Lake Lodge Motel Rotorua

The location was great. Opposite the lake and a few minutes walk from Eat Street. John, reception, was excellent. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Room was wonderful too. Very spacious 2 good sized bedrooms, large living/dining/kitchen area. Well equipped with hob, microwave. Toaster, nespresso machine with pods, large fridge. Even given some fresh milk for our tea/coffee. Nice shower room and toilet. Plenty of towels, very comfy beds. Was extremely clean. Nice small, warm pool, garden area with bbq and seating area. Cannot fault anything. Had a great stay.

We enjoyed that just across the road from the Lodge was the best park ever, also views that u would never see staying in the other hotels. We were a 5min walk from the shops, everything was so close and accessible it was amazing, definitely recommend and will definitely stay again x

It wasnt a major but the WIFI wasn't connecting all the time, the tv was awesome. We were there for a netball tournament so by the time we got back, was play at the park, shower, moe other than that we loved everything else.

The apartment, a little old, but big, with all the amenities. You can cook if you want to.. in front of a big park. Several hotels and restaurants around the area Walking distance to the bus stop to Auckland, but better to call an Uber, specially if raining!

The apartment itself is ok! The supermarkets are very far away! To go to the restaurants nearby, you have to walk about 2-3 blocks. Very limited options. To get better options, one needs to go around the Bus Station, and walk a little.bit more!; in the direction of the souvenirs shops and supermarkets!

Barry and staff were amazing. So friendly and welcoming. The breakfast at the bnb side was great with plenty of options. Barry made some great recommendations where to eat locally. It is so close to the food precinct and easy to find. Will definitely come back to stay.

The only negative I could think of was the lack of air conditioning in the bnb side but I would say that it’s a personal preference thing and given the age of the house, it may be harder to install.

Staff were wonderful, friendly and informative. Location was amazing- great views of the lake just across the street and in walking distance to the town centre. Bed was super comfy and place was spotlessly clean, grounds in beautiful condition too. Everything you needed was provided, coffee pod machine (bonus), hairdryer, plenty of towels and linen, spare pillows, extra blankets. Central heating which was lovely and extra heater provided along with a heat pump- very prepared! Loved the little sustainability touches too.

Spacious 1-bedroom apt that appeared newly refurbished (or very well cared for). Very close to variety of dining establishments (and Lady Jane’s ice cream). Sofas and bed were comfortable. Large shower. AC in the living area and a floor fan to move air around. At the beginning of February we didn’t actually need the AC. No bugs so not a problem to get cooling air via open windows and the sliding entry door. Lots of sleeping options (queen & twin bed + two sleeper sofas). Each room has two chairs on the veranda to enjoy looking across to the lake. Kitchen= refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner hob.

Kitchen did not have a cutting board or bottle opener. We would have preferred plunger (French press) coffee rather than K-cup machine. Stairs are slippery in the rain.

Location of this motel is absolutely great, right in front of the lake. 2 minutes walk to the Eat Street, 10 minutes walk to the central park with geysers. Clean room, kitchen, toilet and shower.

Shower in room #7 was half-broken, but still did the job. Probably not the most comfortable bed, but comfortable enough to get decent sleep, especially after the whole day of activities. Some food leftovers in the fridge from the previous tenants.

It was an extremely safe 8 min walk, even at night, to the local restaurants and bars. Its right across the road from a family friendly park and walking path. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms were warm. The showers great. Nice and quiet. I also got a curtesy phone call to say our room was ready for check-in far sooner then check in time which we were really grateful for!

The location, after we parked up friday evening we didnt us3 our car at all until we drove out Sunday. The big plus for me, the pool. So nice to wake up n before bed having a soak.

The carpark outside our room was too tight a squeeze so utiliz3d the park on the otherside. Would have been nice to have been able to park beside unit how3ver I didnt want to be the 1 blocked in and having to search rooms as to the owners to move cars to get out in the morning which 3 others did.

Clean and great location, with a playground just across the street, it definitely caught my daughter’ attention and saved us huge energy to find entertainment during our stay, lake view is another benefit while watching my daughter in the playground, the staff was very kind and helpful. It’s within walking distance to dinners and Polynesian spa and we loved it. Definitely recommend.
