Clean

Laundry room, a staff member asked for the dryer to use for a large load of uniforms. I declined to give the dryer for his use as I preferred to wait for a short wash load and then follow with the dryer. Guests should not have to let staff use the washing facilities if there is any issues. The towel rack fell off. The entry door key cover fell off. Inadequate air extraction in the large bathroom. We had to leave the bathroom door open for steam to clear and fresh air.

The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located where we needed to be for an appointment along Cameron Rd with lots of safe onsite parking for peace of mind. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our rooms were spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We had sky TV, tea and coffee facilities, air-con and a hair dryer, iron, safe, etc. The rooms were quiet and extremely comfortable. We had dinner in the onsite restaurant which was great for a tasty basic meal when we didn't want to venture far. There was also a swimming pool, but due to it still being cooler springtime weather, we didn't have a chance to enjoy that.

There was nothing to fault.

I had a power outage and it was fixed straight away. I inquired about staying an extra night and every effort to provide a room at short notice was made... however l didnot need it. One of the cleaning staff found a top of mine by the bed and found me at reception to give it to me. Your staff are the best!

The shower door over bath was tricky to get in and out... l was a little anxious as l have broken my left leg and take care to avoid hazards. The bath surface after soaping up was slippery and no handrails l had to grab the glass door. Not complaining just giving you constructive feedback. I did think older guests might struggle climbing into shower over a bath as well.

Have stayed here before because of the great location to town and also an easy drive to the Mount. It's in a lovely spot in the city. Located in a parlike setting and an easy walk into town for bars and restaurants and the waterfront. Wonderful help from Nadia on the front desk and nothing was too much trouble. Great pool and outdoor area to enjoy over Summer. Rooms are great and a bonus was a bathtub.

Our heatpump/aircon dripped during our stay and affected our sleep a little having to delay with it during the night.

Super friendly, helpful staff. This is the second time our group has booked this accomodation this year. Lovely newly updated, tastefully decorated, clean well appointed rooms. Main waterfront restaurant/bars and our concert venue within a 4-7 minute walk fantastic! Will definitely be booking again Thankyou Armitage Team, for again making our stay fabulous. .

This was no fault of the Armitage Hotel. The roads were being repaired, which was a definate necessity, sadly to ensure low interruption to traffic during the working day the heavy machinery was operating until after 11pm directly on road below. Our rooms.

Location was amazing, I needed to work while we were there and I had no issues with connection. Room was very spacious and we were able to walk to restaurants for dinner etc.

We received an upgrade, which on the face of it would have been great, but we went from having 2 beds (suitable for a mother & daughter) to having 1 bed. The bed was massive & we had plenty of room but I can imagine this would be a problem for other travellers.

The rooms have outside decks with deck chairs accessed through ranchsliders. Great place on top of the hill. A nice short walk down through the park path to the restaurants on the Tauranga foreshore. Rooms spacious, light and airy.

Sort of didn't like/but like? Got moved to a room where I had indicated I wanted - on the east side as the one on the west was cooking hot. However, ended up right by the lift and couldn't sleep. I snuck nto the bathroom and phoned reception. They came up immediately and moved me on my own to another great room. My partner, who could sleep through anything, joined me in the morning. They hadn't realised that room was just by the lift. Restaurant breakfast offered was being taken by some guests but upon looking at it I chose to go to a local cafe.

We liked the old mixed in with new. It was very cosy and definitely would come back again.

The floor in the bathroom was too slippery and the toilet was way too close the wall/corner of the bathroom. It felt like you were sitting on a child’s toilet seat. Specifically room 214. Better defined car park lines as some people cannot park correctly. Having some cutlery in the room would have been nice if you were wanting to bring food back to the room.

Staff were great and friendly! Room clean and large comfortable bed.

For a start the entrance isn't on Willow St, it's on Brown St. It's a very dated property although they were in the middle of renovating it. Our room looked like it had just been reno'd, however the bathroom didn't have a fan, window, or heated towel rail, and toilet must have been the original (about 1 foot off the ground, single flush, and no room to bend over and lift the seat). Pool was dirty so couldn't be swum in. Overall it is fine for a short stay but don't expect too much.

We ended up here over New Year, and got a great view of the fireworks. A very pleasant walk into town, where there are lots of places to eat. If you're walking into town, look out for the little hothouse in the gardens before the redoubt - a little gem. We loafed about by the pool rather a lot as it was very hot. The breakfast was excellent, and ample parking. We'd have stayed another day but sadly they were fully booked.

Not much choice for food, but that's because it was New Year, so it's not actually a complaint: we could easily have walked into town if we'd really wanted more choice. We had to eventually leave the pool as it got completely taken over by one incredibly boisterous family, throwing each other in, and it just wasn't a good place to be at that point. We were glad our room was on the opposite side, not overlooking the pool.
