We really enjoyed our stay at Balmoral Lodge! It felt very comfortable and was much better than staying at a generic hotel. The bed was so comfortable and there was a lot of space in the room as well as a clothes and shoe rack, which was super handy to help us settle in. The muffins and choccies left everyday by Cis were a lovely gesture and much care was taken to prepare our room each day. Very homely vibe and sitting in the lounge or outside to soak up the view was another bonus! Cis was also happy to help with our washing and where to park our rental car. Would recommend Balmoral Lodge to anyone and would stay here again! Thank you!

The walk back up to the lodge was quite steep! But most of Queenstown is quite steep, and we actually came to enjoy the burn of the walks back up after indulging in so much food and drink during our stay!!

The B&B hotel is in a great location, with an unobstructed view of the beautiful scenery of Queenstown; the check-in experience is excellent, the landlady is very hospitable, provides free snacks and a variety of wines, and the wine is quite delicious; we are from China and cannot communicate with the landlady My wife communicates directly with words, and the two parties can only interact through body language. The landlady also helped me provide me with toothache medicine to relieve the pain. I am very grateful to the landlady. I will always remember this pleasant trip to Queenstown.

Fantastic views from the room which was a wonderful sight to wake up to in the morning. At times we relaxed as we sat and watched the comings and goings of the various watercraft on the lake or the hang gliders drifting down from the sky lift. Cosy velour bath robes added a nice touch. Lovely garden with roses adding colour to the well maintained terraces. We walked into town which was downhill. Cab/ Uber were readily available to take us back to Balmoral Lodge. A car would have been handy but not essential. Cis was a great host and very welcoming!

tea/coffee supplied & a muffin supplied for your breakfast perhaps the availability to use a micro wave/toaster would be good however not very far into town for excellent meals Ciss our host was excellent in making us feel welcome and was only too willing to help as was her staff Thank you all for making our stay at the lodge fantastic regards Anne & George

The only part i did not like was driving my car out on the road as the local traffic came around the corner and down the hill much to quick for me their being a bad blind spot their with three roads meeting on the corner

The view! Beautiful to wake up to and end the night to! Pictures are what you get. Staff all very friendly and able to help with any request. We asked where we could do our laundry in town and to our surprise they were able to do our laundry for us and left everything dried and folded in our room. Great recommendations and knowledge of the area. The shared lounge area with complimentary drinks and nibbles was a nice touch. Gardens well maintained and outside are a nice place to relax. We would stay here again for the views and hospitality!

We didn't mind the walk that everyone mentions back up hill to the property, it is Queenstown so everyone has to walk up hill! If you want a view you'll make the sacrifice :)

Our stay was fantastic, the room was cosy and spotless and cleaned each day. Our host was wonderful and friendly and absolutely loved the little dog :) I had some leftovers from a restaurant that she even let me heat up in her kitchen the next day, she really does open up her home to you. Neighbourhood is quiet and you feel very safe. There's a lovely room with nibbles and brandy/wine that is open to guests with a great view looking over Queenstown. Parking available on the drive. Milk in the fridge for tea/coffee in the room plus some lovely large muffins.

Quite a steep walk uphill back to the property from town but that is just Queenstown for you. Just be wary also when backing off the drive as it's on a corner and a bit hard to see traffic coming round. But clutching at straws here, the property was fantastic.

The room had an absolutely breathtaking view and I already miss waking up to it. The location was great, just a short walk into town. There is a hill to go up so if mobility is an issue, just grab an Uber or cab. We realized it was a giant house where everyone had their own room after we arrived but honestly, it didn't hinder our experience at all. I interacted with another guest one time for 20 minutes in the main room over wine provided by Sis (cheers!) and it was a great chat. Other than that, didn't hear or see anyone else - but we did spend a very healthy amount of time enjoying Queenstown. Great for our four night stay.

The bathrooms were a bit outdated but had everything essential and it was fine and functional. More counter space would be nice. Shower pressure could've been stronger but I like to be almost knocked down with mine lol

The location of Balmoral Lodge was within easy walking distance to Queenstown town centre. The return journey was uphill but this meant the view from the accomodation, and our room, was unrivalled. Views over Queenstown and the lake beyond were simply superb. We were spoiled by our host with clean towels every day, muffins and chocolates in our room and complimentary nibbles and wine in the lounge. Lovely touches.

everything about this accommodation shines seven stars the rooms are spacious brilliant views of the city and waterfront it is a place that your whole family including children will be at ease and feel it is like oh the management is run by a lady who is the owner and she is exceptional her knowledge of the area is so good it’s hard to find anyone who knows more about the area very helpful what is exceptional to me was the manager of her to do our laundry and when we returned to room it was washed folded this is not your normal place I rate this seven stars plus

For me there was no negative feedback on this property I enjoyed every moment while I was there

The view from the window was mesmerizing..neat and tidy with comfortable bed and other facilities..house keeper was friendly and don't hesitate to help.u..

The only thing I would say it's situated on a hill so.if u r asthmatic or.any heart problem I wouldn't think.its advisable to walk..its really steep..so it's not always walkable..
