Good location a very short 2 to 5 minute walk into town Felt safe you had to use your key card that was to your room to operate the lift, so this makes it extra safe. You could do your laundry. There was a gym, sauna a very short 2 to 5 minute walk into town to sightsee. You also had a button on the side of the door to let the staff know if you didn’t want to be disturbed, and if the room needed to be made up. 

That fact of not much parking available it’s a first in first served way of things. They also have a restaurant that shears the same parking as the motel which makes it harder especially on the weekends when you’ve come back from your day trip to find no car parks and even the disability parks have been used in the cars had no disability tag in the car windows and you have to park two blocks away when you’re paid quite a bit of money to stay for eight days is ridiculous. I understand if you were staying for a weekend but for people staying longer than just a weekend should have car parking made available to them.  

Great shower. Nice bathroom. Comfortable room. Coffee machine. Easy pick up and drop off. Free Carpark on site.

Bed was too soft for my taste and sloped to the most used side. Mattress pad seemed plastic and lower sheet slid over it and rapidly became crumpled and not comfortable. Booked room as it advertised fresh milk ! But they Only supplied a few small processed pods. The man who checked me in late at night was dreadful, he seemed to have no clue what he was doing and took a very long time. Lots of bus tours stay here.

Check in went well, room was equipped as you would expect. Cant fault the room at all. Good location. Breakfast was excellent

The only thing I would question would be the price of the meals. The meals were very nice but we feel overpriced. I paid around $50 for a steak (and that wasnt the most expensive) and there was nothing special about it. and on top of that you had to pay extra for a side order of veg as well pay extra for fries. I woul dstrongly recommend you eat out. Parking was a little iffy sometimes and didnt know if we would get a spot or not.

The reservations staff were excellent. They tried to make a booking for the restaurant for us but were having trouble hearing the restauarnt staff who kept leaving the phone.

The service for the restaurant - trying to book and then arriving for reservation was not very good. Staff were busy and unfriendly. The girls doing table service were very good but the manager needs some customer service training. We booked room service whichws excellent the next day. The room was fabulous but the big bed was uncomfortable in the middle. I think we need to book a queen rather than king next time, as I think it's where the beds join together.

The hotel was very comfortable with great facilities and spacious rooms. Ours included a balcony that was super useful for us in trying to reorganize all the wet equipment we had from two weeks of fly fishing! All amenities were available and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great place to stay in Christchurch.

The cost was high because there was a music festival in town and it was extremely busy--we wouldn't normally spend this much on a hotel but had no choice!

The room was lovely with two very big king beds and enough space to accomodate the three of us. We had a very interesting view of the new Chch stadium being built and the room was really quiet. The hotel is in a great location with very easy walking distance to town for restaurants, bars, tourist activities and shopping!

Its petty i know, but we could have done with a couple more coat hangers….other than that, can’t fault Rydges Latimer Square, Christchurch.

Comfortable bed, helpful staff, great food. Excellent location, near to a range of facilities and only a 10-12 minute walk from the Christchurch Bus Exchange.

Incredibly badly designed bathroom with heaps of water flooding the bathroom floor from the shower, even with the shower head turned well away from the door. Needs an additional plastic strip on the inside or a higher steel strip in the floor.

I got in earlier than the check in time. I was quite fatigued and tired unfortunately at the time they couldn't check me in. But they managed to have my room ready 2 hours before check in time which was nice and they were so lovely when my partner came in the next day and they held on a key for him when he arrived. That was nice of them.

I did wish they had a hot tub and a pool that would have been amazing

On site restaurant breakfast for the week was terrific! It is well worth adding on to the room package. Room was good, nice bed, good shower, good balcony view Overall a good value for money package

We had a payment issue with Rydges new parking system, but it was resolved quickly by management. There was no balcony furniture? A pity as it would have been good to sit out occasionally

The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and friendly. Location was great. GAF (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and James and ALL staff encountered were a real highlight for us.

There was a lot of hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the bath. When bathing my daughter she had a clump of someone else's hair tangled up on her fingers, she and me were a bit grossed out however this would not deter us from staying again as we understand everyone is human and things can be missed.
