I loved it was so close to the city centre. I loved that it had a separate bedroom for us with a bed in the lounge for my teenage daughter. The host was so friendly. I loved there was a mirror in the bedroom as well as the bathroom so that if someone was using the bathroom you could still do your hair and makeup in the bedroom mirror.

I don’t like sleeping an electric blanket the cords are uncomfortable so I had to strip the bed to take it off and then remake the bed when I arrived and was tired from a long drive. Especially since it’s summer it would be great if there was an option to ask if you wanted one. I think that the outdoor furniture was old and needed a freshen up.

Car park area unsuitable for bigger cars. Didn't like the street facing room as too noisy, next time would like to be on the inner side of the building, as although the view onto the street was great while getting ready to go out for dinner and having breakfast in morning it was too noisy for sleep during the night with loud party going pedestrians on their way home yelling etc Cleaning was not quite spotless in bathroom and kitchen but not unsatisfactory...dining not clean, and shower & basin had hair

The one bedroom apartment was huge and very clean. Well set up and comfortable. We could walk into town within twenty minutes and even managed to find a large supermarket. Staff were polite and attentive. Onsite parking was fine. There is a 24 hour convenience store two minutes away.

Nothing about the accommodation was unsatisfactory but we did leave a day earlier, forfeiting the fee, because the weather was awful and we found Dunedin dirty and run down. The fact that the whole centre of town was being dug up only added to the ugliness. Not the fault of Owen Motel, but it did spoil our impression of what I remembered as an attractive university city.

A really lovely Dunedin style motel. We loved the Villa look of it, and the old fashioned feel. The beds were comfy, everything was well set out, and the rooms were VERY clean. The kitchen was good, and the bathroom lovely. The guy that welcomed us and gave us the key was very nice and friendly. We were glad we stayed at Owens Motel because it gave us the real 'Dunedin' feel. Great location.

Everything was perfect except for very noisy squeaky floor boards in the hallway. There were drunk university students walking past all night, (which is out of the motels control, but was very disappointing as they woke us at least 3 times.)

The motel room was an unexpected surprise. Very spacious, with a separate bedroom and bathroom. Really good kitchenette with a proper table and chairs for meals. Comfortable couch for watching TV and very relaxing. Location was quite good and fairly quiet. Short walk down to the corner to a little supermarket for supplies. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. Recommended for short or longer stay.

After a long journey we had to get there the Owner was welcoming and the booking in/out process was simple. Handy location within walking distance to a range of food options. Room was clean and tidy. For those people not used to city noises they placed us in a room away from the road and it was it was suitable for us. Had great sleep. Gardens look nice too. Would recommend staying there again.

The owner was very welcoming. I had a ground floor room which was like an apartment,very roomy,separate kitchen,large bathroom and separate bedroom with a very comfy bed. It was spotless. Perfect for a single or couple. I also had my show pup with me in a dog crate. Near the motorway and a Night and Day store is about 5 min away. Loved that I had a dedicated patk right outside the room. I had a great sleep.

No downsides, although I could hear the people walking upstairs over the roof when I was in the lounge

This accommodation is eminently suitable for an overnight stay when travelling.

These premises are rather aged and have had good upkeep. It is time to redo the doors and door frames and skirting boards with a new coat of paint, Otherwise this place is well presented.

fantastic location within easy walking distance to University and CBD. really spacious units with super roomy kitchenette and lounge area. it felt more like staying in a small house than a motel unit. large tv and modern sofa - large kitchen table and extra beds that were also super comfortable. great shower and roomy bathroom. Amazing value for money.

loved everything about this motel

This little hotel in the middle of the city is well positioned. Very well kept for and very clean, very comforatble and secure. The beds were delightfully comfortable and the facilites were better than we expected. Very quiet too.

I can fault the property on anything really, they did everything very well, and they were lovely managers.
