We had a good size room, plenty of storage, comfortable beds and great lighting. -All of the staff that we dealt with were lovely and helpful. -The outdoor and indoor pools were great for the kids as well as the playground and arcade. -The location was close to town and easy to get to.

The shower in our bathroom had no dip so water spread everywhere as the only barrier was a curtain. Room 506 -The spa needed a clean, it stunk and the water was murky. -The fish tacos lacked flavour and the chocolate cheesecake was small and was more like a rich chocolate slice. Not worth the $41 paid for this room service (Sorry!)

The pool was pleasant and the spa was good.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. There were no eggs and we had to ask and wait for more. The rest of the breakfast was a bit cold. As we had found a menu online saying a la carte we were expecting that and it would have been preferable. We also got back from breakfast and found our outside door open when it had been locked when we left. Fortunately we had left the chain on so no one got in. Not sure what happened. I also feel a bit of a warning would have been helpful that the cycle race was starting at 10 from the hotel. It was tricky getting anyway near reception to check out due to all the cyclists using the front entrance for shade.

x17 of our family stayed here over the weekend as Solway Park was my daughters choice of location to celebrate her 5th Birthday. The kid friendly resort has always been a getaway favourite since my parents first brought me here as a 4 year old 30+ years ago.

The overall size of the resort & activities keeps decreasing. From the good old days of playing on the Obstacle Course or having a round on the golf course. To the fun of the Driving Range now closed down. Outdoor Pool was unavailable to use also the option of a Private spa pool has sadly been removed.

Dining room staff...

The booking in receptionists were not friendly or inviting ....found a cocroach in the bathroom ...outdoor chairs and tables could be updated with shade affordable shade sales for a little sun cover ...our last stay last year we had our number plates on the car taken had to get new ones before leaving town and when I mentioned the situation and emailed what we had been through we got no interest or reply and again the receptionist was uninviting.and not interested...

Our room was very cozy, clean and comfy. The pool and gym area was very clean, the pool was a nice temp. Breakfast was delicious and options were great, table set up was spacious. Great place to stay, although we had the fire alarm and had to evacuate the building it was a good thing to know there was plenty of ways to exit, and the alarm was clear and loud, no one could sleep through that lol safety first.

Just a minor thing that can't be helped really as they are located on the main road, traffic can be busy to enter or exit.

Everything was up to our expectation. This include the new gym equipments!

Our trip was to also celebrate my partners' birthday. Having dined there in each of our previous trips we looked forward to dinner there on Saturday and Sunday. Understandably, the restaurant was booked on Saturday due to big group that night. However on Sunday, the restaurant was closed. Instead, we were offered dinner from the bar menu. The receptionist was somewhat surprised that the restaurant was closed on Sunday night.

Loved the venue, booked a Family unit for space. Maybe should have booked simular unit overlooking internal grassed area etc. Huge venue! WOW!

Unit one, ciggy butts, tree rubbish, blow vac required back and front of unit, but in saying that maintenance lawns were being done Wed and Thurs 18th and 19th when we were there. Also, we ordered same food two nights in a row, it was top night one, 2nd night, wrong order came out, but like not the same top quality.

Convenient location in Masterton with an excellent swimming pool and spa. Almost a motel layout with car parking immediately outside the bedroom, and no passing traffic.

The air conditioning in the ceiling of the dining room was very fierce, especially when it was cool and raining outside. Asked to be moved and ended up under an identical air con outlet. Eventually asked manager if it could be turned down, and it was.

Loved our room - was amazing to be upgraded to the honeymoon suite as it was our wedding night! It was very kind of the staff to do this and made us feel special and the suite was fantastic!

We paid for Breakfast included in our stay which was a tiny bit of a let down - only the wait being very long for more food as there was only one chef so when we did get to Breakfast their was only 1 Egg and a few selections of cereals.

Had the executive suite...spacious, tastefully decorated...spacious!...immaculately clean. A TV in bedroom and another in lounge was very helpful. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and double basins separate shower and was crisp white and clean...with double access from lounge and bathroom. Best room I've ever had in Masterton. Well done Copthorne!!

Room service took awhile. But was great when it did arrive! Parking was a little problematic but only because it was full to capacity with lots on in Masterton that weekend. A microwave in room would've been good.
