The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The gardens were beautifully cared for. The room was very clean. We cooked a simple meal on our first night and had nearly everything we needed. And it was a freezing day when we arrived, but the rooms heated up fast and stayed warm. My sons enjoyed borrowing DVDs from the office and the proximity to the "Dinosaur park" and the beach is fantastic.

Not a major issue, but the ceiling light was very dim and the bedside light was very bright. But generally very good.

Location was convenient for getting around the city as well as getting out of the city. It is well positioned for visiting the Royal Albatross Centre and Penguins on the headland. The supermarket was nearby. Parking was simple, safe and right outside the door. Magazines available to borrow from Reception that were new, clean & current. Bed comfy & plenty of hot water. Kitchen facilities very complete too--equipment and dining area

We appreciated the location near the beach and other area attractions. The host was very helpful in local activity recommendations and we appreciated having a kitchen where we could cook our own food.

The shower didn’t have a separate pan and any time someone showered it got the whole bathroom all wet. It also was a bit odd having the larger bed in the living room and the twin beds having their own room.

We had a wonderful stay in Adrian motel. It was the right place to stay for our last South Island trip. We booked the 2 bedroom unit and the 1 bedroom unit. Both units are very clean, kitchen is well equipped. The mattress and the linens are comfortable and surely we had a good sleep which what we needed. Both units are spacious and the area is quiet. We highly recommend this place especially for a family and we will definitely come back.

none really but maybe it’s nice to have a fan or air condition and this place will be perfect!

It was located so close to the playground and beach for the children. We were able to walk there in the evenings. I would be more than happy to stay for a longer holiday, rather than just a couple of nights.

The only thing I would have liked would be to have a bigger fridge/freezer in the kitchen. We made it work for our two night stay, but if you wanted to stay longer the little under the bench fridge wouldn’t be enough. An empty cupboard to put your food away would also be handy.

The room was large and had great facilities such as the cooking equipment and TV options. There was also a choice on pillow thickness (not many places offer thinner pillows) which was fantastic. We chose this motel as it was within walking distance of the beach and the ice rink. It was a 2min walk to the bus stop which is frequented by buses every 15mins. The staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful.

Location to activity I was doing that weekend. Staff were very friendly and willing to help in any way. Unit was clean and tidy with all we needed. Great TV channels with full sky functions. Good internet.

Our unit was close to the street and with no double glazing, had a lot of traffic noise in the evening till about midnight. I booked a single bedroom unit thinking the queen bed would be in the bedroom, but queen was in lounge area with 2 singles in bedroom! I should have checked or asked for this option. My mistake.

The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The location was nice, close to the beach and easy to get to, however the road did get quite noisy at times with cars racing up and down. We were in the end unit though, you probably wouldn’t hear it as much in the units further back, plus it was a Friday/Saturday.

spacious, comfy beds, nice big couch, and clean. Make up remover wipes were lovely to use at the end of the night. Lots of channels with Sky, nice and warm. great stay.

road noise but we are from the country so not use to cars. A couple more Utensils could have been handy but we managed with what we had. Water pressure was a bit average.

Really spacious room with well equipped kitchen! Everything was clean and well maintained. Very good location - handy to beach restaurants and access to the Albatross Centre and Penguin Place rehabilitation centre.
