outside of terminal the next time.

Comfortable rooms, very efficient room service! good shuttle bus system (8 NZD each way). We also had a relative visit us for the evening, and there was space to catch up. The sustainability initiatives at this hotel were great - refillable toiletries, separated waste for recycling and milk that was delivered in little glass bottles. This always makes our stay more enjoyable and earns an extra star!

There was confusion on the night about what food was available, given there was a food festival in the restaurant.

We stayed in a premium king room which was very comfortable and well appointed. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The insulation and triple glazing resulted in a quiet room despite its proximity to busy roads and the airport. We always book the Sudima Airport because of the great restaurant there. It is amazing to find an airport hotel anywhere in the world which has a good restaurant serving interesting, delicious food sourced locally with a good local wine list. Most airport hotels offer the standard awful prefab, reheated pizzas, burgers and chips. It was so nice to once again finish our holiday in NZ with a lovely meal and glass of wine.

Excellent check in staff. Offered to breing my bags in which was much appreciated. Had lunch at restaurant - great food and good service. Room faced motorway but no noise issues. Wouls stay again

Our room was fully paid prior to arrival. I was asked to supply my credit card for a "hold" $100 was the sum, which I was told would be credited back in a day or so. Its a week now and its still not repaid - so while they gain interest on my money I am paying interest on what comes on my card as a purchase. This is not how pre authorisations should work - so check your credit card!

I noticed the other reception staff were more welcoming and empathetic to their clients needs so I would usually give this hotel a 10. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. And I would usually recommend it.

It's amazing how one thing early on during your stay taints your view of a hotel. I was greeted with a smile and the words "checkin is at 2pm". I had to ask her to repeat!!! Surely it would be better to apologise at the very least for this inconvience. And surely there is some flexibility an hour and a quarter before official checkin. In the end she did ask house keeping after asking me to wait quarter of an hour before doing so. Then to the room to find there is no milk...instead a sign to contact reception to obtain fresh milk. Tired from travelling and a bad experience at checkin doesn't help when you can't make yourself a tea...I ordered milk and gave up waiting. Surely it would be better to have a small carton of uht milk with a note to contact reception for fresh milk if preferred

Great location, clean, nice grounds that meant you have a "green view". Beds are clean, room was very comfortable and food was excellent. Staff also were friendly and very helpful

The only thing that passed for a desk in the room was a narrow shelf that was half taken up with a giant power bar. However, all but one plug had been taken out. Result: the narrow shelf was so narrow my lap top didn't fit, especially since I had to plug a power converter into the single power outlet before I plugged in my laptop. It took considerable thought and planning to make what could have been a compact and useful work space into a useless waste of space! Somewhere a designer is very proud of themselves!

The room was comfortable and easily accessible. There was a good selection of teas and coffee. Car parking was well priced, and conveniently located next to the car hire business for an easy morning return.

The room service menu was overpriced, with less than 1/4 glass of wine and a very small salad for $54! The restaurant could not seat me, as I was a party of one. Also, as a young solo traveller I was given a ground floor disability room, which would have been better suited to an older or less able bodied guest. The view was of a brick wall which was disappointing after a long trip.

The room was fine - roomy and with a good double bed. I enjoyed having the option of a bath or shower, too.

The bus service from the airport, shared between about 5 hotels, should be FREE. Especially for foreign tourists who, having paid a lot of money ALREADY to fly to NZ, don't really want to mess about with (1) broken ticket machine(s) to buy a pesky ticket for either $8 or $16 just after they arrive. These hotels should club together (?!) and provide a courtesy service as other countries do. I do think though that this is a dreadful result of Auckland Airport charging for everything - and may eventually kill the golden goose off!
