Relaxing and peaceful. Spacious balcony. Toaster and microwave privided. Housekeeping did a wonderful job and accomodated our requests when required. Bath robes were great. Loved the close proximity to the town. Everything was walking distance.

Train going past on first night gave us a hell of a fright so recommend closing sliding door and turning on air con if you are a hot sleeper. Unfortunately, restaurant/bar was closed during our 4 night stay. Would've loved to try that out but nevermind. There were plenty of food options along the water front and close to the hotel to entice your taste buds.

The location was perfect, close to all amenities, the function we were attending, and a 2 minute walk to the nightlife. The room, bed, and bathroom were clean and comfortable and well equipped with all facilities, exra care for the ladies if you wear makeup. The spa is awesome and relaxing after a night out in town. and a large mirrored wardrobe space with cozy bathrobes. The staff were helpful, friendly, and well-manneredand checking in was a breeze. We loved our stay and would book again . We have stayed in a lot of hotels, and most of them ,very disappointing,. I would definitely recommend the Hotel on Devonport , comfy stay, and worth your dollars.

Stayed here for juicyfest loved how convenient the location is to bars, restaurants, dairy, bakeries,markets etc easy as check in, the bed was soooo comfy and we had a really clean room! Would recommend to anyone and would 100% stay here again, staff were also really helpful!

This isn’t the hotels fault but getting through the carpark entrance was a tight squeeze due to the cars parked across from the entrance that made it difficult to get into so just a heads up especially if you have a Ute like we did

The room was very well appointed and spacious. The hotel was in an inner-city area with good off street parking. Staff were very helpful.There were a good variety of cafes for breakfast/lunch etc and restaurants for evening meals.Close to kids playground with a statue of Hairy McLairy characters and a logging train railway. Some street art around the area, lots of "outdoor" shops.

There were a number of shops permanently closed.The bad weather may have affected our perceptions but the area near the hotel seemed to be more commercial than touristy with some construction in neighbouring streets.Needed a car to visit beach/mountain area. Couldn't see too much scenery, again because of the wether.

We booked this hotel at 5am in the morning, because we were not satisfied with the apartment we had already booked and we were wide awake due to the inability to sleep → so we loved this property had Air Conditioning! The room and amenities were beyond our expectation - really comfortable beds! Great spa bath! Loved the view from our little deck, and we were really happy with the secure parking available. Lastly, we had a friend meet us for dinner and she ended up staying the night - the staff were awesome! They provided a single bed (not the old school roller / fold-up / trundler type of bed) that was very comfortable. The hotel charged a small fee, and gave her free carparking for the night. Thanks team!

There wasn't anything that we disliked about this hotel.

Great location for restaurants and shops. Balcony over the city street had a good view and was sheltered from the breeze.

Carparking costs an extra $10 per night and must be pre-booked, which isn't mentioned up front on Booking.com. There's construction next door, and whatever was being delivered at 5am shook the building enough that I woke up and checked the EQ site to see what scale of 'earthquake' I'd just felt. Other than that the traffic noise wasn't bad though.

Stayed one night while travelling around the North Island. Very convenient location in the centre of Tauranga. Very friendly welcome at reception, and speedy check in. We had booked an executive king room which was on the eighth floor, and very roomy with a lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities, and bottles of water. Comfortable bed, and good air conditioning. The undercover parking garage accessed at the rear of the property at $10NZ for the night was a bonus as we had a car full of luggage.

Nothing really to dislike although rare to stay in a 4star hotel the doesn’t have a restaurant or a bar! Obviously missed that when booking! Can thoroughly recommend the Harbourside restaurant just behind the hotel on the wharf overlooking the river. Breakfast was available if ordered in advance and booked by 9pm the night before although the choice was somewhat confusing so we checked out and went elsewhere. Also having not been able to check in until 3pm, a check out time of 10am, early by usual standards, means you only get 20 hours use of the room!

Clean, spacious and comfortable room perfectly suited to my needs for a brief business trip. I checked in outside of reception hours and the security officers that met me on arrival were wonderful - professional, friendly and super helpful.

There could have been more USB charger points available for convenience but that's a minor detail that I was able to overcome by borrowing a charger from reception.

Very surprised by how comfy and pleasant our stay was. We stayed two nights and pre-booked our parking at the hotel. It was extremely easy to find the location and check in was straightforward. Staff were amazing, location was second to none, and parking was easy to use. Great value for money!

The staff was accommodating any questions I had answered and requests I had they accommodated the hotel was clean and comfortable 👌 excellent location close to shops bars and restaurants They deserve and 5 star rating couldn't ask for a better room than you for your friendly staff

That I couldn't stay longer that was my only thing that I didn't like and that the hotel should have been given a 5 star rating
