Great location.

We decided to upgrade to a standard room with a view and unfortunately, when we arrived the window looked directly onto another part of the hotel. You couldn’t have the curtains open as you could see directly into one another’s rooms and only if you leant to the window and craned your neck could you see some of the water. We queried this with the staff and they said they were fully booked and so we couldn’t change rooms. Admittedly, we spent little time in the room so it didn’t matter too much but I would question the photographs and marketing they have of their ‘sea view rooms’, I’m sure some of them are wonderful but this isn’t consistent; had we known this in advance we wouldn’t have bothered upgrading and just saved the money (roughly £55 extra a night).

I loved the aesthetic of the Radisson, I always do! Tromso was no exception. We got a free upgrade which was unexpected but very welcome. Our room was spacious for two people with lots of lovely amenities such as a kettle, nice toiletries and such. Each day we got new cups, new amenities and fresh towels. The staff were friendly and pleasant. To my surprise, this was the cheapest hotel available for our dates. Plug sockets were close to the bed which is also a thoughtful, welcome touch. The location was absolutely incredible, right in the centre and our tour meeting points were literally at our hotel and the hotel opposite - perfect! We had a generous check out time of midday on our final day which was ideal as we didn't fly back until the evening. I have stayed at the Radisson in different cities on multiple occasions and always find it a lovely hotel.

We couldn't figure out how to turn off the light on the thermostat. I toss and turn in the night so when facing it, struggled to sleep, as it was very bright. I could have bought an eyemask but I didn't know I'd need one, I don't usually wear one, and I wouldn't know where to find one in Tromso plus it would be super expensive I imagine! The amenities for hot drinks don't include milk; as Brits, we favour tea over coffee but Europeans don't seem to drink tea that much, and if they do, it's flavoured without the addition of milk so just something to bear in mind if you're a (British) tea drinker.

The hotel is in the city center and convenient to everything! The location is excellent! All our tours began nearby or in the lobby of the hotel itself. In fact, there’s a tour desk in the lobby to book tours and to assist you. The room was small but clean and comfortable. We had a view of the harbor. There was daily housekeeping and coffee was replenished each day. The room had a kettle and a small refrigerator. The fitness facility was small but well equipped. We didn’t eat at any of the restaurants at the hotel (no breakfast) because so many other options are close by. I can’t comment on their restaurants as a result.

Getting into and out of the shower/bathtub could be difficult, especially for a person with mobility issues or older, like me. The bathroom was quite small and tight. Limited English programming on the television. We could not get any streaming to work on the tv as the WiFi signal was a little weak in our room. No towels provided in the fitness center. While we didn’t have such a room, be aware that some rooms look into other rooms directly across the small alley. Privacy may be an issue should you be assigned such a room. We upgraded to a harbor view and it was worth it.

The room was small, but had everything needed for a short stay. The location is absolutely perfect, since you can reach everything in Tromsø by foot. We really enjoyed the sauna which was pretty empty most of the time we went (late afternoon, early evening). Breakfast was delicious and had a lot of different things to offer.

The breakfast room seems to be a bit too small for the whole hotel, we had to wait a little on two days of our stay until we could sit down somewhere. While we also really enjoyed the sauna, it is separated by gender which sucks a bit if you are in a heterosexual relationship and want to spend time with your significant other. Also the sauna for women was at 50 degrees celsius for three days (which is a bit too cold for a sauna in my opinion) and even though I told the staff nothing happened.

Stayed for a week at this absolutely fantastic property. Views from room 416 were fantastic. Waking up to views of the snow-clad mountains and the sea view was such a dreamy experience. Staff at the front desk were always courteous and very helpful. The location is fantastic and less than a minute's walk to most pick-up locations for the tours. Airport bus drops you right in front of the hotel and local public transportation is available behind the hotel. Radisson is a brilliant property to stay in Tromso. This was our tenth-anniversary vacation and we couldn't have been more happier about our decision to stay at this property.

Breakfast options got a bit boring after day 3 since it seemed like the same spread.. But hey thats on us for staying for a week :)...

It is ideally located as everything (restaurants, bars, bus station, airport express) is only a few meters away. The superior double room was quite big and nicely warm, and it had an espresso machine (with free capsules!). We didn't pay extra for the view so we faced a building - which was ok since we spent most of the time outdoors. Breakfast was great with a lot of options. The sauna had a nice view! We experienced some great local food and went to Arctandria for fish (reservation required!), to Full steam for reindeer sausage and fish soup, to Bardus for reindeer stake, and to Olhallen for a local beer! All recommended/

There is nothing really to complain about. The sauna could maybe be a bit warmer.

Room was extra cosy. Queen size bed, window very close to it, perfect for watching the snow fall as you lay down on the fluffy pillows. Perhaps many guests will consider the room small, but for me (as a solo traveler), was great. Loved the mixture between the wood and the warm lightning. Hands down, best breakfast ever. 10 out of 10. I'll miss the variety of it. Thx to the cleaning ladies for doing such a wonderful job. Also, a thing that caught my attention was the elevators :)) They're very quick, even though the hotel was fully booked. All in all, great experience! <3

I liked everything.

Central location, and great breakfast, reasonably good rooms

Doesn’t have an in-house Restraunt which is a big negative for a 4 star hotel chain. The house keeping staff are a bit thrifty in so far as they don’t replenish the used toiletries. No drinking water was provided in the room , only an empty bottle to collect water was provided. Even if the tap water is drinkable, for some of us it’s psychologically difficult to accept collecting water from the wash room for drinking/ making coffee etc. water was not provided even after request. In my humble opinion this is a bolt on a chain hotel like Radisson. Staff are generally helpful and pleasant except for one who tent to be a little rude

Breakfast was really delicious and of good quality. Room was comfortable and functional for us as a family of five. We did a big bed and the bunk beds. Used Pukka travel around the corner to book excursions as the travel desk within the hotel Didn’t respond to any queries and was not open? during our time there. We loved Pukka. Ended up doing dog sledding, reindeer/Sami culture, and rented a Tesla and drove around including watching northern lights.

Staff just wasn’t overly helpful or friendly. They also didn’t mention breakfast or any other helpful info.x

I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most breathtaking and unforgettable aspects of my visit - the panoramic views from my room. The picturesque scenery that unfolded before my eyes was nothing short of spectacular, offering a combination of natural beauty that left a lasting impression. Moreover, one of the added charms of this view was the presence of the famous Arctic Cathedral. This iconic architectural masterpiece stood tall and proud on the horizon The exceptional service provided by the hotel staff further enhanced my stay. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist with any needs or questions I had. The staff's helpfulness truly made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.
