Free off street parking. Very spacious rooms even the bathroom. Great bed. Useful guest laundry. We self catered as I am a coeliac. A good food store a short walk away & big supermarket a short drive. Kitchen fairly well equipped, especially scissors & small parring knife which are rare in motels but often needed. Staff were excellent & attentive.

Shower pressure poor. Not sure if whole city same. A reminder that some units are upstairs & stairs are steep. Ok for us but not every one nor those with heavy luggage.

Loved the fact that our host, Kevin, took the time to give us a street map of Dunedin as this was our first visit. He also marked out all the major tourist attractions for us (which we then visited). Very helpful as we were only there overnight. Very central location, easy to find and good parking (although we had to park on the street overnight as someone had taken our park - not the hosts fault!). Comfortable, spacious room with everything we needed. Will definitely be back.

Apart from the parking issue (wasn't the hosts fault), we have no complaints at all!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days. After a long day with flight delays, we missed the Reception open hours. With this, the owner kindly made an alternative arragement for us to collect our room keys. Upon arriving into the room, we were greeted with utter warmth (heater was turned on prior to arrival) - which I very much appreciated. Everything was nice and tidy, and Sue was very informative with getting around. Room was cozy and all amenities were perfect. The location of the motel was within our needs - and everything was within walking distance. I would definately recommend Dunedin Motel and Villas to my friends, and would not hesitate to stay here again. THANK YOU! :)

Everything met our requirements.

Room was super spacious and clean, bathroom was good size and toilet was far away from the bed. We were late checking in and they left our key out and lights and heater on in our room. Only stayed one night but would stay again!

Towel rail was quite far away from shower - would be handy to have a small hook near the shower so you don't have to walk across bathroom straight after showering. Super specific but would be nice to have TV settings unlocked to set shut off timer (we like to fall asleep to noise but don't want the TV blaring all night)

We had room 10 which was large with a kitchen and large bathroom with a heated towel rail. The bed was king size and very comfortable. There was a heater which kept the whole area warm. The bathroom had recently been renovated. We parked close to the room. The on-site laundry is a bonus. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Even though we managed to get a car park both nights right outside our room there were limited car parks however there are some down where the villas are and plenty of street parking available.

The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen area well equipped and all appliances were in good working order. Clean bathroom with a good shower, and comfortable bed. Sue greeted us warmly and showed us some things to do in the area and showed us the room (rather than just give us the keys) - a nice touch. Location is very central, mid way between city centre and the botanical gardens. Easy access to SH1 and the Otago peninsula road.

All good - Dunedin itself is being revamped with some of the roads in the main shopping area under construction but this didn’t impact us as we walked through the area rather than drove.

The host is nice and shared a local map/ direction with us.

(the 3 bedrooms house) There is only 1 bathroom + toilet in the house, we have total 4 ppl so it’s bit inconvenient. Also, the shower is right next to the bathroom door and only has shower curtain, the water might make the floor slippery. However, I know this when I booked the room so should not be a big problem. But if this could be improved, the stay will be more satisfying.

loved the layout, the 3 bedrooms suited us perfectly, 2 adults 3 children. room was so very clean, parking right out front and an excellent spot right in town. the sofas and bar stools where perfect and comfy. great super hot shower and bathroom just perfect and also very clean. also rooms where so warm and toasty, heat pump was great. great fridge and kitchen facilities, though a double coffee plunger would have been better- for two people. staff where lovely and rooms cleaned very nicely every day

beds were very good size and lovely linen and pillows, but they do need a soft topper under the sheet on top of mattress as the were SO firm my hips where aching by the end of the visit. Rooms dispite being very clean and tidy where also quite dreary, only one picture in the whole apartment and no personality, just lots of blank walls. I felt like I needed to get out side and see greenery or colour. also there was nowhere to hang up coats or put shoes inside the unit. they weather was awful and our coats where always wet and our shoes. maybe some coat hooks or a bench by the front door. we just hang the coats on the doors in the end.

Easy to find. Easy to access. Able to park outside accommodation. Accommodation on ground floor. Room was very clean, comfortable. Roads at both ends of car par to access making it easy to get around city by car. Short walking distance to city centre and other attractions. On arrival ‘checking in’ was very easy. Sue ( Motel host) was extremely friendly and helpful, giving me lots of advice. I was so impressed with everything I booked another night. The room had all facilities required for my stay. Throughout my 3 day stay I Found Sue and Kevin ( Hosts) to be helpful and always smiling making my stay a very pleasant experience.

Central location, close to restaurants and shopping. Spacious room had great facilities. Brief summary of the local environment by staff was very welcome and helped us orientate quickly. Great to have Netflix on a good sized TV.

Parking was limited. Basin in bathroom tiny. Noisy outside in the early hours from pedestrians going past. This meant we couldn’t have a window open, so it got a bit stuffy.
