Location was perfect, good proximity to CBD without being right on top of the central city noise etc. Views across the lake were perfect. Cleanliness and comfort of rooms was really good.

The steep climb up the stairs to the rooms was challenging. Was ok for our group but older folk or people with bad joints etc would struggle. Signage to locate the reception could be better placed as is tucked up around a corner on the 2nd level. Our room had a strong odour of curry upon arrival (a moteliers curse), once the microwave was used it did disappear. The TV could be problematic as when other guests would select their viewing, ours would change to what they were trying to watch, possibly caused by universal remotes.

This was a perfect location for us. It is slightly outside the main part of Queenstown, but with in an easy 15 minute walk. The room had a lovely view and had everything we needed. There was a small kitchenette, comfortable inside chairs and table, a small outside deck with two chairs. There was ample electrical outlets, and the bathroom had a heated towel rack and good heater. The room heater was efficient too.

It was not a problem for us; however, there is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow and steep. When we checked in there was a nice offer to help with luggage which could be helpful for some. The heater in the room was efficient but it was a ceiling wall mount and the air blew down on the bed. We just turned it off at night.

Very comfortable, immaculately renovated and well equipped room with an outstanding view of the lake from the balcony, which we greatly enjoyed. Good position within walking distance of town (20 minutes) and a bus stop right outside. Plenty of parking space on site.

A bit noisy from traffic on Frankton Road, although, with the balcony door closed, it was not really a problem. We are quite elderly and it was tough dragging our luggage up two flight of steps to the room, with nobody to help.

We were a family with 3 kids, it was a perfect setting at Lake View Motel. Quality of renovation and attention to details speaks a lot about refined taste of the owner. Loved the cleanness. View of the lake from the room windows is perfect. It’s just 1.5 km from town centre. Kitchen with all the required appliances available for light cooking and eating together as family.

While it’s really one of the best places I experienced, however there is always some room for improvement. I would recommend the staff to be more available at reception desk. Provide a ramp for trolly bags to easily move up to rooms so guests don’t have to carry luggage bags all the way up.

I had an amazing view of the lake, visible from bed and also from the balcony seating. Received some Indian tea on arrival which I enjoyed on the balcony. Town centre was only a scenic and mostly flat 20 min walk away, very pleased that I stayed here.

The TVs were not really useable because seemingly they all share the same remote frequency so neighbouring rooms would change channels and volume for each other. I resorted to using my own devices.

This hotel was great value for more money. Central location off the main road to Queenstown. The view is stunning. The bathroom is modern and clean. I would be happy to stay here again. Parking was reasonably easy. Potentially a little tight if you have a large vehicle.

The window fixture in my room was very old and couldn't close properly meaning there was a fair bit of traffic noise coming through the window. I fortunately had earplugs but could be an issue for people that don't travel with those.

Loved our stay at this lovely motel - everything was perfect, especially the view!!! The sunrises and sunsets were the highlight of the stay! The staff - Jass and Abhi - were wonderful, hard-working and kind people. The place is spotless, and has everything you need. Also, a walking distance to the town, and the bus stop is right by the property - easy to arrange pick-ups for the tours and we also took a bus to Arrowtown, so easy! Highly recommended!!!

The views are just breathtaking. Any room you get here, you will have views from the lake and the Remarkables. If you're a solo traveler, or doesn't have a car, it is just a 20-30 minutes walk from the city center. The room is clean and tidy, the shower has an amazing pressure, and the size of the room is really good. Highly recommend this Motel. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Queenstown.

Fantastic view of the lake. Lovely room and good facilities.

30-40 min walk from City Centre. Some rooms were located up quite steep steps so can be difficult to navigate with luggage. When we arrived for check in the office was locked with a sign saying to call a number but I didn’t have a NZ SIM with calls so I couldn’t do this without incur international call charges. However did not take us long to find a member a staff and they were friendly and helpful.

The view from the bedrooms is amazing, lake and mountains. We stayed in the family room four adults and a child and thought it was very good value for Queenstown. Nice warm showers with a decent bathroom extraction fan. The receptionist was friendly and offered to help us with bags as there are quite a few steps to the room.

For the price for this many adults and a child was very happy, maybe some parts of the room could be updated but really it was good.
