The staff were very friendly and helpful with all requests we had. The location was great, a 10 minute walk to a beech and also between the old and new town. A short taxi ride if you didn't want to walk. We had a baby and a young child, facilities were perfect for us, I would highly recommend it for families.

On many occasions we couldn't stay by the pool as there were towels placed on every bed, but nobody was using them or in the pool. People queued up early to leave towels on the sunbeds and then went off for hours, meaning others could not use the beds by the pool. The hotel should look to either apply a policy to stop this or if it is already in place, enforce it.

Excellent reception staff - nothing was any trouble. Good size apartments with good kitchen facilities. Great location for beach and the strip. Excellent indoor pool (part glass floor to outdoor pool above to let shimmering light through to indoor pool), jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Didn't use gym facilities. We were not all-inclusive - you can use restaurants in other MGM hotels providing good variety of food options. Ask for room with pool/sea view.

Sofabed not comfortable as a sofa though they appear to be upgrading room furniture floor by floor?

Absolutely LOVED that you could use sister hotel facilities. Our hotel 'forte do vale' was lovely and quiet but walking into town and using other hotels felt like we were going out (out) but still included on all inclusive! (P.s photo is from a restaurant at a sister hotel, I got no pics of the one we were staying in!)

If I was being very picky, the staff in the bar and restaurant didn't speak great English but didn't come as a huge negative as Christiano on reception understood us perfectly and could translate if we were struggling

The common areas were bright and airy and peaceful, and very clean. Lots of sun beds available around the pool and friendly and helpful staff in the pool bar. The room itself was very large and clean and had everything we needed. Buffet was small but had multiple meat and carb options, and every meal I had was tasty. Overall very happy with the value for money. My mum and I had a very relaxing stay and we would definitely stay again :)

Wifi didn’t reach our room but we were farthest from reception so may not affect all rooms.

I really appreciated my stay for many different reasons. The WIFI worked great. The room was very quiet and the appart was very spacious. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped. The location between old town and new town, both about 10 minutes walking, as well as less than 10 minutes walking to the next great beach. Restaurants and small supermarkets are close. The indoor pool was bigger as it looked on pictures. There were some animation activities. I would come back to stay in this hotel if I would come back in this zone.

It would be really luxury, especially in times of energy crisis, but a few more degrees for the outdoor pool would be really fantastic. Eventually I found a bit uncomfortable the canapé in the living room.

We didn't get to Portugal until after 10:30 p.m. We reserved this accommodation for a brief half-term getaway to charming Portugal with my teenage daughter. I was completely taken aback when the taxi pulled up to the hotel, and that was just from the outside perspective. To be quite honest, throughout our entire time, every single person who worked at the hotel treated us like royalty, including the gentlemen at the front desk, the bar staff, the restaurant staff, and our housekeeping team. It was just beautiful and had an apartment-style feel. The living room, kitchen, and beds are all extremely pleasant. In my humble view, the hotel's food is excellent—a perfect 10. With the extra benefit of a minibus to take you to their other restaurants owned by the hotel chain. The hotel chain's restaurants are worth a visit to sample their food. The mini bus drivers went above and beyond to make you feel at home. The indoor pool, sauna, and gym were the greatest parts for me. It was similar to a lavish spa vacation with Portugal tossed in as a bonus. It's possible to walk to the beach. This hotel is fantastic for extended stays, quick getaways, and especially trips with the family.

Since the air conditioning occasionally chilled my food when we were seated at the tables in the hotel restaurant, I believe they need a microwave.

From the moment we walked into reception we felt welcome even though it was 3 hours before our proper check in time. Everything was explained to us on check in. The hotel is beautiful with a real feel of luxury and our apartment was spacious and well equipped. Plenty of food available and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the spa and gym facilities which were included in the price. Great value.

The pool was acceptable and usable but it's getting a little tired and could really do with a little bit of tlc to keep it up to the standard if the rest of the hotel.

Very nicely decorated & extremely roomy delux apartment with excellent kitchen and bedroom, especially the really huge, comfy bed. Lovely foyer and actually all the hotel (corridors, lifts, bar, pool etc.) All the frills one would expect in a 4 star hotel. Food was good - we had the 'All-Inclusive' which had buffet at breakfast, lunch & dinner.

This hotel allow all inclusive guests to avail of the restaurants at their other 3 hotels in Albuferia. We tried the Mexican one night and both the ambience and food was terrible - advice - don't use the Mexican. We tried the Chinese another night and it was disappointing. Best to stick to the buffet at Forte do Vale.

prior to going , we got a call saying the Mutha Forte Vale was closing for the season, and offering us the choice of the both Mutha Hotels nearby. We chose the MGM Oura Beach and had a lovely clean apartment with balcony and sea view. Because we were all inclusive it meant we could go between both hotels for meals . we tended to go for the salad bar for main meals and we enjoyed the food :-having breakfast , lunch and dinner at both establishments on different days. Staff had good customer service skills and were very helpful and friendly .
