Good size room. Comfortable bed. Good selection of teas - including Earl Grey. Had decaf coffee as well as normal. Good number of individual milks in fridge. Good size wardrobe - with proper hangers which you could take off the rail easily. Iron and ironing board provided (though didn't need to use them).Everything seemed very clean. Good blackout curtains . Good selection of TV options. Excellent shower pressure. Very welcome heated towel rail. In this room (209) the washbasin allowed reasonable access to the mirror (in room 410, which we stayed in 3 nights previously, the basin design was completely impractical for actually getting close enough to the mirror for things like applying make up, or shaving ). Bathroom was a good size. Friendly reception. Great location - very near restaurants in Oxford Terrace and Riverside Market, and less than 10 minutes walk from the bus interchange where we got off the airport bus.

Mixed experience of comfort of pillows. No shower cap, hooks or shelving in the bathroom. VERY thin, cheap and nasty toilet paper - unfortunately a common problem in many far from budget priced New Zealand hotels. Would certainly not impress any visitors from Europe.

The staff were exceptional, especially our waitress in the rooftop restaurant. She was informative and very personable. The food was simply amazing. Beautiful presented and tasted devine. We would highly recommend both the restaurant and hotel.

It would have been great to be able to have breakfast at the restaurant as well, but there are many places nearby, so not a big deal

The location is excellent as it is very near Riverside Market and Botanical Gardens. A good hotel to stay to explore Christchurch city center. It is also not far from the bus terminal where there are several buses to and from Christchurch airport. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. He allowed us to have a late check out upon request as we arrived late when we checked in.

I had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good. The room was clean and comfortable, the tv worked well with access to apps.

We noted that there was no reception lounge area in the ground foyer, just a couch. There was no rubber mat provided for the shower which is really important for elderly guests who might slip on the shower floor. The breakfast on the 1st morning was excellent, however, on the 2nd morning was terrible. We had been notified the day before that there would be a buffet breakfast to cater for a very large group of incoming guests. When we arrived for the buffet breakfast on this 2nd morning there was hardly much of a selection to choose from and was was on offer was cold and dried up. Very, very disappointing.

Perfect location, in city centre, neat Intercity coach stop, also near to bus stop to Airport

We loved the corner front room - nice open with the extra window. The rooftop bar/restaurant is very cool. Central location in town and can walk to everywhere. The room was nice and clean - small but still nice.

Not having parking. It’s a good walk around the corner for a parking building and wouldn’t be ideal for some to have to walk to their car this far. The bins in the city were being emptied around 4/5am. So loud as they were right outside our hotel with glass rubbish etc. not really the hotels fault - we just found it quite loud.

$10 parking across the road lots of parking in level car park. Friendly staff and beautiful restaurant on top floor . Walking distance to everywhere in town!! Our room very comfy warm heat pump a/c and soft bed with extra pillow in cuboard circle window with awesome views of cathedral square . Parking is awesome so spacious we live in Auckland and the city hotel car parking is very crammed.

Ordered desserts in the top floor restaurant and wanted to takeaway to my room . First response was no but I think someone gave the ok and I was allowed to take it to my room on level 3 so I could eat it bed. Thankyou

Very roomy rooms. When we checked in we were originally allocated a rooom with the shower over the bathtub. No problemo, we will just upgrade you to a better room with full shower. That’s great customer service.

Main restaurant upstairs wasn’t open Sunday and Monday

Fantastic central location, I could walk to all the places I wanted to go - Market Place, Ballentynes, Coffee Culture, Therapy Cafe, Scorpio Books, Shut the Front Door, Te Pae, City Art Gallery, Chch Museum (temporary mini version), the bus station and everything in between. I was delighted that the room was so spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, great bathroom with a spacious shower with most fantastic water pressure! A great rooftop restaurant bar, indoor with a great outdoor deck. Uniquely decorated, beautiful and cosy. Dinner and snack options are good and the food was delicious. Breakfast is in the same place, self service small buffet but adequate with everything you need. Cereals, juices, tea, coffee, fruit yoghurt oats, mini croissants, eggs, bacon e.t.c. Very good. Wonderful, friendly staff.

Almost nothing, just the toilet paper holder is in a tricky spot - almost behind the toilet!
