Amazing view, good location, big and comfortable bed, good breakfast.

People with OCD might struggle, the lamp is not in the center of the room, the floor pattern was inconsistent (some tiles were different for no reason at all). The television is too small and also centred with the bed. (disclaimer: that did not impact our stay significantly) :)

The facto that the sunbeds were all around the property, (in the green mountain view areas, as oposed to the pool side).

Well, the hotel accepts dogs in the premises, but not in the comon social areas of the facilities. Not a problem with the pets themselves, but with the owners, actually. They were just a few,but have we encountered one huje dog beneath their owners table at breakfirst, (it spooked my kids), and one other day we crossed an owner who decided to take is pet to make his needs in the grassy area, (in the same space that all the other guests use to sun bath... not cool).

We had a long stay with a 5 month old baby and it was amazing. Babies and children can use both swimming pools if using swim pants/diepers. All staff (reception, dinning room) is super friendly and helped out every way they could. The hotel manager greeted most guests daily and made sure everything was ok. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Amazing view. Very good breakfast.

Only minor things like our room was cleaned a bit late some days, no shampoo in the shower (only combined body shower and shampoo) and the room got a bit hot during unusually hot days. Prices in the main restaurant for main courses are a bit expensive (although delicious...) but they have cheaper options in the menu and at the bar.

What a wonderful experience! Without a doubt, one of my new favourite hotels in Portugal! Feels like you are in a little fairy tail- with a beautiful "disney castle", amazing views of Serra da Estrela, quiet little corners to relax by the pool but away from kids! The pool was very cold, but since weather was hot, was good! Gym also very nice, with views of the garden! Bed super confy, pillows too- bathroom quite old school, but somehow looks good with the place. Cool game area- with ping pong, pool and table football! Very cool experience, loved these 3 days!

A hotel that has about 3 or 4 room panflets with procedures on how to be enviornmentally friendly (reuse towels; sheets; careful with water use;etc.)- but then at breakfast you have individual packs of sugar and disposable sticks inside individual paper packets, instead of sugar bowls and spoons! Would be good to have a phone in the Gym- since everything is so far away- to be able to turn on/off TV and manage the hardcore AC, that is on all day and cant be controlled in the gym (also, not great for enviornment/efficiency).

Steep, angled driveway had a rocky surface with lots of gravel - not helpful when trying to get a motorcycle parked! Told, on arrival, that dinner options were limited to a buffet in the restaurant at 35 euros per person. Asked if there was a choice or an option and was told that was all there was being served and the nearest restaurant wasn't within walking distance. Did a search on Google and found there was an excellent rustic restaurant 300m away which we used a couple of times. Not sure why we weren't told about that - maybe the hotel, which obviously caters for wealthy guests, thought it wasn't suitable 🤔

The position on the edge of a mountain was spectacular. The views incredible from our room on the 4th Floor. The rooms are super spacious and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautiful.

The pool was rather small for such a big hotel and it would be great if there was a second pool for children as it gets rather noisy at the pool during the day. They wouldn’t open the big windows in the restaurant and bar as they said the Aircon was on but it was quite stuffy and hot in there.

The indoor pool, turkish bath, sauna are very good and clean, also the gym is small but very complete. Views are amazing, and the fresh air is a plus, also loved the games room with lots of board games. Staff is very helpful and polite.

The room was prepared for me, my husband and son, but only 2 teacups, 2 glasses, 2 slippers, no robe for my son etc.. the only thing they counted him in was the bed and towels. The tea and coffee in the room were very little, when we asked for more, we were charged extra, not nice! I don't agree that snooker/pool should be charged extra, I would agree to a deposit for the balls, but not a charge. The safe in the cupboard was out of order.

it's my second time here. we love this pousada, the views from the rooms, the garden, the pools, the silence in the rooms, the breakfast as plenty of choice. it has a "games rooms" with material for families, table games, and other options to entertain kids. I like the building and the history of it as well.

just the drive from Covilhã it's 10 min. driving with lot's of curves.. :) but it is worth it when you arrive.

Courteous staff and a wonderful view of the city of Covilha and the valley from the room. Comfortable stay in the middle of nature, especially charming at dawn - with the room window open, we were able to enjoy fresh morning air and wonderful sounds of birds.

The road in front of the hotel was completely blocked during our stay for an annual local auto race - on Saturday from 12 pm to 8 pm and starting at 8 am to 5 pm on Sunday. This created a great inconvenience for both days, especially on Sunday as we had no option but to check out at 7:30 am to head back home. It would have been a perfect stay if we could have relaxed a few hours at the property without rushing to check out. The hotel did communicate regarding the race ahead of time, but it didn't clearly indicate the road would be completely blocked off. (We had an impression there would be different roads to access during the race). Also, the main dining for dinner is very pricy for the quality of meals served.

An excellent place to relax and spend some days. The entire staff is extraordinary, the inner pool, sauna and turkish bath were clean, big enough and had a very comfortable temperature, the room was big, comfortable and peaceful.

It is not really a deal breaker, I just wished that there were different pillows since the ones available are a little high. But, not at all, a big issue.
