This place is amazing. From check-in to check-out we were treated with nothing but the best. Our room was fresh and modern. The bathroom had heated flooring. The beds are really comfortable (including the pull-out sofa in the lounge). The black-out curtains are amazing. The kitchenette is equipped with all the essentials. And although we were situated near the road, the room was incredibly sound-proof. But for us what stood out most was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, friendly, accommodating and refreshingly down-to-earth - yet professional at the same time. Thank you for making our holiday just that extra bit special guys :)

Immaculate in and out of Newina, and in and out of our spa suite aswell. Loved having the spa outside of our suite. Loved the kitchenette. It was a spacious suite. Customer service was exceptional. Especially after having to travel from outside of Rotorua. The hotel also has a pool and gym and sauner. The hotel is in a convenient spot. Across the road is the supermarket, take aways and all of the fairy springs activities. It's also just down the road from the city centre. Value for money and would definitely book again. While it did take a long time to fill the spa, I appreciated that self filling meant we weren't swimming in anyone else's spa and we knew this first hand.

Everything about Newina was amazing. Great location, room was very clean and tidy. The pool was great, and the spa was awesome. Will definitely be coming back.

I recently spent my birthday at the Newina in Rotorua and stayed for two wonderful days. Here are my thoughts: The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few steps away from shopping and dining options, making it super convenient for anything you might need. The facilities are excellent, with recently renovated rooms that are clean, airy, and extremely comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the heated pool, which is perfect for year-round use; we took advantage of it in November and had a great time! I also appreciated the well-organized parking, which made our stay hassle-free—something I’ve struggled with at other places. Our room had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including a cozy bed and an excellent shower. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist when needed, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

If I may offer a couple of suggestions to enhance the experience: the breakfast could use some improvements, as it felt a bit lacking. Additionally, a smart TV in the room would be a great touch for those who enjoy streaming services like Netflix. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Newina! Nice, new complex, so everything worked, looked shiny and new. Bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows (often something I struggle with at motels/hotels for being too soft - these were great).

For a relatively new complex there was an acute shortage of power points within reach in critical areas - such as - where the dining table (and chairs) were located - no powerpoint/s; the two beds obviously had powerpoints as the bedside lamps and electric blankets were plugged in - BUT there was no way to easily reach them hidden down behind the bed, and bedside table/s. For a new complex this seems a massive oversight. Should have been powerpoints within easy reach (for instance 1m up the wall behind the bedside table/s), and near the dining table where the only chairs were located.

The rooms are brand new, fresh, clean, modern, and well organized. Parking is easy right in front. We had a family suite which was two bedrooms, one full bathroom, and one toilet room, which was perfect for our family of four. It had a good size, family room with kitchen table , 4 chairs, and couch and chair, as well as the kitchenette. Really appreciated the additional touches like the heated bathroom floor, heated towel racks and Sky TV.

Would’ve been nice if they had a breakfast option, but not a big deal given the kitchenette and the amazing location right across the street from a great grocery store Countdown and lots of fast food options. So really not a negative.

Ability to drive car right up to the front door of the property. The spa pool was an excellent facility especially for the 5 year old in our party. The apartment was relatively spacious.

Whilst we had no conflict with him, the male receptionist/ manager/owner was not really very welcoming. Being an older person I would have appreciated a handle or grip to make entry and exit from the shower over the bath much safer. The occupants in the unit above us seemed to spend hours clonking around so we heard allt this through the wooden floors

This is a fantastic location. Very clean and our room was cleaned daily as well. Very tidy. The bed was a bit firm for my liking but was still a good bed to sleep in. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. The room was a great size. I really like that it had a great size kitchenette and all its ammenities. The room had a very new and updated feel. Large bathroom with a lovey shower over a bath too.

I didn’t like that you could hear people walking in the room above us. We had an issue with the spa in our room. But the manager was very quick to respond and get it fix. And was happy to move us to another room with one that was working.

Had a fabulous stay with my husband and two young children. Directly across the road form the skyline gondola. Greeted by a lovely gentleman who checked us in super quick. Booked a room with 2 queen beds which had our own private spa outside in a nice private courtyard. The beds were super comfortable with electric blankets and I loved the lighting in the room with lamps everywhere which you can create a lovely ambience. The room was faultless clean, the kitchenette was fantastic and the bathroom with bath was lovely, clean and warm. With young children it was amazing that all the quick convenience food shops were only meters away across the road and fuel and a supermarket! Only minutes from the main city of Rotorua where we enjoyed so many wonderful eateries. We were super happy that we chose a hotel just slightly out of the Rotorua CBD. I would highly recommend staying here. Special mention to Selina, the lovely receptionist? who was so friendly and accommodating.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Accomodation was perfect us. We happily stayed 4 nights. Two adults two kids. Great pool, comfy beds, enough room in the lounge, simple kitchen but the right appliances for our needs. Staff helpful. Enjoyed the sauna. Great location. Clean and tidy. Serviced daily. All the fast food restaurants and supermarket super close, and some of the main tourist activities within easy walking distance as well.

As noted the kitchen was a relatively simple set up and space, but had all the basics and for just for breakfast and snacks this worked fine for us. Full meals probably a little bit harder. But lots of food take outs close by anyway!
