Excellent location. Lovely views from our 5th floor superior room across the harbour & sea. Welcoming staff. Comfy room. Easy walking distance to shops, cafes, museums & Tromso cathedral. Good & easily accessible bus routes to cable-car & Arctic Cathedral.

Rather basic breakfast & dinner. FIKA became somewhat repetitive. Arctic Cathedral disappointed & was outshone by the Tromso Cathedral. Aurora cruise dinner was poor, not to our palate, but seeing the "Northern Lights" made up for that.

I had the loveliest time. The staff was very friendly. I arrived very late and asked if it was possible to still get dinner (a few days before I startet my journey). They prepared something and they also gave me a room with a good view at the harbour. I told them that would be great while booking. The room was cosy and inviting. Its stated in there policy that they don't clean the rooms every day which is fine with me. If you want a daily towl change you can use the sign that comes with the room. Food was really good too. Each day there was a different option of a warm meal. They prepared a variety of salads and bread. The soup was always different and the vegeterian option. The staff refilled everything once it was almost empty. You could always fill your belly with whatever you like. Breakfast was rich and in the afternoon you could get cake. Tea, water and Coffee you could always drink. The elevator was working fine in the time I stand there. For the location you almost can't get it any better. I never hat to take a bus (I also walked to the cable car because I had so much time). If you don't want to walk as much there are bus stops right around the corner and the Taxi stand is not far away either. To every tour I booked it was only a few minutes to walk. You can explore the City with all its sights quite wonderfully starting from the hotel. I can really recommend the Clarion Hotel With. By the way, they have a Sauna as well.

The fact that dinner and breakfast were both included was a big bonus. There was a great selection of food and there were different dishes served at dinner each night. The location was perfect, quite close to the city car park and overlooking the lake. It was a beautiful view to wake up to.

There wasn't much I didn't like, really excellent stay.

The staff was really nice. The room was comfortable and nice. The facilities were clean and the food was nice, especially the breakfast buffet had some really delicious food. The location was perfect. I had a sea view room and that elevated the experience a lot more.

The overall feel of the hotel was a little dated. The dinner buffet was not as good as the breakfast one. You had to ask if you wanted your room cleaned more than once in four days, which I thought was a little long. I understand they will do it if you ask but for 300euros a night I feel like it should be cleaned more often without me needing to ask.

I enjoyed my stay very much, meals were great selection- it is a right choice to choose this hotel, especially when is cold/snowing outside. Hotel is in a great location close to everything like tour points, transport connectivity. The people at the front desk are exceptional. They helped me made my stay comfortable especially when I had travel inconveniences such as damaged luggage and a sprained knee. Also, I needed to check out really early and taxi could be arranged easily. Much appreciation to Filli, and another lady which I didnt manage to get her name. All of them are super amazing people.

Nothing really, everything was wonderful

Location was perfect to explore the city and walking distance from the day trip pick up points. The breakfast and dinner were great. Lovely having coffee and cake in the afternoon. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Big room, very comfy beds, great shower.

There was no storage in the room for clothes, no chest of drawers or wardrobe. Had to live out our suitcase which was odd considering how great the rest of the facilities were. Small negative in a huge list of positives.

The hotel is super well located at the city center. We managed to get the paid parking lot from the hotel in front (Clarion Aurora), which was very convenient and the cheapest option available in the area (my tip: keep trying in the next days in case you dont get a spot right away). The view from the superior double bedroom was stunning, amenities from Rituals, bathroom with heated floor. The complimentary breakfast, Fika (cake time) and dinner are okay and very convenient if you’re traveling on budget (they even offer you a vegan or vegetarian option per request).

The bed was quite small (140cm wide), the water from the shower passed under the glass wall which is a bit annoying , and the elevator was not working the 8 days we were there, but the staff informed us it was back on service at the check out (I didn’t check though).

We stayed at the clarion hotel for four nights on a half board basis. We considered the cost of same to be of excellent value, there was an excellent choice and array of food at both breakfast and dinner in the evening with attention to detail by the chef on duty. Staff were extremely helpful and obliging. We did particularly like the never ending supply of tea and coffee and the afternoon sweet treats which were appreciated if we had been out from early morning.

Considering the cost of half board we could find little fault with this hotel and the attention to detail given by staff members. Thank you

Amazing location right on the waterfront, giving interesting views of the busy harbour and incredible mountain views beyond. So easy to find (can be easily seen from the airport bus stop) and the property is an easy stroll into the centre and main shopping street. This hotel was quiet, comfortable and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We had half board (an included option available to all guests) and found all meals to be of a good standard, particularly a very good breakfast - lots of choice on the hot and cold buffets. Afternoon coffee and cake was also included and very popular! Tea and coffee were available 24/7.

Nothing - an excellent stay, in a smart but homely atmosphere. The housekeeping schedule was a little different from the mainstream but caused no issues.
