Loved this hotel, I upgraded our rooms to Superior King Rooms, and very glad I did. The windows were large, capturing an awesome view. I would totally recommend this upgrade. The Restaurant was excellent.
Check out seemed a bit slow for us as we had a taxi waiting and there was quite a line up of people checking in.

The hotel is located in the very center of Tromso. It is easy to get to - buses from the airport stop in front of the hotel and the taxi ride is very quick - about 10 minutes. The room is clean, warm - there is a kettle, coffee and tea. There is also a fridge and a safe. There is also an ironing board and an iron in the room. The employees were very nice and polite, the cleaning service took great care of cleanliness and replacing towels. The breakfast buffet is very varied, everyone will find something for themselves. The view from the window of the bridge and marina - amazing... A very good base for trips - a meeting place before going on a tour.

The room was comfortable and the view over the harbor and town was nice. The location is great for tours as most leave from the front of the hotel or across the street. The front desk staff were very helpful when we had to make a last-minute change to our reservation. I can't remember the young man's name who assisted us, but he helped us several times while we were there with various items like taxi, tours, etc.
I was underwhelmed with the food quality for the high price at the evening buffet and that the price for a hot chocolate at the bar was $14. Keep in mind everything is very EXPENSIVE in Tromso. But overall, it was a good base for exploring Tromso and surrounding areas.

The view was amazing and being able to open the huge windows added to it.
Pillows were lumpy.

The breakfast had a good selection and was delicious, I only wish it changed a little more often as we were there for a week and it stayed the same the entire time. The view from our room is spectacular and the heating worked great. The location made it easy for us when meeting guides as well as going into the main street. The staff were friendly and efficient.
There was a weird smell in the room that we couldn't get rid of and there was not a whole lot of luggage storage space so we had to prop our bags on the floor. Nothing that would stop us from going back but definitely could be improved.

Amazing location and really convenient. A beautiful view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was good. There’s a mini area in reception to get hot drinks and snacks. The tours and airport bus stop right outside the hotel which is great. The bathroom had loads of space to put your toiletries. The bed was big and comfortable.
The towels were very small and there was no bath mat or slippers. The hairdryer was extremely dusty and not great so would recommend bringing your own.

It was a lovely place to stay close to everything. The room was clean and you could open the windows to let fresh air in, the bed was comfortable and there was a kettle and tea and coffee in room. The breakfast spread is very good with a huge range to suit any diet.
When we checked in, the initial male staff member from reception was not very welcoming or helpful, in fact he was quite rude. Subsequent times that we approached front reception they weren’t very helpful either and seemed annoyed by any questions. It was a shame because everything else about our stay was excellent

Hotel was in a great location to restaurants, shops, bars and pickup for excursions. The view from the breakfast room was incredible. Though most of the reviews praised the breakfast for being the best in Norway, it had a wide variety of options available, but not all were great. Coffee was great. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating.
The rooms sometimes felt very hot at night. Upon arrival, the shower had a few hairs from previous guests but was cleaned straight after the complaint.

Fantastic breakfast buffet every morning - tons of options for everyone and considering the food in Norway is so expensive, it probably saved us money! Location is great, lots of excursions meet at this hotel or opposite, and it was a great central point to explore Tromso. It only took us about 15-20 mins by taxi to get there from the airport, and there's a regular airport bus too.
The beds weren't that comfy, we requested a king bed and got two singles pushed together with a thin lumpy mattress topper on each one to sleep on, it was strange and I would have expected more considering the price per night. Pillows were very thin.

Perfect location to explore Tromso. The view out our giant window of the waterfront and Arctic Cathedral were mesmerizing. On that note, we had the ability to pretty much black out the windows with curtains to be able to sleep (polar summer in late June!) The breakfast buffet was very good! The hotel staff was nice enough to lend us a voltage step up converter (110v to 220v) for my wife's hair thingy. Everything was clean and in working order. Power outlets were in very convenient locations.
Parking in Tromso is very tough and confusing. Through Booking.com, I was not able to book parking, and once I got to the hotel, I was only able to book it for one out of the three days we were there. Fortunately there is an underground parking garage about 5 blocks away that is moderately priced (320NOK/day). The hotel charge was 25. The bathroom was nice, but very small. The shower was a weird foldable glass situation that ended up getting water everywhere. It was a bit limiting. Lastly, the bed had a partition in the middle. I guess it can be split into multiple beds if needed. This left a hill in the middle and my wife and I kept rolling to opposite sides of the bed at night. I know it isn't uncommon in Scandinavia, but it was a little bit inconvenient.
