The beds and pillows were comfortable, room had heat pump, shower had good pressure

Service wasn’t the best, had no were to hang up room service sign, so hung it on window latch to be visible. Unfortunately the room didn’t get serviced. Mentioned this issue, plus the outside light shined directly into the room making it seem like daylight, early morning (1am onwards) and hard to get to sleep. Got them to remove light bulb in the end since we didn’t control light switch.

Two problems that I would have notified you of if there was staff around when I returned the key. 1. The drain of the hand basin is almost blocked, it drains very slowly. 2. The fan heater in the bathroom is clogged with dust, to an extent that it turns off after a short while due to overheating triggering the safety switch. These safety switches are not designed for this repeated operation. Their function is to warn that the heater is over heating due to air flow restriction.

Check in was easy, manager showed us to our room. (2 doors to get through so room felt secure) Room was spacious and clean. Has a/c, iron and ironing board. Nice balcony with seating. (we didnt use this as it looks onto the main road so a little over looked for our preference) High speed internet. Comfortable leather sofa and comfortable bed. Guest laundry (chargeable) available after 2pm. Housekeeping only comes when you ask for it which we really liked. Toiletries and tea/coffee were available in reception for guests to take at their convenience.

(not a fault of motel but George St seemed to get loud in the evenings from Thurs - Sat with drunk/loud people outside) not a lot of parking

Very spacious room and comfortable bed. Good facilities to cook a meal in microwave. Big bathroom. Friendly staff.

The room always smelt a little musty when we went in but it didn't bother us once we were inside. We had arranged to leave our luggage at reception for a few hours when we checked out. But when we went to check out there was no one around. It took some time and several phone calls to sort out.

Really nice accomodation and felt spacious. I have a Ranger Ute and had no issue with parking it so I am not sure why other people complained re parking. The option of having noodles, cool drink that you can collect from reception is welcomed! We had a few cool drinks!

Netflix mentioned at reception but no way of accessing Netflix on TV. Guy behind counter had no idea what to do and the manager wasn’t there. Not a drama for us, but just don’t mention you have something that you don’t.

Great large room, clean and tidy

Had problems with car parking as it's a real squeeze to get out of the vehicle parking space wasn't wide enough, there also appeared not enough parking space for each unit. My vehicle ended up with a couple of dents on my door. I did try to park outside on the road but drove around for 20minutes and found no parking only bus stops. A concert was on so maybe they are not usually that full.

The unit is in a very handy location a good central part of Dunedin. Having stayed there before we new what to expect and it didn't disappoint us.

We found the shower had very strong water pressure compared to what we are used and found it hard to get used to.

The room was spacious, the beds were super comfortable and being in the city centre was very convenient as we were there for our sons volleyball tournament and with it being on the main road and our room right in front it was nice and quiet due to the sound proof rooms. Highly recommend

The rooms were well-maintained and clean with good showers and toilets. Chris was very welcoming and got us anything that we needed. This motel is well positioned to walk easily into downtown and good restaurants. Off-street car parking was an excellent feature.

Owner was nice even when we arrived around midnight. She waited for us to arrive, brought us personally to our unit and helped closed up the windows. It’s environment is very pleasant. She graciously allowed us to check out later.

No lift. Have to carry the luggage up the stairs. Need strong arms.
