Everything about this place was great! The resort sits on a hillside, overlooking the ocean and provides excellent views. The location is close to San Juan (5 minutes by motor bike). The pool is beautiful and tranquil and the rooms were very nicely appointed, with AC, hot water, a small kitchen and plenty of space. However, what we loved most was the food - the breakfasts were delicious and we ended up eating there for dinner multiple times. The staff also could not be more friendly. If we come back to Siquijor, we would definitely stay here again.

The location in the mountains with stunning views! So peaceful. Staff were amazing! very helpful and attentive. Peter was the best host. Some reviews mentioned the long bumpy hill up to the resort, which is there, however didn’t bother us, you benefit by seeing the best sunsets! We hired a scooter for our stay, arranged by the resort so easy to get around. Family dogs were lovely & no bother “Justine, Vera, Celine, Shakira, Madonna” Breakfast was great, best brewed coffee too! We had two evening meals at their restaurant, including a delicious steak on the BBQ Cocktails and lunchtime nibbles. Wifi was great for what we needed. We would love to go back :)

This hotel is absolutely incredible. The staff and the owner Peter go above and beyond to make sure that you feel like a part of their family. The owner picked us up personally from the port at 4am. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the water was hot (a luxury in the philippines), and the grounds were lush and inviting. The pool has the most incredible sunset view on the Island. The owner has also planted many banana trees, which guests can pick ripe bananas throughout their stay at no charge. We ate one dinner on the property and it was one of the best meals we had in the Philippines so far. The staff also arranged for a motorbike to be dropped off at the front of the hotel for us for a very reasonable price. There was no stress during our stay and we highly recommend visiting South Mountain Resort.

Everything it was very upsetting to leave .Peter the owner was the best host I have come across in all my years of traveling.The staff were fantastic and so friendly.I would love to return. Thank you South Mountain for such a perfect stay.

The beautiful sunsets and the feeling you were part of a family resort .(also 5 gorgeous dogs that all had names of rock stars) .Do yourself a favour and stay here.

Everything!!!! The location is amazing, the resort is wonderful, all the staff are super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is really really good. The owners are taking care of the resort amazingly, the whole place is just wow! We had a wonderful stay in SMR and for sure going to be back! Oh and they have super cute dogs, which makes the place more cozy :)

Everything was perfect!

we had a fabulous welcome on arrival, the pool is really nice and our room had a great view! free bananas you can pick around the property. owner and staff really friendly and helpful. breakfast was included and was really tasty. kept getting our water refilled in our room. music playing around the hotel which was nice too!

it’s a bit of a long and steep road up to the property so you need a vehicle ideally to go in and out (rent of a scooter or taxi/tuk tuk)

I like the food and the staffs.

I hope they will add more of Filipino kind of food in the future because most of the food is more appealing to Western countries. The pool has no lighting during night time so it would be better to swim during daytime. Some part is not yet develop like the patio beside the swimming pool. It was empty and no other sights to see other than grasses and trees although there was an overlook.

Omg we had the most amazing time here, the location is amazing and the resort is stunning, The room was big and modern and very clean also the bed was so comfy. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel at home and the staff were brilliant. Breakfast is great and we had a bbq on the Monday evening the food was delicious. I defiantly recomend staying here 😁😁

The atmosphere was great such a warm welcome, I was not expecting the room to be like an apartment where you had large fridge 15 litre water cooking and cleaning facilities. The bed was super comfortable. Also Enjoyed the night meal there and liked there was no karaoke allowed at night. Peaceful and tranquil! I will be back for a longer stay next time

Only the entrance road to hotel has not been sealed at the time. A bit bumpy but we'll worth the trip

Everything, we were welcomed by the very friendly staff and of course , the cutest dogs !! The pool is amazing , the room was spacious and so comfortable, best bed . The environment is so quiet , we had the best sleeps . The view is very nice too . Breakfast was big and yummy .
