We loved the view, the location, the room, but above everything the amazing hosts. Vicky was very prompt in responding to any messages. She really went above and beyond to help us deciding on our tour plan. We almost cancelled our original plan to driving to Christchurch via Fox Glacier due to road closure at Haast and was thinking of extending our stay at Earnslaw Lodge instead. Even though they had room available, Vicky advised us to continue the trip to Fox Glacier and also gave us a very informative book for planning. It is for her we continued to that route and had memorable road trip back to Christchurch. Thank you Vicky. For the lodge, we stayed at the lake view studio. The room is spacious, the view from the room is priceless. Also, the lodge is only 15 mins walk away from the centre. We found it very convenient as did not have to worry about car parks in the centre.

location and price are what makes this place. I booked last minute and couldn’t find a lot in QT that was in our budget. this place however did and has huge rooms with a stunning view of the lake. room was well equipped with free parking, cutlery crockery, glasses, microwave, a good sized fridge, a balcony and good heating. don’t expect the Ritz.. it’s an older property, clean and tidy and a bit retro with plenty of space and ticked all the boxes on what I was looking for. even tho it’s right on the main road as you enter QT, there is almost zero road noise.

nothing really.. there was a damp smell to the room, perhaps from a past guest but the reception were responsive on getting it sorted and were apologetic.

Very handy location, CBD all in walking distance. The balcony with the view over the lake was nice and the room was large and clean and you had everything you needed. Definitely good if you want a more budget option.

We were almost scammed as someone compromised their booking account. I called the accommodation and they said that they were aware and I should ignore booking messages. I wish they had reached out proactively as I nearly gave a away bank details. They did, however, sent a message about the scam afterwards. Unfortunately they road works were quite loud and full on, nothing that can be done about it though.

Short walk to central Queenstown. Free parking for rental vehicle to get to the ski fields. Very spacious studio apartment with great views of the Remarkables. We discovered some amazing wineries which opened up a whole new aspect of Queenstown and will be coming back in Spring / Summer to explore.

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was as expected or better. We were intending to catch the bus to the ski fields but this aspect of Queenstown hadn't yet recovered since COVID and we were actually far better off renting a vehicle for our group of 6.

The room was very big and comfortable, it was great to come back to after a long day of enjoying everything Queenstown has to offer. It was also warm and quiet. There were some night roadworks outside of the lodge and I couldn’t barely hear them when the windows were closed. The staff were incredibly helpful with suggestions of where to go and how to get there by public transport.

The rooms need some updating, especially the bathroom. Some of the fixtures in the shower were a bit loose and the shower head was very low (I’m 5’8” and had to crouch a little).

Great view from the lounge. Connecting rooms 19 and 20 very convenient to get in and out of and unload car. Beds a little soft. Staff excellent and helpful. Location good. Price very high for a motel but Queenstown in general is overpriced.

Kitchen items weren't cleaned even though put away in cupboards (lip marks on wine glasses etc). Mattresses very soft which we personally don't like. No way of opening connecting door when my child accidentally closed it and staff had gone for the day and didn't answer emergency number. Lot of construction on the main road it is in but it also accesses a back street which is quiet and a great alternate exit.

Location was great as it was across Copthorne Hotel bus stop where we got picked up for our Milford Sound Cruise. Steve was kind and check in was smooth. Car park is provided right outside our room. Lodge is about 20min away walking distance from city centre. Basic bathroom shampoo and body wash provided. Towels and manchester clean. Hairdryer provided. Toaster, kettle, few basic cutleries and mini fridge provided. Tea and coffee in room. Room had access to main road from sliding door, so good to open the doors during the day as it can get very warm and dark in room. Highlight was going to the main balcony (from the common lounge) and watching the sunset and sunrise - amazing and just absolutely beautiful.

Wish the shower had proper glass doors or better barrier other than the shower curtain as the water was inevitably getting everywhere in the bathroom whenever we’d use the shower. Fan in the bathroom would also be ideal other than the window.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a spacious room which was well laid out and very light. The view from the recreation/community room is beautiful. The hotel is quietly located on the road to the airport: It is a great advantage that the bus to the airport stops literally across the road. The difference between bus (5 NZD) and shuttle (35 NZD) and taxi (a lot more) is very big for a distance of 12 km at most.

It became clear that there was a certain shortage of cleaning staff, which the receptionist agreed. This is a minus because we were not informed about it in advance. Staff shortages in all kinds of industries and services have been felt everywhere since the "end" of the corona pandemic, in New Zealand, but certainly also in Europe where we come from and which we have therefore learned to understand.

1. We requested for a lake view room and the hotel did provide a room with unobstructed view of the lake and mountains. Fantastic view of Lake Waikatipu with the background of snow capped mountains. 2. Room was large and had several furniture, more than the normal standard furniture given in hotel rooms. 3. Heating for room was very efficient. Despite the cold weather, we had a comfortable temperature inside our room.

Did not have a covered car park and found it uncomfortable when it rains.
