The property and the ambiance were amazing.

While check in, I am asked to pay a bond of $200/- per day per room. This was strange and first ever experience. The Booking.com or the hotel didn’t notify me regarding the bond that I have to pay while check in. What if I didn’t had enough money or a credit card. Horrible. If I knew about this, definitely I would not have booked this property. In addition to that, the restaurant staff was very rude and had an unprofessional and unpleasant attitude, as if I have gone to take some free food.

The amazing and beautiful scenery both inside and out. The concierge (Dimitri) an amazing caring and incredible person. You have a devoted person who's aurora just protrudes hospitality and projects your business ten fold.

Only 1 dislike. On arrival we were completely dismayed by where the actual entrance to building was. There was no signage at all that directed you from enrty to where the reception was, that was very stressful as my wife had to park up and walk around to find out where we were, but otherwise our stay was absolutely wonderful.

Relaxed stay - humble environment - i hear an up grade is coming, good and we will be back location - perfect - close to beach, A1 food - staff did very well chief did well - fresh and selection nice - meat always under cook not over cook we enjoyed our meals and chose to eat in at dinner for an extra night instead of out in town Property has a cool vibe and certainly carries some history - sitting in public areas was relaxing and enjoyable - suggestion - replace trees outside with NZ Natives - this will look very cool and go along with treaty grounds next door

Shower - water pressure needed up grading i hear this is on the cards so cool

Location, views, the spa and pools, open balcony on the room, the restaurant for breakfast was very, food was excellent but very pricey considering the high cost of the room already.

Price was a bit high for the size of the room, the pictures made it look like there was going to be alot more space, breakfast was quite highly priced, should have been included in the cost for the room. Also very long walk with luggage to room 735.

Our room sadly had no view but was a nice room with balcony. The location of the hotel is lovely. The pool was very nice.

Lack of view out of room window. A bit too walled in by the vegetation. The spa was sadly out of order, which was disappointing at peak holiday time. There was a lack of lounging chairs around the pool. The parking/loading drop off areas were inadequate for the number of cars needing this.

Me and my family loved the pools, the spa and everything to do with the outdoors, tennis and also the walk around the area. We even loved the part where you could go visit the museum but its abit pricey. I wasn't sure if there was a massage parlour but I'm happy to know that we enjoyed every moment of copthrone. We got to take our own food, drinks and snacks to have in our room. The service is what was expected for the housekeepers, they were nice staff.

Well first of all we didn't like the fact you had to walk all the way to laundry for a microwave when there is plenty of space in the cupboards below the cups and glasses for a microwave. We didn't like the fact the microwave can't stay open 24/7 for those that like to have midnight warm snacks. We also dislike the prices you pay for dinner and for the kids when there is nothing nice for them to eat. No hot chips, no ham, no nuggets, no chicken nibbles, no jelly, no finger foods for the kids. The price you pay for dinner is something to think about. There wasn't even any oysters, crab or crayfish.

The resort was comfortable and had everything that you needed. The SOS spa was amazing and I probably had one of the best massages ever. It was great to have laundry facilities and the pool was lovely to relax in after a long day. the bed was comfortable and having Sky TV was a plus when we wanted to have a night in.

The spa was often full in evenings with children, I think an additional adults only spa would be good as there was a large number of cold pools. It was also hard to get an outdoor lounger chair by the pool, more of these would have been great. we also weren’t overly impressed by the buffet, both left feeling like the food was average and had sore stomachs.

The staff were lovely. My first point of call the young man said Kia ora and then Ka Kite. The Catering staff greeted us and gave good eye contact when saying good morning for breakfast and were patient with us at Dinner as we arrived at 8pm and dining closed at 8.30pm. The view was a million dollar view and the Pool was way more than a pool - it was huge!! The hot pool we loved. The Water falls and rocks gave it a Paradise feel.

The toilet cover had a couple of marks on it. The carpet edge in the corner by the office desk had a dead cockroach.

Breakfast was value for money so good👍

We stayed for 2 nights and requested rooms to be closed as we had kids but they were farther as can be possible. Aircon of one room was not working on first night and children had hard time in sleeping as it was so hot. Though It was resolved ext day. Moreover hotels pools and spa is the most attractive thing but both days spa was closed and we couldn't use it

Hands down the spa 😁

When booking our room through booking.com we didn't realise that we had booked a room as well as breakfast. When we arrived we asked to cancel breakfast but was told we couldn't and to make things worse breakfast was not nice at all the bacon was over cooked pastries and breads felt and tasted old I enjoyed eating the cereals more than anything. We also noticed our bedding had stains it was obvious that our bedding was not changed.
