Great location to shops and eateries. Very central location. Seems to be updated and was clean!

Good soundproofing but the only downside was the hospital helicopter which is very loud and one night was constant. Also be aware it's close to students who can make a lot of noise during the night as George st is a main road. We were there at a busy time (new uni student arrivals) so coped a bit of street/party noises. Other than that it's fine. It definitely would depend when you go (around mid Feb is a very busy time and hard to get accommodation as parents come with them to help settle the new 1st years in)

We booked at the George St Motel because it was close to the hospital where I had an appointment. The location was perfect, we were able to walk to the hospital (10 minutes flat walk) instead of having to find & pay for parking. It is an older-style motel that has been modernised & really well maintained. Our 1 bedroom apartment was spacious, warm, super clean & had a great shower. We liked having a separate bedroom & the comfy king bed & double glazing meant we slept well. There was a well equipped kitchen but we hardly used it because a 5 minute walk up the road there was loads of options for eating out. The TV had Sky & we were able to log into Netflix with our own login details. Staff were friendly & obviously know how to do hospitality well!

Great stay close to the city of Dunedin. The appartment has plenty of space, is good to access and also free parking space is provided. The check-in was with a nice chat and I received valuable information for the area. You can walk to the shops and malls, also the way to the supermarkets is close. I used also the laundry and it was good The Dunedin pinguin colony was also something I will associate with this stay and this was a fantastic experience

The parking lot was crowded, but in order to give everyone a spot for his car that is necessary

These are lovely, spacious, modern apartments, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is great, just a few blocks from lots of restaurants, the university, and the wonderful Otago natural history museum. We walked everywhere around Dunedin from here. The off-street parking was very welcome. A good value for the price.

Our bed (in Room 20) was very soft; we both had backaches from sleeping on it. It felt comfortable at first but didn't have enough support. Also, having a couple of cereal bowls would be useful. The only bowls in the cupboard were very shallow pasta bowls.

Wow! We were blown away by this accommodation. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We were 14 people traveling together for a sports event and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The 4BR space especially exceeded our expectations but we had a combo of 1br and studio rooms as well that were equally great. The location is perfect as there is free parking and you can easily walk into town for everything you need.

As soon as we stepped into the room it felt cosy and comfortable. 10 -15 minutes walk to centre of town to supermarkets and restaurants, cafes etc. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Parking on site.

Thursday and Friday nights we stayed and we had the top unit at the front and the students walking home from town into the small hours of the morning can be noisy. Ask for a room at the back. Though I slept thru it all on the Friday night.

The 4 brm we had was Large airy and bright - lovely beds and furniture- great for a larger group or family/families

There needed to be spare “woollen” blankets to put on the beds . The mink ones are pretty but slide off. Or maybe the small little mini column heaters. Great heat pumps but for privacy closed bedroom doors mean its very chilly in winter. Once I found my electric blanket it was toastier.

Living, sleeping and cooking area provided, able to close the bedroom door when cooking. It's a bit far, but possible to walk to the Octagon downhill. $3 for washing and $3 for drying machine, but only 1 set, so they are constantly in use.

Very loud neighbourhood due to student population, can hear shouting and traffic constantly during daytime, No AC but gets cool enough at night. No housekeeping, just provided extra towels and amenities if needed.

The room was well appointed with everything I needed for my stay including good facilities for cooking, a table to work at, and a comfortable place to relax and watch tv. Elsie was super helpful and friendly. On the day I left, I had forgotten to take my keyring and multi-tool. She contacted me as soon as she noticed this and then offered to post it to my next port of call. This was very much appreciated.

We were return guests to the George St Motel. We loved the location - close to the hospital & town & lots of eateries, the spacious, well equipped apartments, the comfy beds & the great shower. The staff are really friendly & it was nice that the lady checking me in remembered me from last time. We have already booked for our next hospital appointment :o)

It was all great, but if there was any issue it would be the amount of light coming into the unit from the outdoor lights at night.
