Rustic and beautiful. So close to the National park. Peaceful. Breakfast was so good. Minos! I mean minos... Come on! What a guy. It's such a lovely place to stay. Wake up to birdsong and great coffee. Had such a wonderful couple of days here, I wanted to move in.

Not much at all. I didn't get to meet the dogs and that was the greatest shame..Would like more cheese at breakfast as there's a cheese shop. I like cheese, Bathroom wasn't perfect, could maybe be a bit more modern, a bit cleaner but that's it really.

Large room and king bed, freshly painted, double glazing, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, although self serve, the food was very fresh, bakery quality. Loved the country atmosphere and welcome.

Shower Door great fairly modern, but rest of bathroom dated and rather small, loud fan in the bathroom when the light was turned on. Again the heater in the room, when using with a fan setting it was loud. To cut done noise, turn the fan off. Noticed although kitchen very clean, the extractor fans above cooktop could use a deep clean as not to welcome any unwanted critters (insects).

The owners put their whole heart into this lodge! The grounds are kept well with fruit trees, herbs and chickens on the property which provide for the included breakfast. The cooking facilities are amazing with all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you need in the shared space. Close to Kaiteriteri and with amazing views to the hills where the sun sets.

Might be just a personal preference but the cat, (referred to as assistant manager ;) ) was on the kitchen bench and on the breakfast table in the shared space, which I don’t like. Having it around to pet and cuddle is great, but not up on the bench.

Our stay at Eden's Edge Lodge was amazing. The B&B is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and a highlight was watching the sunset from the terrace. Had a wonderful "help yourself" breakfast, with fresh eggs from the hosts' chickens, fresh milk, freshly made scones and muffins. There were also juices, bread, yoghurt and cereals. The kitchen has everything you need, and you can even chop fresh herbs from their garden for your meals. The place has its own little cinema with Netflix and many, many DVDs, and an arcade machine from the 90s with 2500 different games. Also they have cute, and social cats! This was without doubt the best accommodation we had during our 3 weeks road trip through both North and South Island, we felt very welcomed by the hosts and so relaxed in the amazing nature around this place. I hope to go back some time in the future and stay many more days.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

What a find!! Spacious twin room with ensuite in delightful lodge handily located near Riwaka. Tea-making facilities in the room, but also access to a well equipped communal kitchen, dining area and generously sized lounge. A designated TV lounge and laundry are available for guests use as well. Breakfast is included in the room price of $130 with choices of new laid eggs, freshly baked bread and pastries, home made jams and spreads, along with a great assortment of fruit from the owners' garden. Got to be the very best deal in 16 days of travel through the Northern part of the South Island.

Absolutely nothing to dislike at this delightful property.

Everything was amazing, the room and the bathroom were spacious and sparkling clean... The common are is super cozy and have a complete kitchen, but the best part is they have for breakfast homemade jams from their own fruit trees (so delicious that I beg to them to sell me a Fig Jam, luckily they did), great pastry from the local bakery, and eggs from their kitchen... And it is only 10 minutes from Kaiteriteri... Don't miss seeing the sunset from their garden, while having a muffin (if is any leftl.

That we did not stay longer

The price was very good. Room was very comfortable and clean. The self-serve breakfast was fantastic, and great connecting with the other guests over the meal. Lovely touches like fresh eggs from their own chickens, fresh herbs from the garden, a selection of home-made jams and pastries, scones and sourdough bread. Well-organised kitchen and dining area, everything had been thought of. A media room with DVD's, video games and board games for fun and relaxation. Several outdoor areas to sit and have a meal or read. An unexpectedly pleasant experience!

Location was outside of the town, well down a semi-industrial street. Not within walking distance of any facilities in the town. The room was quite small, with a tiny table and 2 wooden chairs - not really comfortable for relaxing in the room.

The hosts, Eric & Barb were wonderful taking care of so many of our needs. The kitchen was well equipped. The pastry was excellent, the location was like a garden of Eden. They have two BBQ grills for your use and a perfect place to sit with a glass of wine watching the sun set. They provide fresh fruit everyday from their own trees, and French presses for coffee. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place in the area.

There is absolutely nothing not to like here.

Staff and guests were friendly, plus I liked that reception stayed open late, which made it convenient for checking in if running late. I loved the free breakfast, fresh milk, fresh eggs and fresh fruit from the gardens. The environment was clean and peaceful, and location was perfect for those who want to explore the Abel Tasman national park, but also wanted to be closer to shops etc.

The only downside to the stay was that the walls were very thin and there was a couple next door who would chat non-stop from 6am, therefore impossible to sleep past that time (I am not a light sleeper).

Super friendly and committed owners - offering a wonderful facility with enthusiasm and quality. The showers were BEAUTIFUL, especially after a wet day on the Abel Tasman track. It's very conveniently located, their breakfast is phenomenal, communal kitchen has everything one would need AND more...fresh produce straight from the apple tree

The walls are fairly thin so you can hear your neighbouring guest e.g. coughing. My solution would be to tramp harder so you sleep better...AND appreciate absolutely everything else Barb and Eric's place offers you
