Location amazing. Pool and outdoor area fantastic for families. Room decor was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful.

I was woken early (6.30am) both mornings by noise from the floor below and surrounding rooms. So no sleep in!

The property is next to Eat Streat. We enjoyed walking around the town. Short drive to Te Puia and the Redwood Tree Walk.

The property charges 2.5% for payment by credit cards. The property will charge the rate of one night's stay before guests arrives. For guests visiting from overseas and booking online, they have no choice but to pay by card, so the 2.5% surcharge is incurred. For the benefits of guest booking online from overseas, this practice of charging one night's rate ahead of check-in should be reviewed, else do not charge the surcharge for credit card payment online for this one-night's pre-stay charge and only levy when guests make payment onsite using credit cards.

Welcoming, friendly. Place was bright clean and very professional staff. Offered to take bags to room. Room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful bathrobes for our use too which was an added bonus given the spa. Bathroom was always clean and restocked. Good ventilation in the bathroom and heating in the room. Great parking close to our room out the back gate and very easy to walk everywhere in town including EAT street. Highly recommend

Breakfast was cold on arrival to the table and unfortunately average, but the service and friendly staff made up for it. Much more positives than negatives for this place.

Easy check in and check out. Great location near to Eat Street and easy walking to town, Government Gardens and lake. Room was warm, clean and comfortable.

Car parking is on a first come first served basis. This wasn't clear when booking the accommodation. The expectation was that as a space was booked, one would be available. On street parking nearby but chargeable. Fortunately we didn't have to wait too long for a space to become free.

Right from check in this place is amazing, the staff are welcoming, friendly, and there is help and assistance the entire time. Quality service above and beyond, I certainly felt that extra bit special with help with my luggage from the boot to our room. The facilities are beautifully presented with class and quality once again. You can relax and unwind, and also know all the main places to visit, see, and do are on your doorstep. The private spa is exceptional and nice to use this without feeling like you are in a dingy closed room - the painting/wall art makes it feel pleasant. The room was perfect and more than met our needs, the linen has you in dreamland. There are no short cuts.

I was woken by one of the neighbouring bars that had karaoke, I'm pretty sure it would have exceeded noise control levels however it didn't last long enough to cause me any irritation. A slight shame with parking as it seems to be a first come first serve basis and when the city is busy finding anything nearby just isn't possible. We started off in the carpark, we headed out for dinner at the skyline and returned to no parks so we had some natural unease having to park down the road and leave our vehicle overnight.

The hotel is so convenient, literally around the corner from Eat Street and the middle of town! The bed was fabulous, all other fittings and fixtures were great too. Very clean and tidy.

Only two things - first, I'd asked for a table in the room (for working) but the low coffee table and high desk with low chair weren't great for typing options. Secondly it could potentially be loud in the weekends, although was fine Weds/Thurs nights and they were busy too

My wife was especially thrilled with the decor, bed comfort, bathroom, and room size. We dined in at the restaurant, and it was superb. The receptionist had several management roles, all performed cheerfully, gracefully and promptly. The heated outdoor pool and indoor hot spa are highly recommended. We certainly will return as often as possible, and rate the stay there higher than the Taupo Hilton, where we stayed on the same trip.

We didn't have more time there !!

The location of the property was central with a wealth of varied eating and drinking establishments less than 50m away. The room was large with a separate living space, bedroom and large bathroom with separate wc. The staff at the front desk were helpful and provided useful information on what to see and where to go for people visiting the town.

There was a new part of the hotel being constructed during our stay. The work only took place during business hours and will soon be finished but it was a bit of an eyesore and makes the room quite dark.

Awesome location, wonderful little thermal spa and heated swimming pool. Huge bathroom with two hand basins. I get claustrophobia so it was perfect to have a room with a deck and windows that opened. We did not ask for a quiet room as we did not want one. It was good to hear the buzz from Eat Street. Gokul who delivered our towels to the spa was the epitome of good service with a smile.

Location was perfect, very central and a very close drive to many locations or a short walking trip. The room was much bigger than we thought it would be which was a lovely surprise. The pool looked amazing (unfortunately was way to cold for us to enjoy).

Limited onsite parking available but plenty of street parking available just around the corner.
